January 2010 FArt Competition - VOTE!!

Here we go, its time to cast your vote for your favorite entry in the January FArt battle!

This month's theme was The Olympics. A full description can be found HERE

You're voting for the entry, not the artist. Keep in mind how they interpreted the theme and if you feel they effectively presented that interpretation.

I have already determined that all entries put in for voting qualify under the rules. If you really feel that one does not, PM ME ABOUT IT. That discussion does not belong in this thread.

There will not be an elimination with this voting. The winner will gain immunity from next month's elimination, provided they submit a qualifying entry.

Lousy Day gets my vote. That piece is just...beautiful. I still don't have words to describe it. Captured the theme and so much more.

Lots of other excellent entries as well. Looking forward to the rest of the competition.

I would have liked to have seen some visual clue (besides what I'm told is a Vancouver cityscape) that this was connected to the Olympics, but then again, being a guy, as far as I'm concerned there is no figure skating outside of the Olympics Besides, several other pieces also didn't visually specify the Olympics either...

All the "big name" artists from the forum really brought the heat this month and it wasn't an easy choice... I had 5 entries all pretty much neck and neck.. But the deciding factor for me was that Lousy_Day's piece wasn't just art- It was a epic art. You feel the loneliness in the piece even if you don't know who the character is. You see the beauty of the dance even if you're not a fan of figure skating.

I vote Lousy_Day of course.

I love Clutch's skating Freakshow, but the poignancy of Ghost Widow's ice dance just nicks it for Lousy Day

I'm torn between several of them - there are a lot of great entries this round. I think I'll go with Battlewraith this time, but I wish I could vote several times...

The ice skating pictures are gorgeous, and they're definitely the ones I'd like to have on my wall. And there's a lot of great humour among these pictures.

But I think I'll vote for my favorite of the Summer Olympic events and pick Frost. Uh, yeah, the one with the ice patch...

Frost gets my vote

this is a tough choice (in a very enjoyable sense) as they are all great entries, each bringing something unique to the theme! I'll say it again: Great Job everyone!

After a lot of thought, I'm casting my vote for Olympic thug skating By Battlewraith (FrozenDeath). Well rendered, captures Olympic theme well, captures COX theme well, shows humor yet also a deeper meaning, its th complete package.

This was a rough one...and I was torn between three pieces...

But in the end, the sadness and poignancy of Lousy Day's piece won me over.

Without additional comment, Battlewraith.

While Lousy Day's piece is a beautiful pice of art, I will vote for Clutch.

It was a tough decision to make, but I like the freakshow piece.

My vote goes to Battlewraith (FrozenDeath) I think it just catches the spirit of the whole contest.

This was a difficult one as there are several that I really like, but Lousy_Day's piece is stunning.

My vote this round is for Lousy_Day.

I'm torn, there's a lot of great entries here. My wife and I share an account and TA counted her vote separately last year, but whatever you decide is fine.

Both of our favorites are Lousy Day's beautiful piece, but it looks like they don't need any help, and I'd rather spread the love, so:

My vote's for Scooter Two

It's a great piece by itself, it was the first piece, and it shows a lot of improvement from what I've seen from him before.

Her vote's for Bubbawheat

What can I say, she's my wife. I'll have to make her vote for someone else in the later months, but this one doesn't really matter as much.

Lousy Day gets my vote.

Wow this is a tough choice and it boiled down for me between Juggy, BW and Lousy Day.

Though i got to give it to LD. He really made a beautiful piece depicting GW ice skating. Great job bro!
