That should be a full Incarnate PvP badge. 1000 Player kills as a 10th lvl Incarnate.

You heard it here first!

It would only count for defeating non-Incarnate players too, to show just how much you pwn.

Pffft. Anyone paying attention knows the "stick a vowel in front of words" fad tends to change every few years. We had eEverything around 2000 and iEverything once Apple took over the world.

So the smart money is on u being the next hot prefix.*

Maybe we could combine the two, so an Incarnate could be called an ei, or an ei-origin avatar - an ei/ei-o player would probably be very effective in the AE.

Actually, an ei/ei-o player would be a farmer, right?

Yes, that was the idea behind that post

I'm thinking that this is not exactly a level bump more like "Okay, I'm lvl 50, and My incarnate abilities are at level 3. I'm the same level as all the other 50's out there, I just have a few more abilities/perks/slots/whatever it gets us."

So, I imagine, Once you hit lvl 50, Incarnate Level 2, it will become "Level 2 Incarnate Tanker LFT" Incarnate being the nod that you've hit 50 and moved on.

Just my 2 inf.

I think (as others said) we'll end up just adding our iLevels to our regular levels since that's the method that requires the least effort.

I'm thinking kind of like martial arts and black belts. Start as a 1st degree Incarnate (1D50?) work your way up to 10th degree.

Suggestions:
Super Packs Done Right
Influence Sink: IO Level Mod/Recrafting
Random Merit Rolls: Scale cost by Toon Level

But they don't make d50s. You can get d100s, but those are weird. You'd have to roll a lot of d10s and do the maths.

Actually, you'd only be rolling 2 dice. If you're rolling 5d10, you're getting a bell curve of results and not at all the same distribution as a d50 would yield.

Anyone who thinks these will be called anything other than levels is in for a system shock. The developers may call them Incarnite Levels, but since, from what I can tell, they're ten more levels of another kind you can earn on top of the previous 50 levels of another kind, I can guarantee you that these will be the equivalent of raising the level cap from 50 to 60, only by another name.

Of all the ways to add end-game rewards...

Except that it's not.
Will there be enemies up to level 60?
Will we go up to level 60?
Will there be enhancements at levels 51 to 60?

I didn't think so.

None of the above matters since grinding 10 levels is grinding 10 levels. Level 51 or Incarnate level 1? A rose by any other name...

The best comics are still 10!
My City of Heroes Blog Freedom Feature Article: "Going Rageless?"

I'm not sure this will be designed as a grind

It's an MMO, everything is a grind.

I'm 50 - I've got nothing to grind - I just hang out and have fun

Based on what they have said, we only know there will be 10 incarnate levels, that based on what they have said foes will ramp up, as will incarnate abilities, and left the impression that the incarnate levels will be different from previous levels and the incarnate content will be in Preatoria.

For all we know, they pull a fast one from Blizzard's playbook, that is an incarnate may be a sort of epic AT your toon either transforms into, or is unlocked once you hit 50, whose incanate starting level 1 is equal to 51 for all intents, not totally different from the entire concept of the Death Knights in WoW, or something else totally

You seem misinformed: WoW Death Knights are a class that unlocked when you reach 55 with a toon (now it's from the start). They also are a different character that starts a 55. It's not an evolution of your chars.

I suspect Incarnate System would be something like WoW's Path of the Titans: make some missions/achievements/whatever and make a step forward next level on the Path, and you only can do a limited number of steps in a day. Then people couldn't complete all the system in 1 day.

When play = grind, it's time to stop playing.

I think the world would be a happier place if:

1) People stopped getting upset about speculation and waited until they got some actual facts to get upset about.

2) People stopped playing games when the games stopped being fun.

(can't find d121+ )

Edit: theoretically, any even-numbered die could be produced in the dipyramidal shape, though it'd get ridiculous with higher numbers. Similarly, any die could be made in the 'crystal' shape, but higher numbers get a bit ridiculous.

Err... wouldn't you just roll a d% and a d10? d% for the tens place, d10 for the ones place. ta-da!
