There's no limit that I'm aware of. Make sure everybody who was getting safeguards had the difficulty settings configured to allow AVs, and that your team was big enough for one to spawn.

Ya know, I haven't seen an AV in a Safeguard mission for a long time now, even running them will full teams. They don't seem to spawn at all anymore.
I came across Dr. Aeon as an AV in a safeguard a couple weeks ago.

Dr Aeon ganked me in a Safeguard about 2 weeks ago. I was solo, +2x8, yes bosses, no AVs. I lost because I couldn't kill his EB form solo before his minions escaped.

i think you just have a chance of getting an EB/AV class enemy in a safeguard or mayhem is when your spawn sizes are are x6 or higher (havent tested this but guessing since AVs are balanced upon a team of 6)
i know you have the best chance if your spawn size is set to x8, but i think x6 is a minimum
We had a team of 6 and didn't even get an EB, just bosses. Weird.
You're NEVER guaranteed an EB/AV. You just have a CHANCE on a big team.

Did PI safeguard last week +2x8 solo w/ AVs and bosses and Lord Recluse showed up as AV. After he swiftly beat my *** twice he got away.
LOL. That's cool. We were just trying to figure out the settings. We didn't know it was just a chance at an AV, if it was set to AV's. We did another tonight and still no AV. O well.
Is there a limit on how many times u can fight an AV in a safeguard? My friends and i all have our mishes set to AV and ran a SG 3 or 4 times today and didn't get 1 AV fight. Is it a bug that we don't know about or do you only get 1 AV per SG?
