Yeah, that thing.

I made 2 entries, it was very hard to choose which to send in. I liked different things about each.

This one is the one I decided to enter:




When I read this: "the water (there's something fishy about it...)" I just had to draw this image.



For anyone who is curious, here is the one I decided not to enter:


Decided against it since it seemed more like a poster than graffiti. I still like it though.

I love seeing how people interpret the guidelines and seeing the different approaches people take. It's what I love about art. Great submissions, good job all!

Here's what I submitted.




My interpretation was propaganda to the max. Sublimal imagery that his power derives from a supreme being, that he has the power to lead, and that he himself is portrayed as bathed in divine light. Is he a god? Everything else seems pale compared to Tyrannt.

I left out the text when submitting as to allow it to be easily customizable to any number of messages.

Here's my entry, though I'm not entirely sure I got it in on time.
I was gunning for a post-war soviet feel, but with a golden sheen to reflect the apparent perfection of Praetoria. I tried to get an almost art-deco flavour to it. I'd hoped to have the Cole artwork looking a bit more Bruce Timm style, but it looks ok as it is.

Loyalty is the theme and what better way to remind people than the two great symbols of the empire.

All I know is that after doing this, I feel a lot more excited for the new expansion and am getting more into the story of Pretorea. I think I see the Devs dastardly plan...

I wish I had more time to work on the body and some other elements, but work, school and the infant son were really cutting into my alone time.

Really anxious now.
