Lousy Day gets my vote. That piece is just beautiful.
Honourable mention for Battlewraith's work though.
I also really like the stylish, simplicity of Pyronympho's effort.
And if Happy Dan's Ms Liberty is a 'hurried sketch' I can't wait to see his entrance for next month when he does put some effort in it.

Ordinarlily, I like more detailed and realistic art, like Happy Dan's piece. Lousy_day's piece is stunning, but does not spreak to the theme for me.
Surprisingly, PyroNympho's piece really, really appeals to me. It could be a promotional poster for the event. Well done.
Lousy_Day gets my vote. The piece is just stunningly beautiful.
I'm going to put in a vote for Lousy Day as well, it really is "hauntingly" pretty.

I was going to vote for lousy simply because of the sheer force of effort and talent applied. But since lousy doesn't really need it, I'll vote for happy_dan instead.
I was tempted to with hold my vote cause there's several very good pieces and i just couldn't decide.

It would probably be improper for me to vote, but I'll post anyways to get this in the community digest. Talents like you folks have should be seen by all.
Shia's humor, Lousy Day's beautiful piece, the expression on Ms. Liberty's face in Happy Dan's entry are all especially good, but I'm secretly pulling for Implicit Bookcarrier. Caemgen's chick with lighter gets my nod as well.
