[QUOTE=LordBoopea;2652978]So sorry, but Cobalt and cronies are not entitled to have any kind of monopoly over global channels...QUOTE]

I've been a member of BMT of Champion since the beginning, and I had no clue Cobalt had cronies.

Alas, we don't want a monopolized channel, Cobalt is simply saying that red talk goes on in BMT.. If you don't see it, then you must not be in the channel.

If folks want to join up, that is their choice, lets respect that someone else might make a different decision than you might, or perhaps hold a differing opinion.
Lies, you're not sorry.

And it's not about a monopoly. It's the game o' Life.

That was a joke. Relax and get over it.

P.S. I have cronies?

Couldn't have said it better myself. I was only pointin' out the premise o' the channel, and that's it's a separate channel itself, defeats it's intended purpose.

I'm confused here, Elf. I'm a nobody but you don't consider me a lame player? Make up your mind, dude.

I think your more known for being a forum Celeb then actually playing this game good. I mean last time I saw you in RV you were getting wreck and left the zone pretty quick with your tail between your legs.
Thanks for clarifying that the only people that are good at a PvE game are those that PvP. I knew I was doing something wrong. Guess I better turn in all my lvl 50 characters....(sniff).

Please teach me, oh wise one, your secret base camping technique, so I can be a good player. Maybe the classic butt-kissing of an SG leader so you can feel important. That seems to get you far as well.

I was trying to figure this out, I haven't seen any blue men/women following you ingame..

Maybe someone will elaborate on that comment.

I don't know who is in charge of this operation, but something is afoot.
I saw them in person once, good times.

Regarding everything else: loldrama. How much longer will this thread continue? Because at this point it's honestly getting kind of old.

I caught their show in Las Vegas, maybe around ten years ago. Loved it, but would probably appreciate it more than I did then. I'll hopefully see them again someday. You should definitely see them first chance you get.

And you know I'd fix your connection, but you're several thousand miles away. Fix that first and then we'll talk about your connection.

This? This is a thing I will do.

This? This is unconstructive and makes me a sad Silas :C

The obvious solution is for you to get your transatlantic flight on and start fiddling with wires, settings and buttons.

I had almost forgotten about that. Who can truly forget 'Cobalt Librarean'?

I will be making a new channel for the upcoming Going Rogue issue/expansion/whatever you want to call it. It will be called "BMT Vigilante". It will be a channel for those who don't know whether or not they want to do Bs, Ms or TFs/SFs and all on that particular day. It's for those who are traveling between the light and the dark and stuff (deep stuff, REALLY deep stuff). So if you're on that grey side for any given day....well this new channel will get you into an already existing team, OR enable you to make a team of your own!

BMT Vigilante - It's The New Grey!

I wonder if there will be giant monsters in Praetoria...they don't really seem conducive to a utopian society.

Back on topic...

If you would merge BMT redside with another channel it wouldn't be BMT of Champion but probably rather Champions Unites. Why? Because of the free-speech philosophy behind the two channels. It's no secret that the mods on BMT of Champion aren't afraid to use their power (not that that's a bad thing). So merging BMT Redside with BMT of Champion wouldn't be a good idea.

For a simplified example let's say that the game Darksiders is BMT of Champion, Dante's Inferno is BMT Redside, and Champions United is God of War. All 3 are good games in their own right and do what they set out to do well. However Darksiders is a different beast than Dante's Inferno or God of War. So to argue that Dante's Inferno should go away because Darksiders already exists is a bit silly. They both offer 2 drastically different experiences (although are both in the same genre). You could though however argue that Dante's Inferno isn't needed because God of War is already in existence because the 2 are so similar. However you could just not care that Dante's Inferno is similar to God of War and get both.

I have all 3 channels so I don't really care one way or the other. I could see BMT Redside being used by people that only play villains and don't want to sift through hero talk. However though it seems the population of such players is really low.

I think you're thinking about it too hard.

Let's all drop the pretenses that Champions United or BMT Redside are in existence for any other reason than someone getting upset on the playground and deciding to take their ball and go play somewhere else.

The best channel would be the one that has the most people, period. Every time a channel divides, for whatever reason, it reduces in effectiveness. It's simple math, folks.

Here's a sample shot of how the channel can work without being heavy-handed:

Last night there were folks that wanted to start up a Kickball match. They talked about it for at least ten minutes before they started, and answered several questions about it from a few new people. They got people to show up for it, and the whole thing was perfectly civil. No one complained "OMG pvp talk in BMT! That's not what this channel is for!" (never mind that there are pvp badges, which came up in conversation) No one complained that they couldn't find other teams because the channel was talking about PvP and drowning out their requests. Someone advertised a match, they talked it up for a bit to get interest, and then it stopped...all by itself. This happens every day. People can conduct civilized conversations all by themselves, even when the teacher is out of the classroom.

Let's try to do more of this.
