How long is something in CB?
3-4 weeks is fairly typical.

The average length of Closed Beta seems to be 28 Days. If that's the case, Issue 17 should, in theory, go into Open Beta on March 30.
(Unless, of course, you add up the actual number of days of Closed Beta [167] and divide by the number of past Closed Betas [7], where the Average comes to 23.85714285714286 Days... >.>)

As said, expect 3-4 weeks, however it is a fluid process. They probably plan to have a minimum of 3-4 weeks in the schedule, but if only in beta, they won't hesitate to push it back if a large game-breaking bug is encountered that takes a longer time to fix.
Typically that won't happen because they have fairly thorough in-house testing before it even hits beta, but that's what beta is for, finding things they didn't think of to test during the in-house testing (nothing beats the random thoughts of a user who has no idea how the program works), or stuff that just was missed. Big game breakers are rare at that stage, but still possible. You'd rather then push it back a month to fix a big bug than rush it out, then find the bug and have the whole game broke for that time.
One thing I'm worried about for this beta is time constraints. The devs have been announcing release dates ahead of time and not giving themselves much window. Personally I feel this is a bad idea, as it means the beta period for i17 is two months tops, period, unless they extend the date. They've told us i17 will launch in April, which means even if open starts on March 30th, they have at most 30 days to get it ready for live. Whether it's actually ready by then or not.
Dispari has more than enough credability, and certainly doesn't need to borrow any from you.

Also noticed, your avatar of Aeris gets sadder as the weeks progress.
Well if that's the case will there still be time to see Demon Summoning in beta or will it be simultaneous for use as the beta testers, considering those who pre-purchased Going Rogue get access in April.

Unlike Closed Beta, Open Beta seems to last approximatly bacon days... o.o
Adding it all up and dividing by 8 yeilds an average of 25.125 days of Open Beta.

Bacon days.
Mmmmmm.
We need more of these.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

PS- don't get on people's cases for not reading replies if you're not going to read his whole reply. It was clearly facetious, kidding around since you're question is asked and answered.

To be fair, this subforum currently seems to be devoted entirely to asking questions about answers that were already received.

You linked a reply in your own thread to the top of your thread? How recursive.

How long is something in CB? |
(Issue 14 in particular, with the Mission Architect addition, really should have been in closed beta for like an extra month, with intense focus on filtering out exploits.)
Main Hero: Chad Gulzow-Man (Victory) 50, 1396 Badges
Main Villain: Evil Gulzow-Man (Victory) 50, 1193 Badges
Mission Architect arcs: Doctor Brainstorm's An Experiment Gone Awry, Arc ID 2093
-----
I14 is the one that really killed my interest in helping to stamp out bugs. A lot of those exploits were pointed out well in advance.

Just what the title says, I'm just curios as to how long an issue is in closed beta typically or on average?
