Anyone know how you can buy 1 month's game time ?

I always used to use my Switch card but they have stopped doing it now...

Don't tell me to use paypal that isn't an option.

Prepaid credit card?

Debit card?

Out of curiosity, why is PayPal not an option?

Any normal credit card/debit card. Prepaid Credit Card. Do stores still sell the game-time cards anymore? There are several options.

Buy a game card, any prepaid card, a debit card.

So that does work? It's good to know, because I'm in need of Super Boosters and I don't have an actual credit card.

I can use my debit card (switch) but you only have the option to buy 3 months at a time.

Visa Gift card, that's interesting i may look into that.

thats funny. i use my debit card and pay monthly. none of the payment options are blanked out. but as others are saying, get a pre-paid CC, or a game time card or something.

yeah, but he is saying "Switch" - sounds like a different, non-US system other than Visa/MC/Discover/American Express (Overcharge the vendors)...

Especially with the bit about Union server.

You can use Visa gift cards in the online store (which is what I do). You can't, however, use them for paying for time since they don't allow (at least the ones on the rack here in eastern Canada) for recurring/automatic payments, which the gift cards don't allow for.

Visa/etc gift cards here in the States function exactly like regular credit cards, so you can use them as subscription sources as well as one-time purchases.

In addition, I used gift cards to pay for City while I lived in Canada for the first 6mo of my City 'career'. I'm not sure why you are having trouble. I had a subscription on a reloadable Visa gift card I got through Citizens Bank.

Ah. Reloadable's likely a different matter - regular Visa Gift Cards (ie, the ones you find on the gift card racks at department, grocery and drug stores) are *not* reloadable.

Gamestop still sells the time card. At least they had one on the shelf last week when I was there. As a bonus you get a jet pack with every month you pay for this way.

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

Those are game cards not time cards.

They work the same. Except game cards give you the fly pack, which time cards do not.

You can use the Visa Gift Cards to pay for time (I'm in Ontario, so I'm sure). My roommate and I have often used them when our little local game stores are out of timecards (though they haven't been out since the release of Aion, even our Walmart stocks them now). Yes, you can't set it up for recurring monthly, but there's an option for one-time payments for time that work perfectly well with the Gift Cards.

*grumble* Dammit. Only reason I was away from the game for 8 months was that the EBGames/GameStops around here (Halifax) stopped carrying the cards 'til just recently. :/

Hmm. Looking at it now... At today's exchange (plus the 2.5% foreign currency fee on the card), it'd be $16.50 per month (off of a $25 card with a $3.95 cost to buy - more than enough left over to get a jet pack every month, but not super boosters as they come out, ah well. :P And the remainder can always be spent on snacks or whatever in the real world). It'd be a pain to do, though. I'll stick with PlayNC cards since my monthly errands take me near a GameStop anyways...

Anyways, sorry for the thread hijacking. :P

No, using numbers is perfectly acceptable, especially if you want to set them apart from the text.

Depends on how the number is being used. It should be "one month" not "1 month." Normally I wouldn't care, or mention it, except for the giant, garish animated banner decrying poor grammar.

Wrong.

While a game card can function as a time card, in addition to the bonus of a flypack game cards can also be used to create new accounts, thus calling them "Game" vs "Time" cards and the extra cost in the card.

I can't promise anything, and I haven't looked... but if they have Aion-only branded time cards, they should work for CoX. I've had friends by time cards for Linage and Auto assualt to use for CoX.

The timecards that appear to be Aion-only branded actually aren't...they're regular NC timecards with new packaging to promote Aion. They still have the logos for CoH and Lineage II in the corners, with Statesman and one of the Lineage signature characters on the front, and can most definitely be used for CoH like any other timecard. And, if you manage to run across one of the old game-specific timecards, those can also be used for CoH. When NC moved to the univeral timecard system they made the serial numbers for the old game-specific cards valid for all their other games as well.

I get my time cards at Best Buy for the 30 day time cards. I am also not huge fan of paypal as i work in the banking industry and there is alot of overcharges and account information theft. Best bet is to buy game time cards or get a pre ordered visa card if possible or if your bank offers free checking accounts and debit cards get one for just online purchases and then only use it for that reason...that way if your card is compromised it isnt a big deal since its not ur main account and there is only the money in that account that you would use to pay your game time

Not wrong. In using them as extending time on an account (which is the context in which this thread exists), they work the same except the game card comes with a fly pack and the time card does not.
