(Villains only) How evil do YOU want to be, really?
The Abrams is one of the most effective war machines on the planet. - R. Lee Ermy.
Q: How do you wreck an Abrams?
A: You crash into another one.
Of course, Heroes contacts actually treat the player with respect NOW so...they don't have to wait at all.

Like it's not totally impossible that the ideals of truth, justice, pece and freedom just might attract a slightly different type of person than the ideals of murder, greed, selfishness and oppression
Trust, loyalty and friendship are going to be in short supply in a place like the Rogue Isles - when social advancement comes through "survival of the fittest", kindness is a sign of weakness and fear.

No I haven't - contacts have a positon to try and keep hold of - showing you that they were scared of you, meaning they were weaker than you, could cost them their position.
|
Edit: Question: What's your end game? To convince those discontent that they are unjustified in their beliefs?
But it doesn't have to be that way. The most recent proof of this is Dean McArthur.

For being The Grim Reaper or part of Death it's self, he kill's for fun, He torment people until he shows them how evil the Humans race is or what he believe the Human race to be any ways. He Sing creepy Demonic Songs like Mary has little Lamb, while Torturing Heroes and Hostages. Also to remind people his Eyes Can Strike fear into people and Cause Madness in his Victim So i have to Say 10 for Pure Evil.

I can see how you might be a bit disappointed with the kind of missions a T rated villain game might give you

Exactly - new content - the contacts already in the game aren't really going to change, and neither is the basic Destined One storyline your best hope for contacts who wet themselves when they hear your name mentioned is from new content.
The same objective as the "Tyrant-is-just-a-misunderstood-hero-who's-just-a-bit-gray-sometimes" debate |

There was a nice sketch from an old cartoon I've long since forgotten that comes to mind:
- You will do it and like it!
- I'll do it... But I won't like it!
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

So, take a month of time, and lose the 'true Villain' badge and perks, whatever they may be...
|
So there may be some extra goodies to staying true, but it wont be a one stop shop like badges.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

That doesn't excuse them for being crappy, nor makes your winking attempts at justifying them any more "cute."

You're wasting your time trying to explain the point to GG. Clearly at some level she is stuck in the "you get what you deserve for playing villains" mentality.
total kick to the gut
This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
I believe that was Lucy and Linus from one of the Peanuts cartoons.

How a grown woman could possibly think that the the constant use of 2 emotes and repetition of the same baseless opinion time after time is in any way cute, informative or conducive to a serious debate is beyond me.
Furthermore, why someone who has never and will never play a villain would choose to spend time commenting in a thread meant pretty much for villain only players is also a great mystery to me.
The only solution being that this person is deluded enough to believe that her 'morality' applies to a videogame which is clearly meant to have two opposing factions which are supposed to offer similarly rewarding experiences.
I actually, at one point, used to believe that there was something worthwhile between GG's ears and that she really wasn't taking herself seriously with this nonsense...but I honestly don't know anymore. And I'm beyond caring.
My only real issue is that when an actual interesting discussion is going on, someone comes and introduces a large mess of pointless nonsense into it that derails everything. And this happens with every thread she pokes her nose into. It's getting to the point where for the first time I'm considering putting someone on ignore. And that's not something I ever do because I usually believe that everyone has something to contribute.
Well ignore doesn't have to be permanent. If someone is really irritating me I ignore them. Often you see people quoting them which reinforces leaving them on ignore (they are just trolls or complete morons) or taking them off.

hey guys this fing anoys me sos i kep talken about it in all freads kk
Sorry this thread has grown faster than I have been able to keep up. I am old I guess.
Two points I would bring up:
The Rikti aren't evil. They are acting in self-defense to provocation by powers from this world in an attack on theirs, no?
By whose defnition are the Rularuu evil? I guess my point is that alien points of view are another facet in the crazy, puppy killer faction. Is an alien desire to be dominant in the universe any more evil that human's desire to fill the vastness of space with colonies? True villains are the ones who know the societal boundaries and attempt to achieve his goals regardless of the rules or consequences.
Triumphant Defenders Forever
Psylenz FF/Psi, ArticQuark Storm/Rad, Symon BarSisyphus Bots/psn, Max VanSydow Thugs/Dk, Cyclone Symon Bots/stm, Blue Loki Ice/Cd, Widow 46526
HelinCarnate:OMG it is so terrible. I have the option to take 3 more powers but no additional slots. Boo F'ing hoo.

The Lineage of War IS evil. Hro'Dtohz wants to remain in power, something he can only do by being at war with humanity. The Rikti Traditionalists want the war to end, and they ARE good. They are much more the 'learned, elder benign' aliens popular in movies.
And, uh...Rularuu doesnt want to dominate the universe. He wants to devour it. Henve 'Rularuu the Ravager'. So...yes, he really is evil.

THIS is the respect I've been talking about. We just want the game to acknowledge that the character has some power behind him. That he or she is more than just some unpowered, unskilled, low level punk that could be crushed easily by just about ANYONE in the Isles. It doesn't matter that the character has slain thousands of his foes and gone up against some of the most powerful Heroes in Paragon, they are still treated as if Johnny Pickpocket can mop the floor with us. If the contact is so much more powerful, then THEY can go deal with Infernal this time. I've already beaten him half a dozen times, and if I'm no threat, then he should be a walk in the park for you.
There's no sense of progression in this case. Your character never evolves, at least in the eyes of the contacts. And if a character never has any power, even min/maxed out at 50, then what was the point of playing the game at all?

But rewriting one TF isn't the same as rewriting an entire side of the game - and as the main red side complaint is about a lack of SFs rather than the quality of the current SFs, it's way more likely that any SF stuff the devs do will be new SFs, not rewrites of the current ones - the devs' priority is new content, not revamps

To heck with Villain players. If they want an enjoyable experience, they can play the good game. Or they can leave, their choice. |

War Witch is known for rewriting old content, and is now the Lead Developer. Perhaps priorities have changed
There is no such thing as an "innocent bystander"
Because really, there's not really any chance they're going to rewrite all the old contacts just to please some players.
