sent in my energy melee/stone armor brute, all 8 clones mud pots had me immobed despite rooted but that was fine. What was hilarious was one or two of the clones somehow had an energy blast power. Still, nothing that demonic and some purps didn't help deal with.

To be honest I think masterminds will be one toon type that has the biggest problem since all 8 can summon pets and fully upgrade them. 8 clones of a bot MM with fully armed pets all blasting at once......ow.

Also for those that have not yet done the arc where you have to escape your exploding base to obtain a new badge: Your Ouro portal will be offline and if you attempt to use base teleporter/pock D teleporter/market teleporter they will instantly show interrupted right as they start to charge up. Your only option is to RUN.

After-action report for Thugs/Pain:

Ow.

But seriously. The good news? The clones don't use Gang War. *phew* So the first 3 clones went down...I don't want to say "easily enough" but they went down. Then I went down. As I said before, "ow". Okay, run back, pop insps, jump back into the fray. Managed to do some damage, but couldn't take clone #4 before dying. Hit up Ouro, grabbed 12 purple insps. Popped 4 on myself, 4 for Bruiser, and 4 for Arsonist. World of Pain. Hit Gang War, pwn nubs. Still quite a bit of healing going on (for both sides), but I managed to whittle down the remaining 5. This was on base difficulty, incidentally, so the clones weren't even bosses.

Future thought for this mission with a Mastermind: set up a targetcustomnext bind so I can just target the clones instead of their henchmen. I'm thinking my height slider-maxed Bots MM might be easier to pick out, but my Thugs MM blended right in.

/macro T "targetcustomnext Clone"

Army of Meh:

Fire Melee/Dark Armor
I guess it helps having being a bit of a lol-brute build, but I mowed down my replicas in short order with only 1 small purple and 1 yellow.

My fire/wp brute had no trouble either, but some toon types will have a greater challenge then others.

I guess later today I'll get the pain over with and send my SP3 mind dom in.

Seems like this would be easy for a mind dom. Just build domination against the first two waves of clones. Then hit domination just before triggering the third wave. As soon as they spawn, hit them with Mass Confusion.

I honestly think this is another build that can do it without temps or inspirations.

Same. Dominator clones have no domination to protect from mez, so confusion WILL make you win. Just make sure you're in domination so that you can get the drop, and they don't lock you before you lock them.

Which story arc is this in?

The first mission of Good Villains Never Die. It requires the Me, Myself, and My Other Selves Story Arc to be completed. They can be found in the level 25-29 section of the flashback system on the redside.

The first step in being sane is to admit that you are insane.

Wow.....1 fire/kin corr vs 8 fully armed and operational clones.......wow.....now that was a fight!

Too bad my rad/rad though can't seem to make it through, the 8 clones rad attacks are carving through defense like a hot knife through butter.

Egads......I just had a sick thought......8 clones of my mind/energy Super Permadom 3.......oh man I need to think of a plan for that fight....

Hmmmmm and I think I just thought of one......will have to test this later. Devilishly clever if it works.
dom them before they get you?

Edit: btw I tried rule of three, DANG that was hard. As the main healer I told them to go after my dopple first.

Well.. Managed with three friends... Just too be sure. Dont think I would have done alone. I will try though.

The clones are playing like noobs. And are also respecced that way. The engine will grab powers from youre sets.. but not the same ones. The AI is also not as tricky and the clones will not work as a team.

No tanker minds as the clones don't have pool powers. IThe AE npc's can have fly... but although I have fly... I didnt saw my clones fly. Let alone hover. Or leadership. If they had leadership x8 even our team of 4 would have died miserably.

I would like to see the devs add this to something called a perfect clone though.

- The Italian Job: The Godfather Returns #1151
Beginner - Encounter a renewed age for the Mook and the Family when Emile Marcone escapes from the Zig!
- Along Came a... Bug!? #528482
Average - A new race of aliens arrives on Earth. And Vanguard has you investigate them!
- The Court of the Blood Countess: The Rise of the Blood Countess #3805
Advanced - Go back in time and witness the birth of a vampire. Follow her to key moments in her life in order to stop her! A story of intrigue, drama and horror! Blood & Violence... not recommend to solo!

Try being a solo bot/ff MM against 8 fully operational clones. The bulk of them had their dispersion bubbles up, all bots armed and were pelting me with Force Bolt and Repulsion bombs. Fun fight.

Alternatively, break frees last for a period of time. Take one before the fight have a second just in case. Even if you're not in domination you don't have to be vulnerable to Mez if you don't want to be.

Bots/Dark:

(Demonic + Megalomaniac + Force of Nature + 4-5 small purples + 1 medium purple + 2 oranges + 1 Break Free) / 8 Bots/Dark clones = 1 dead Bots/Dark clone and 1 dead Bots/Dark player

EDIT: Piled on a bunch of medium and large purples, brought two large Break Frees, a few large reds to start my bots off with, 2 medium Yellows, a small yellow...took a while but I finally finished off the remaining 7.

Never again...never again.

Also it turns out Nectar isn't very effective against Mastermind clones, it mostly results in the pets attacking each other and the clones using their primary attacks.

Erm. Ow. I'm going to have to play with my difficulty settings, and load up on inspirations (which I never do!) for this mission.

Eight Bots/FF MM's. The MM's use Dispersion Bubble. The Protector Bots use Dispersion Bubble. That's 24 Dispersion Bubbles.

I could barely hit anything. They had no such problem against myself

Not a solo mission (for this badge, anyway)

MY bot/FF was able to do it but yes all those bubbles.....ugh. Purples+Demonic aura+an anti knockback IO for all the repulsion bombs/forcebolts.

My Merc/Dark died pretty quickly. Then I set up outside the room an Tar Patched the Doorway. And pulled them to me. I killed all but 1 clone that time, but last one got me. So I Popped a wakie and resummoned, and took him out.

I cheated on my DS/Thermal, Got the mission at lvl 20. Waited til I was 24(second Tier Pet) and completed it in one run.

I did it today on my thugs/pain it was real easy. I was doing it through oro so I was lvl 29. It was set at -1 to my level but they were even con. They didn't seem to call pets straight away so I took 2 or 3 out before any pets showed up. When there were only 3 left they ran to the end of the room. I did have a snowman out guess he helped a bit.

When they first aggro, the combo of multiple alpha-strikes is just ludicrous. I only got one out on my crab before they defeated him. Returned, now sans my insps. and Serum, and still managed to wipe the remaining seven without breaking a sweat.

How they managed to summon all those pets at a low-level makes me wonder, though.

Did mine with my Necro/Dark MM. My god all the stacking holds, DN and tar patches made me think twice of doing that one again.

i think the hardest fight ive seen so far is when i ran it with a demon/traps mm, 8x ember demons with stacking shields and the clones were killing tohit with smoke grenades, i was blinded about 3/4 of the time

when i ran it with my fortunata suprisingly they didnt use mind link at all which made it much easier since they didnt seem to be running any toggles either
