Soo... GR Preorder?

Okay, so, where can a interested little fanboi living in the middle of Bum<@#$%>, Nowhere get his hands (paws, claws, tentacles, whatever, I've an open mind) on a pre-order of the superspecial version of GR?

They've just made an announcement with some details here. Pre-order available sometime in March digitally, which I presume means the NC Soft store.

I am getting it all. Powersets early, expansion (of course,) and the Complete Collection Item Pack. I will spend the extra $15 bucks (if the Complete Collection Item Pack does price at $10) because to me having Dual Pistols 5 months early and Demon Summoning 4 months early is so worth the money. I will just upgrade with the item pack on launch day.

We'll probably get prewhatever as soon as the test server becomes a live build.

Pre-PURCHASE of Praetoria-only (no goodie pack included, but early access to 2 powersets), which is digital-only, and NCSoft-online-store-only (and maybe Steam), will happen real soon now.

Pre-ORDER of CoH/V+Praetoria (including goodie pack) can be done at a retail store OR at the NCSoft-online-store.

The seperately sold GR goodie pack is digital-only and NCSoft-online-store-only (and maybe Steam), will happen when GR goes Live.

What I'm getting from that link to Avatea's post is this:

Prepurchase for the normal $30 Going Rogue expansion will happen early March. It does not come with game time, but will allow you to use Dual Pistols in March and Demon Summoning in April, before the expansion goes live.

When the expansion goes live in July(morelikeAugustamirite?) those who prepurchased will have the option of "upgrading" to the Complete Edition which will give them the goodie pack(but not include any game time.) Upgrade price to be determined.

Or, if you don't care about getting Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning early, you can just wait and buy the Complete Collection at launch, when it will be available either online or at retail stores, and will include a free month.

I understand the plan. But to be honest, it's a bit convoluted. I'd rather pay my 40 bucks now and not have to worry about upgrading later, even if it didn't come with a free month.

You know, I read the announcement, and what I got out of it is that I don't have to get hold of a physical copy of anything, which means I can buy them all online, which means I'm a happy panda. I'm sorry to be selfish, but that's all that I really cared about

More practically, you can get the expansion prepurchase and get dual pistols and demon summoning, or you can wait for the complete version and NOT get dual pistols and demon summoning early. Since you can grab an upgrade to the full version later anyway, I fail to see why I'd want it. I don't care about the cost at this point, just the availability, and if I can go Expansion Only -> Expansion + Item Pack, then what else is there to think about? None of us posting here are new players anyway.

Pistols has to be Live within two weeks. As a no-bonus, all the people that grab the pre-order now will lighten the load for all the old vets that purchase the CE in July.

But the store will probably still break. So remember folks, if you hit "BUY" 45 times, don't be surprised to see 45 charges on your account.
