How to use a controller in PvP?

What kind of controller would probably help. And Ill/emp is going to be played much different than a Grav/TA which will be much different than a Ice/Cold which will be much different than a Grav/Kin etc etc etc.
I am going with Ice/Cold for my controller.
not to much to figure out - an ice cold, your a pain n the butt...you floor recharge slow the crap out of foes, destealth stalker while havnig good stealth and res your self. Almost every attack and debuff you have will be a -recharge -for team arena most likely you will be on the other teams buffers - and that will make you a perma target so get good at evading.
short story - see messiah mage....he r uber ice cold.

Yeah I hit 16 and just tried some dueling with guildies and the dmg per endurance isn't very efficient. Slowing the crap out of people and keeping them from flying was funny but it took wayyyy too long to actually kill anyone.
it was good back when containment worked and rad was viable
Sadly, troller doesn't deal much dmg so your only fighting route would be disable your target and "slowly" kill them.
I would slot troller's attacks with procs (since those are unresistable and trollers actually have high spectre of which dmg procs they can slot). In generall i also try to get high rech time on colds; since you don't have heal you need HL to slow enemies and benumb to kill their dmg otherelse you won't live long :/ But it is personal opinion.
Last note: you won't see much from ice cold troller till high level. Like for most troller it is where they start to "bloom".
I saw an ice/rad/earth troller take on all comers in RV not to long ago and win.
Nothing they did was slow damage.
Dont remember the toons name but it was beastly.

i dueled him no hd no ts at least twice post respec on my fire/elec (and i only fought dr on, hd off post respec :-\).
before that, we did not have the no dr button and no hd off option... i do remember fighting him DR on/TS off and i dont blame him for that: capped resists in a 1v1 are retarded when you have a self heal...
Yeah, this was back in i13. I dueled him one time on my Rad/Cold and he wouldn't do it unless it was set to zone rules, basically.

Ok first of all you need to get as close to max HP as you can with a pvp build. You also need way more KB protection than that. I would recommend an absolute bare minimum of +31 pts. Even that low still leaves several powers that can kb you. It is enough to suffice for the most part though. As long as you keep moving /ngy blasters hopefully won't be knocking you back and force bolt bubblers are not something you see swarming the zones typically.
PVP recipes are expensive and ridiculously over rated. You can use LOTG's, karma's, numina's, Devestations etc to have a much better and cheaper build. On almost any toon you can get good HP, KB protection and recharge for around 2 to 2.5 billion, depending on how smart you shop.
Yeah I don't really know what enhancements to put together. When I stopped playing a while ago is when the IO's were first comming out so I never really understood them.
I have been searching the PvP forums for any kind of controller info and it's been very difficult. It looks like PvP is primarily geared for whoever has the highest burst damage and with a controller you don't quite get the same kind of dmg available to the other classes. So as the title says... how do you use a controller in PvP? I really want to try one and it would be helpful to get info on how to use it in each kind of PvP situation (zone, arena, team, and tactics vs each class). If there are any kinds of guides out there explaining this please give me a link or something.
