Characters based on Villain Groups/Gangs

I know this subject is an old one but it is always good to see creativity based on Villain groups from the game. The most i have seen are Hellions, Skulls, Trolls, Family, Carnies, Voids and The Council.

I have one based on the Lost and she is a Mutate Slugger War Mace/Willpower Brute. I have enjoy the idea very much and i will like others if they want to share the characters they made based on Villain groups no matter they have make them for the Hero side too.

Screen Shots or just Descriptions are very good.

I have a Thugs/Dark MM, Total pwnage, who was once a member of the Hellions. He was about to become a Damned, but his mutation manifested itself and he gained Dark powers similar to those of the Skulls. He was driven out of the Hellions and tried to join the Skulls but was driven away from them too. So he started his own gang, the HelSkuls.

I also have a MA/Regen Scrapper, T3h N1nj4 Fr34k, who was a Freakshow until he realized that the life of a Freak wasn't the one he wanted. He fled from Paragon City to escape the Freaks and wandered the country, but no one would accept him. Then he stumbled across a dojo, and the people in it greeted him with open arms despite his "Upgrades." They taught him enlightenment and trained him in martial arts. Now he's back in Paragon City to show the other Freaks the light. They can be redeemed, or get pounded. Their choice. I also had a lot of fun writing his bio. It's supposed to be him talking to the reader, and he talks in 1337speak.

Edited to add pics

I have an Ex-Nemesis character (thank you Roman armour), a PPD Special Response Unit cop, a Troll, a 5th Column member and a Vanguard Colonel. All work well so far, even though I really have signature group costume envy on Nemesis and 5th Column

I have a love/hate relationship with such characters. I usually can't have more then one at the same time. My current idea is a Freakshow scientist who's been implanted with Rikti tech and implants to make him produce green lightning.

My former NPC group tie-ins included a Vahzilok disciple, a Fifth Column Vampyr, a Council Ascendant, and a Family Capo encased in power armour.

I do that. My DB/Ninja stalker Silk Talon is a Tsoo madam, my crab spider Doc N33dl3z is a Meat Doctor with stolen Arachnos tech, and my blaster (soon to be rerolled as a bots/thermal MM), defender, and corruptor are Menders Epoch, Lathrop, and Zeal.

I have a BS/Regen Scrapper named Sister Scylla, who was climbing the ranks of the Knives of Artemis before she turned on her sisters. Long story why, it relates to her real sister (another one of my characters), so let's just say she was way too inexperienced to win against them and was found in a vacant lot in Kings Row sliced up with her head split. Should've been dead by all rights, but somehow held on. Hero Corps offered her a chance at redeeming herself. Yes, she will be taking Weapons Mastery and slotting Caltrops for recharge.

Sadly most of the KoA stuff is off-limits to players. I'd dearly love to have that sweet-looking serrated sword at least.

I have some:

Sky Serpent the Thugs/Storm; a Tsoo Sorcerer expelled by the Tsoo and targeted for assassination for accessing lore he wasn't authorized to study. He's still a gangster at heart, so he has collected a force of more normal criminals to work for him.

Special Effectz the Illusion/Sonic; Freakshow. Why does he fight for the heroes? Freakshow don't NEED reasons! Violence is violence! And the heroes have cool stuff he can weld to himself.

Soundz the ( now deleted ) Sonic/Sonic Defender; Freakshow. He's so high on Excelsior that he doesn't know he's fighting for the heroes. He thinks he's kidnapping the people he rescues, that he's fighting Longbow when he beats up Arachnos and so on.

Earthshard the Earth/Psi; a Devoured human subjected to an experimental process to cure her. It rendered her mostly human and severed her connection to the Hamidon, but she has few memories of her time either as a human or a Devoured.

Killshock the Elec/Ninjutsu; renegade Crey employee who stole the experimental assassin powersuit he was in charge of building.

Night Revenant the Dark/Dark Brute; the product of a short lived collaboration between some Skulls and the Circle of Thorns. They wanted an undead Bone Daddy, and got a walking corpse inhabited by an inhuman dark entity that killed them all.

Hell's Betrayer the Thugs/Dark; a former Hellion who ate and killed ( in that order ) thirteen of his Blood Brothers with an iron dagger tempered in the blood of a madman, in return for dark powers.

I once had a Dark/Something Brute that was supposed to be an ex-Skull who joined the Trolls. He was supposed to be someone that USED to be a brilliant strategist, and a brutal and vicious gang leader, but he eventually got so hooked on Superdyne that it left him a blundering idiot. He was fun to play.

