End with I17 and GR.

I think CoH/V needs to quit coming out with more content after I17 and GR.

They need to make sure all the I17 and GR bugs are fixed.
Keep the CoH/V servers running...and keep collecting the monthly fees.

Focus all the manpower you can on CoH2.

I think unless you're specific about why it's a good idea to give up on 6 years worth of content and upgrades to make a new game, and how precisely you think a sequel can and should be better than what we have now, there's no meat to your suggestion.

Translation of your post: Make me a brand new game.

This is a useless thing to ask without giving any actual details about what you'd like to see that you're not getting here.

I'd rather keep COX going full throttle. There is such a richness of content here, that any new game (even a theoretical COX2) seems lacking.

Why? What would anyone gain from "starting over?" A better graphics engine and...? We're already getting a major uplift to what we had before, so that's really not much of a reason to create a sequel.

The game mechanics are already pretty decent all around, with new improvements coming down the pike.

If you think of the time and effort creating periodic updates is vs. what would effectively be starting over... I think you'll see their current approach will give us all more bang for your/their buck.

This is shaping up to be the best year for the franchise since CoV came out--possibly EVER. And you want them to pull the plug just after it happens? I thought this subforum had some stinkers, but this one takes the cake in terms of worst suggestion ever.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

It's ranking up there with Martial Arts for Blasters and equal level Mastermind pets, that's for sure.

Okay. If you like that game. Go play that game.

Don't try or suggest bringing Champions Online into City of Heroes.

Oh wait, was this supposed to be a don't mention the game name because it's JUNK deal or something?

This game now seems very old and out-dated.

I think it needs an overhaul.

But then again...these are my thoughts and opinions and I'm fully aware that most people do not think like me.
You need to read this site

Still no meat to your alleged "idea"

Vitality...you now rival Power has the worst suggestion/idea starter ever, and at least Power is funny.

This game has held up through thick and thin and there is no reason we may not end up with a new engine in the future anyway. However bugs and all this game is one of the best it may not have the numbers of some others but in the same thought we get free updates all the time we have a group of devs and community support that cannot be rivalled and a player base that once you have weeded out the loud mouthed "I Quitters" are the friendliest and most supportive of new players I have ever seen.

This game has a life that has many years yet to come the possibilities are endless as our devs have shown us with these new additions forget CoX2 long live CoX

I think you should stop hitting the sauce like that or stop abusing the controlled substances in such a way that it can only plant you in embarrassing situations.

I find it hard to imagine someone would post this as a suggestion without seeing the blatantly obvious flaw in their "opinion"...

I still maintain that simple declarative statements are not ideas.

Okay, let's look at Everquest for a second. It's been going 11+ years now. They just released an update back in December.

And this is ALONG SIDE of EQ2 whch is roughly the same age as CoH.

Sorry to disappoint you, but this game still has a lot of room to strech it's legs yet.

Doing it simply because a subjective "this other game I played looks better" has to be up there in the 99th percentile of idea dumbness.

I agree that endurance issues for some AT's should be looked at for i17 and GR...

Oh wait. This isn't that kind of thread.

Uhm. Vitality. As this has been a continually evolving game (see CoV, GR and the upcoming i17 ) I'm not sure what you're getting at.

Ultra Mode will provide a new graphics engine/mode, but not one that will break the game for those with older hardware.

As more manpower has been added to the game staff improvements that we were told would be difficult, or nearly impossible given the constraints to staffing, have been achieved. Power customization for one example. It is of course a work in progress as there is more that can be accomplished in that area.

The Dev's continue to tweak, stretch, pull and prod the original game engine to make it do more and better things for the game. (I'm not talking PvP here, so my apologies there.)

They continue to add content to the game, though some of it hasn't made the full player base satisfied.

This isn't, and hasn't been CoX v.1 in a long time. I'm not sure it would qualify as CoX v.2. Probably more along the lines of Cox v.3.21, but that's really my opinion, nothing based on facts.

So no. I think they should continue doing what they're doing. Finding ways like GR to broaden this silly fun game we play and make it more enjoyable.

95% of the people on this forum will defend this game to the end. As they should. This game has been great and honestly I'm not be upset with any of their updates. I mean honestly if you look back you wonder how could you even go back to that? (Maybe the pvp update but thats probably it). When I look back at the old sk system, I wonder now how I even played with that

Even the mini updates they have given us have made a big difference. To even say they should stop everything to work on another project is just stupid. This isn't matrix online? We are actually doing good, why throw away something if it isn't brokem?
