To our future Demon Summoners

With I-17 we will see an influx of DS MMs. I do not care for playing MMs personally, but I love teaming with them.

My question is what kind of team members will you most be looking for? I have a couple villains, but I am wanting to roll a new one cause I have not played red side in years.

Would you be looking most for Corruptors?...SoAs?...Doms?

Figure I can play a villain a good bit and try to roll something up that will help out the legions of demons I expect to see running around.

(I generally play support-type characters, no interest in stalkers, and very little in Brutes.)

Me, team mates who know how to work as a team. AT doesn't matter, as long as they aren't all "RAWR I'm a villain, I can solo this entire map without you guys".

On blue side I'm picky about the pugs I join as I like to have fun I normally avoid anything that looks to farmy. But the actual ATs are never really a concern. Red side I'm a pug woman of ill repute(hmmm guess the forums don't like that other word) I'll pretty much join anything.

That said I'll be rerolling one of my toons 'Night Messenger' as a DS/Dark

All that said as an MM I love more MMs go go army of 8 MMs!

Masterminds. More and more Masterminds. So many Masterminds, in fact, that we'll crash the entire server list for an hour. That is my dream event.

Thank you. Pretty much this for me too.

I don't need a buffer only, or a tank, or anything like that. I think every AT teams well with a MM.

The only thing I can see with really serious synergy would be SoAs, -40% toxic res on venom grenade...

My plan is to take advantage of another i17 perk and start a Widow/Fort. Lots of AOE, control and AOE Defense Buffs for the entire party. Plus she can stand back a bit and AOE Blast rather than running into what will be a very packed melee range which would probably hammer my framerate.

* My only concern is that she'll be rather like the Ice/Psi I'm currently playing, but at range. But then that may not be a bad thing considering how much I enjoy my Dom.

I've experienced that a few times.

...

I have my computer tweaked to its limits. I'm not getting any more performance out of this without a complete overhaul.

On a team of 8 MMs with only 3 pets each, I will disconnect the moments after combat is initiated.

So... yeah. Teams with my Mastermind? I get concerned if we've got more than three other MMs.

Besides, things always seem more effective with additional ATs in the mix...

Defense, and I am thinking of Night Widows making Demons just plain sick and wrong. Traps corruptors would fill the bill, too. Stacking masterminds is the classic approach.

Triumphant Defenders Forever
Psylenz FF/Psi, ArticQuark Storm/Rad, Symon BarSisyphus Bots/psn, Max VanSydow Thugs/Dk, Cyclone Symon Bots/stm, Blue Loki Ice/Cd, Widow 46526
HelinCarnate:OMG it is so terrible. I have the option to take 3 more powers but no additional slots. Boo F'ing hoo.

While all MM teams are a sight to behold... they have their own problems. Especially in cave maps.

Oh god I forgot about the VEATS....and with the new expanded amount for AoE buffs....

It's going to be messy

In an Orangbegan map we had so many MMs and, in the days before you could walk through them, they created grid-lock and no one could hardly move.

Team TP to the rescue! I TTPd the thirty something pets and player en masse down the hallways about 40 feet per jump every 20 seconds. We were like a gelatinous cube, but with more teeth.

You mean there are actually players who still work as a "TEAM"? They Actually think before rushing in? Use Tactics and such? I was beginning to wonder if such players still existed in this game.

Now to the original question;

AT doesn't really matter that much anymore. Most teams I run on don't question what you are unless we are setting up A LRSF, and need specific things to finish out the Team.

Black-Strike: lvl 50 AR/Dark Corruptor
Brutally Beautiful: lvl 50 BA/Inv Brute
Seared Earth: lvl 50 EC/EA Dominator
Yashi Onuku: lvl 50 Ninja Blade/Ninjitsu Stalker
Death-Widow: lvl 50 Night Widow

More stuffs to make my Demons sturdy. VEATs are probably at the top of that list. A couple of those on any team & it becomes pretty hard to die.

When playing a mastermind, I don't care about who my teammates are. I *am* a team. You can tag along if you want.

3 Crab Spiders, all TT Running + 5 DS/well irrelevant really, but a pain, dark and a poison in there would be nice . hehe....MMs can just walk around in BG mode laying damage down, and the Crab Spiders all with the ranged AoE and of course the 5 (possibly 6 depeandant on build) pets out at once...and capped def

Enjoy!!!

My Demon/Thermal (or /Sonic if it unexpectedly becomes available) won't be too worried about what else is on the team. I'll be able to take the alpha if need be, and I'll bring enough support (and aggro-distraction) myself for at least a small-to-medium sized team.

I guess a clued in dominator or two would be nice, for those enemy groups containing mobs with particularly troublesome abilities (at least before I get the patron hold).

Also VEATs that actually took and use Tactical Training: Maneuvers are always appreciated by my masterminds (well, by any of my chars) - people generally aren't going to single-target shield buff my pets, but the radius on TT:M is wide enough that even the more mobile pets tend to get full benefit from it. The other TT buffs, Mind Link, and/or -res debuffs are great too of course.

And more buff/debuff in general is always a winner in this game.

And of course the standard disclaimer about people who know what they're doing, actually use all the powers available to them (appropriate to the situation), and play as a team rather than just "solo together".

lots and lots of corrs. They're my fave AT. MM's a close second.

2 buffer corrs
2 corrs with /DM
2 more mm's (maybe zombie ones for theme)
1 SoA (crab for MOAR AoE)
1 token brute
