Okay I figured I'd just make another thread for my Spines/Dark Scrapper as I have a severe case of builditits and I'm always changing it at least once every 2 months. Here is the latest incarnation of my build.

It doesn't have a travel power because I hate the way all of them look and I'd rather just use NR if I really need to go some where.

Its focus is melee defense, recovery, and recharge.

I figured I don't need to focus much on passive regeneration due to dark regenerations massive healing abilities.

I'm really considering not taking Hasten as well because of its endurance crash, and as most know that endurance is a precious commodity on a spines/dark. Damn you end hog!

I'm considering picking Maneuvers for some more defense but I'd like to figure out the calculations of adding another toggle vs. the endurance crash of Hasten and whether or not that extra defense will be worth the loss in recharge.

Well I don't have many characters, only 7, and 3 of which I only play, and I marketeer a lot, and I saved and hoarded a lot of purples when they were 40 million a piece cheap lol. So my builditis makes up for my utter lack of altitis.

Here's the first draft of my spines/dark build. Albeit a little extreme in some cases, (probably more psi resist than you'll need) it still manages to have at least 20% def to all, solid accuracy and recovery on top of managing to fit procs in to throw spines, death shroud and quills. Anyways, let me know what ya think Santorican. Maybe we can bounce some ideas off each others builds.

I have a little more hp and better defs but only 38.8% recharge (no purps, not rich like you lol). But looks good to me, Spine Burst only recharges 1 sec later out of hasten compared to your build. Throw Spines otoh... bad recharge, damn positron set.

I still don't know if I'll level her tho (she's 32), the ST damage is driving me nuts. I teamed with a 50 Spines/Dark yesterday and I was on my DM/DA. I felt bad for him because he took SO LONG to take down an orange boss.

Doom, I'd really suggest taking ripper, it adds a lot more AoE damage to your build. I like that slotting in DR though, it's got better Acc than mine does while maintaining around the same level rech, and end cost.

That is a really really really nice build, it has excellent defense and endurance usage and recovery. The only small suggestion I can give you depending on what their price differences are is to slot two Enzyme Exposures into CoD instead of Cytos it will give you a few decimals more of defense

Oh you're rich. I spent 2 months to make my ice/psi dom perma (80% rech) in i11 AFTER she hit 50 and I only used 2 purple sets, the confuse one (cheap) and the immob (moderately expensive).

But I have a question, Sant (thanks for the compliment btw). Enzymes enhance defense debuff. Are they bugged so that they enhance defense buffs too?

A buddy of mine runs 3 accounts like myself. On two of them he has a spines/dark scrapper. We farmed one day and he ran his two scrappers. He said he had 11 toggles running on each of them and his end didn't move a lick. I dunno how, lol. I do know he took the P. Perfection Pool though.

But the damage is great. It hits hard.

It's good for me, great damage for a set that lacks it for stronger targets. And since I have a lot of practice with melee cones like Shadow Maul I can always hit more than 1 mob, usually 3-5.

In my defense, when purples came out I bought a lot of them when they were 250 million for 5 enhancements so I already have a lot of these sitting in a storage bin in my base lol.

Yeah they are a bug that is now accepted to be a function of hamidon origin enhancements. They enhance defense by 33%.

I notice a difference its also really good when you're farming tough enemies, the knock down really helps.

Oh that was the intention, believe me, I wouldn't put a lonely PF endmod, I'd just use a generic endmod if I didn't want the proc. Thanks for pointing out my mistake.

This guys normally just farms now and plays on the occasional team. I don't have all the pieces of the Erad quads, the LOTG +rech or the PF proc right now, so it is a bit of an aspirational build. I gave up OG because I found I wasn't using it much in teams and the wandering was a little bit of pain the farming scenarios.

It gives up recharge in favor of nice S/L and E/N defense. The project started as a way to shore up the NE defense hole and I just worked from there. I think it has a bit more END, HP and regen as well, at the cost of a little recovery rate and recharge. I don't notice the recharge that much as by the time I hit BU, jump in fire off Burst, jump straight up and at the apex hit throw spines. Most minions are dead after that, so it's clean up with ripper and lunge. Anyway, have fun.

The only suggestion I'd make is to slot a Performance Shifter: Chance for Endurance into PP. Overtime it will give you more endurance than a generic invention enhancement.

Here is my latest build on my Spines/Dark. This character was a favorite for almost 2 years until I made my dark/shiled and I cannot count the number of respecs I have used on him. This current build was to maximize my recharge time although I have yet again been toying with respecing to up my defenses and surviviability. Just not sure I want to give up my recharge.

Below is what I've been using

And Lo, I shall Call him "TOGGLE MAN" for he shall run toggles on his toggles fo toggles are holy.
(yup theres 11 of them, and yet the End is still very managable)

Though its also dusty atm, & needs a respec (damn BotZ nerf) had been using it for x8 farming and started life as a Cim wall farmer.

Just a cheaper, slightly different direction really,

Yeah my spines/da runs 10 toggles but with his current respec in process I'm not sure how many he will have lol.

I'll have to take a look at those two builds when I get home, I'm at school taking my last final this semester, and when I get home its party time!

I took you're advice Sant and worked ripper into my build, tweaked a few things here and there and here it is. This is the build I'm gonna go with. I dropped Impale purely to fit in Ripper, can't say I will miss slow pitching ST spines :P.