One of my favourite ways to design a character, I must admit...

I have an ex-Nemesis MM, an ex-KoA Blood Widow, the requisite Hellion disguise, plus an attempt at creating a Sky Raider which I'm rather happy with. Pictures to follow after lunch.

My kin/dark defender, Reformed Skull Girl, was a Skull girlfriend when her powers manifested. She thought she could become a Bone Mama, but a gang of Bone Daddys forcibly dissuaded her of the notion of female Skulls in their ranks. When she recovered She became a hero to get revenge on the Skulls, and found she liked being a hero.

Arc #271637 - Welcome to M.A.G.I. - An alternative first story arc for magic origin heroes. At Hero Registration you heard the jokes about Azuria always losing things. When she loses the entire M.A.G.I. vault, you are chosen to find it.

Ardent Viridian on Virtue is a former Tsoo Green Ink Man energy/SR brute.

And currently in the works on Pinn is Der Freischutz, Malta Gunslinger gone rogue, currently operating under the alias of Axel Tenebaum, a cowboy themed hero.

I've got a claws/energy stalker, the Dampfjaeger ("Steam Hunter"), who's an advanced Nemesis automaton. Yes, you can get very close to the regular Nemesis uniform; I used the robe with the buttons on the shoulder (robe 3, I think?), some Sharp Epaulettes, the Breather with the cord from the Science pack, and a few other odds and ends. People tell me they target him by mistake during missions, so it must have worked. His energy aura is recolored the darkest white possible, making it look like steam.

My rad/energy blaster has his powers colored to more or less match those of the Legacy of Light from the Legacy Chain, and one of his costumes is as a Radiant of Light, sans helmet. The Legacy Chain shoulders aren't available, but you can get close.

I also have Agent Walters, a Crey Special Agent. I'm planning on making his other outfits look like other ranks of Crey, when I get around to it.

And finally, there's his girlfriend, Analyst Rayce, who is a Hero Corps Field Analyst. You can't get the Hero Corps chestpiece/logo combination on a player character, but you can match the rest of the outfit exactly. Her alternate costumes are a Merit Vendor, a Wentworth's sales associate, and an Ouroboros Mender. I'm trying to think up another noncombat faction to use for her last outfit.

My favourite group based char has to be my AR/Pain Corr, Kayla Drake, and ex-Nemesis army adjutant;

Just realised I need to update them slightly. Ah well, it's still close.

Salvager Blue, up over in my avatar, has been a member of the Resistance since Issue 1.

61866 - A Series of Unfortunate Kidnappings - More than a coincidence?
2260 - The Burning of Hearts - A green-eyed monster holds the match.
379248 - The Spider Without Fangs - NEW - Some lessons learned (more or less.)

My dark miasma/mercenaries MM, Dr. Dusk, is a former 5th Column scientist/vampire researcher who fled the group with a squad of loyal soldiers when the Council took the organization over.

My stone/stone tank, Slab Phil, is an Outcast brick who saw the error of his ways after getting sent to the hospital and jail umpteen times by random heroes. Since he was created before the official Outcast background was posted, his origin is magic instead of mutant, which might explain why the Outcast life was not for him. He still digs the earth tone wardrobe, though.

The non-epic version of Never-Moore is a Mercs/Pain Mastermind who got tired of all the annoying crappe going on around his otherwise lovely humble home in Primeva. So he arranged to train with the Sky Raiders to get the skills (and subsequently a source of equipment) needed to operate as a hero in the Isles.

He now has a full complement of troops working for him, on perma-loan from the Sky Raiders:

All versions of his son, Stellar Jay (both heroic and villainous) have some ties to the Warriors. The heroic version (Plants/Rad Controller) broke away from them after he finally realized that these guys were just going to remain street thugs and not use their abilities for good.

The villainous versions got out after getting into some trouble and serving time. And now he is following in pop's footsteps and working for right in the Isles. One is a bit of a vigilante (Plants/Energy Dominator), the other (AR/Dark Corruptor) is operating under corporate guises as CEO of the Vulture Capitalists.

The Dominator version also has a costume that is highly Warriors inspired. This was the best I could come up with for a Warriors look...

His basic super suit is somewhat silver age inspired...

All versions of him have this, with slight tweaks here and there. No screenies of his Vulture Capitalists suit yet, I'll post that later.

Very creative all of the characters based on the different groups in the game. Happy to see this post have got some replies. I hope we get more costume parts and especially hands in additional of Monstrous to have more options for bare hands.

Thanks for sharing your character pictures and stories involving them.
