Double XP and the market (again)

People got absolutely insane with the prices they were paying for generics on Saturday. I saw L30 recharge IOs hit 1M a few times, with fairly frequent forays to 500k.

I got 2 mill for a level 25 End Red, and sold a bunch of them for 700k to 1 mill.

Yikes, didn't know the low level stuff was that nuts. At the rate stuff was moving an ambitious fellow could probably have picked up the crafting table in a single evening.

/me kicks myself for not finishing my blueside marketeer's crafting badges

I had a couple of market toons that sold out their inventory, and I was pulling stuff out of my base. I have at least one IO table of stuff crafted just to sell, but I remembered that in another table I had a full set of level 50 Obliteration. I always thought I'd use it on another character, but I've since picked up the practice of slotting everything in the 30-35 level range. So I put the full set up for sale. I set the price at the high end for each piece. I wanted to get my money's worth.

They all sold in 24 hours. >.>

That's just a different kind of investment strategy.

Reall market madness should hit in the next few days as people who didnt get there DP to 50 before or early on in the weekend start wanting some of the fancy IO's.

I really didnt do much for the basic IO market this time around, my bins were full already and my 2nd marking SG is still being worked on.

between about 7 alts, I sold over a hundred lvl 35 End Mods @ $500K apiece over the weekend.

I sold around 50 generic IOs that were a tossed salad of acc, heal, end mod, and end redux that we lvls 25-30.

Four lvl30 accs I sold for over 5 mil apiece (i think someone mistyped)

Crafted 16 thunderstrikes and sold over half of them

took profits and bought numinias (kept) and positrons (sold)

total profit: approx 80 mil

basically, if you see a miki on Triumph, it's probably cute and it's probably me.

Huge thanks to cuppamanga and all the folks in the mac help forum for prolonging my borrowed time on this game.

Piker compared to what you guys made but I spent almost all the weekend playing. I did some salvage flipping, sold some IO sets and some generic IO's like Damage and accuracy and made about 125 million. Pretty good for someone who just started marketing and mostly played. Heck, I didn't level my first 50 until nearly the end of DXP.

Also, I didn't prepare enough stuff for sale. My SG base isn't completely kitted out yet and I didn't start making stuff to sell until March 3rd. So while I didn't make a killing I am considering this a dry run for the next one. (which I suspect will be concurrent with GR being release. That may really change up the markets)

Sell your obliterations and positrons I don't mind paying retardedly high *** prices as I'm not a cheap ***, but it sucks when there are none to buy at all other than level 50s.

... so far I'm up around 200 million on my mild level 50 Thunderstrike/Crushing Impact flipping spree. 10 of each type, each side, selling for 5.1 million each. Most sold for 6 million, but a lot sold for 10. Actually, most didn't sell, but I expected that and that's why I marked them up ... umm, I don't remember how they do retail math, it's either 90% or 900%. Bought for half a million each.

Also, to my surprise, I flipped a few respecs. (Guys! I was just trying to store a couple billion! )

Right before double XP I bought about 100 Scirocco's Dervish(all types) since the recipes were selling for 500k-2M. Been making several times my initial investment and I still have about 30 to sell.

I also had about 75 Achilles' Heel procs since right before blasters got Rad blast that I am finally selling(I took an extended break from the game). That is one of the best investments I made in a long time.

Also had several miracle and numina uniques plus five sets of Oblits and Kinetic Combat and various other high end IOs here and there.

So far I've netted over 2.5 billion on my initial investment. So I'm happy.

In this day and age with such souces of inf, there's much more convinient ways to make inf.

So for DXP i can't even think what i made, i think i got a heca or something but i forgot. So yeah i decided to play the game as opposed to playing virtual ebay.

Respecs dropped in price over 2XP (or they were inflated beforehand)...Id been quietly buying at 160m and selling at 200m then all of a sudden Im seeing my billionaire storage buy order of 10 respecs at 130m start hitting and Im blinking in confusion....thatll teach me to store moola at more absurd prices...you know, just in case they hit.

Really? Me too! Except for maybe an hour and a half over four days where I made a few hundred million.

Same here.

I didn't make a butt-ton. But I was leveling a bunch of lowbies. I did take my namesake for a single Nemesis farm (was at work and getting pestered periodically, so I needed something I could let just sit for a few minutes here and there). Took two friends who were idling so they could grab a couple easy levels and finished up in about an hour of play (closer to two due to interruptions). Heck there were a couple times where I walked away in the middle of combat without any problems.

I came out with about 11 million in inf and drops worth about 2x that.
One friend went in 27 and came out 29-1/2. The other went in 3 and came out 19-1/2.

Yer funny...come to the market forum and deride people for marketearing....next go to the PVP forums and tell them you played the game instead of playing virtual fight club

I dont mind really, just a funny way to conduct business...

I didnt ramp up...didnt really worry about swapping slots, but the volume of people buying things allowed me to move quite a bit without really trying. Market slots kept turning over while I was playing. And honestly I was never the last one to the mission when I did swap slots around....usually closer to first.

Controller from 22-31
Scrapper from 45-47
Crab from 22-27

Had fun teaming like I havent in a long long while

Was away for most of DXP, so just put a load of stuff up for sale in the buy for 1-2, craft for 1.5 sell for 20 type range and sold about 30 of them.

Was there a drop in purple prices this week? I was only monitoring Ragnaroks, but I'd under-bid on a spread of them and been sitting there, not quite getting them, for weeks. Prior to the 2xp weekend, I re-bid to just under the going rate. Right after the weekend I snapped up two of the pieces, but was surprised to see that the going rate had dropped 50 million on each (and filled up the "last 5" sales at that new low price, so it's wasn't a single low sale). I got a third set piece two days later, although the price on it didn't drop significantly.

Wasn't expecting them to drop in price. I guess I'm technically no worse off then if the price had stayed roughly steady and I'd bid what I did, but I do hate to feel like I overpaid by 50 million apiece AFTER waiting for weeks (the worst of both worlds!) :P
