fun brutes

What in your opinions is the most fun brute to play? Looking to try something new thats just fun, want see to what you guys think is the funest.

Make one and try it. If it aint fun, make another. Just that simple. Since we don't know what you think is fun or what your playstyle is, we cannot tell you what you will find fun.
You get a lot of character slots scattered on all the servers. With free server transfers extended to the end of Feb, don't worry about which server you make one on.

But my most fun brute to play is my SS/Fire or SS/SD. Nothing like extreme smash numbers.

Give ElM/ElA a try. I think that can be fun no matter what your playstyle is. Good AoE too.

For Brutes I suggest */*.

war mace and energy armor.. while funny, may or may not be fun. but it is pretty and strong!

My Favorite brute is Crunch., my 50 Stone/Willpower then again he was my first villian to 50.
Something I have been considering is Dark Melee/Super Reflexes. I've been working on a DM/Ninja stalker that has been insanely fun to play. Nice postional defenses with -accuracy attacks, plus you have a self heal that is aa pretty nice attack.
Another idea is Dark Melee/Fiery Aura, two damage buffs, two end recoveries, two heals, but I've always felt Fiery Aura was a little squishy.

Claws/Elec or Claws/WP is what I would recommend. Claws/Elec is a little harder to play because it has fewer passive powers, but it has a PBAoE damage aura and the awesome looking Electric Armor animations (I get a lot of comments on the coolness factor of my Claws/Elec). Claws/WP is just a plan old unstopable killing machine. Walk into a group, fight until you win, repeat until level 50. :P

I like my Battle Axe/SR brute, too, especially after getting the awesome Rikti Axe. It walks into a group and kills them all with a gigantic piece of glowing metal that loosely resembles a weapon, often without taking so much as a scratch. It took me a while to get it properly invincible, though, since I had to wait until level 32-ish to get both Weave and enough IO sets to softcap my defenses.

Super Strength/Willpower is the Jungian Brute Archetype, I'd say. Massive damage, good protection, and almost never slowing down to recover or heal.

EM/Dark (Once matured)
Great single target damage, stuns galore. One heal that can take you from 1 hp to full, one heal that can take you from 0 hp to full. Note: I play with 10 toggles running. Recover helps, as this is a juicy combo.

Fire/Fire
BBUUUURRRN! The Bu/Fiery embrace combo gives nice burst damage, fiery embrace gives bonus damage to fire melee.

War mace/Willpower.
A good 'natural' combo, this ones fun as you can play the 'angry person running around hitting people with a shovel/club/wrench/hammer/stick' role.

Something where you don't need to do much with your secondry, or your secondry is attacks. that way you can focus on smashing face rather than keeping yourself alive =D

Brutes make fun Tanks!

Take the first 2 attack powers from your primary, and every power from the secondary that helps you survive as soon as they become available. Damage aura secondaries are not as tough in general. Pick a big hit attack and any AoE that appeals to you later on. Build for defense and let Fury build rapidly as you do the old 1 - 2, then when you've gathered a nice group around you and Fury is high drop your bombs, wash rinse repeat. Grab Taunt when you can, find a team and have a blast!

FA/WP is the route I went with this. Very Tankish toon, those tiny attacks hit with surprising power, they are quick and take little endo. My plan is taking scorch (just look at that DPS) and the 3 sword attacks then focus on getting WP close to or reach the defense softcap.

Not the most efficient setup...but you asked about fun. To me this is the most fun a Tank could ever be.

Also,

Super Strength/Electric Armor fears no Rikti, is a one-man-army against Rikti, Arachnos and Freakshow. Play him like the specialist he is and you'll wonder "Is this cheating?"

So many brutes so little time ! Claws/SR-- -SS/fire--- elc mele /shield
all are fun an will make u never play any other toon ever again.

DM/SR and Elec/WP are pretty fun. One is a single target damage specialist, the other is an AoE monster (especially after getting to the Epic pools, go Mu Mastery on this one)

i find the primary/secondary brute especially fun

elec/sd or ss/sd

Thunderstrike, Lightning Rod, Shield Charge = leakage

Once they fix the SS animations with shields, KO Blow, Haymaker, Ground punch and Hurl = oh my goodness!

Those are my 2 favorite brutes and I have a lot of 'em.

Elec/ELA or DM/ELA are fun too. Quick and slick but lately I've been pulling out the shield brutes first.

I Shamelessly rolled a Axe Brute, just for that Ritki Axe.

I feel sooooooo guilty!

How many of what kind of Ritki, or Lost do i have to kill for it?
