So, I was searching through this myself and got to thinking ... some of the original posts date back to August. So maybe it's time to update this thread Hopefully the Red Names make this one a sticky too

I copied everything template wise from the last one. Here goes!

Currently Recruiting: Accepting new members of any level

RP Level: Moderate to heavy RP (IC chat unless specified by the usual conventions). Scheduled weekly RP events. Storytelling and RP by post is encouraged.

PvP Level: Individual basis; we understand some people enjoy PvP, and some people do not.

Theme/Concept: Hyperion Force is a group of heroes who have banded together in the tradition of the Freedom Phalanx and the Vindicators; the group has a number of continuing RP storylines in progress.

Activity: Currently about 15 players, active at various times during the US continental time zones (Eastern thru Pacific), during the evening hours. RP storyline nights are on Sunday at 8PM Eastern/5PM Pacific, Thursday at 8:30PM Eastern, 5:30PM Pacific.

Requirements for Membership: No minimum/maximum level; application on the guild web site (we're not tough, though); please let us know if you are inactive for a period of longer than two weeks. Keep in mind the RP nature of the group!

Other Details: Base is fully developed with teleporters available to all locations in Paragon City (including a Pillar of Ice and Flame for Flashback missioning). The SG's heroes are very much in the vein of the Avengers or the X-Men, so if you could not see your character among such heroes, you may decide we are not the right fit for you.

Currently Recruiting: Brand new Hero-side SG. We have a villain counter-part that we pvp against frequently. Lets say that they're our 'nemesis' but still friendly. In PVP it's good vs evil. Treat them like the enemy. You may join the villain side as well as the hero side if you want.

RP Level: RP-friendly. We don't require RP but if that's what you enjoy we welcome it. The SG is OOC.

PvP Level: Casual,arena, zone

Theme/Concept: Romans. PG is all about Romans and the Praetorian Guards who protected the Emperor (I am not the Emperor). We have a long storyline for the villain side and are working on one for the Hero side.

Activity: Few members. EST/CST.

Requirements for Membership: All levels welcome! We have a ventrilo server that we welcome you to join but is not neccessary. Stay in SG Mode as much as possible to gain Prestige for the Base. Base is still under construction because we have such few members. Login often and stay active. 5 Alts are allowed in the SG at least until our numbers grow too high that some will have to be removed. P

PvP Level: Almost zero - we only PVP for story purposes.

Theme/Concept: You've heard it all before - we're your standard teen group. We're self-managed, and have a laid back attitude.

Activity: We currently only have a small number of active members, but activity is semi-daily, and can be somewhat sporadic. Weekends are the best for more intensive RP/events.

Requirements for Membership: Your character must be a teen. (Though this rule is stretched a bit - we accept up into the 20s.)

Currently Recruiting: Yes! Always recruiting!

RP Level: Moderate-Heavy

PvP Level: Casual, though being a SG inclined towards internal RP conflict, PvP is one possible way of resolving RP outcomes. This is, however, dependent on involved parties to agree that it be resolved with PvP. We use the honor system here, and members work closely with each other OOC to work out a way of resolution that doesn't ruffle any feathers. For the most part, our members are great about this.

Theme/Concept: Old World of Darkness, early Vampire: The Masquerade setting. The SG is designed in a way that allows all sects/clans a place in it. We are not a Cammarilla only, Anarch only, or Sabbat only, or clan X only, all clans and sect affiliations are welcome. Due to this, internal conflict and tension is a large part of the SG's RP. Also due to this, it is a mature themed SG and as such I would ask members be at least 18 years old.

Activity: We have many active members online on a nightly/daily basis, some active at night-early day, and others active from day-evening times.

Requirements for Membership: All we ask is that you have a desire to learn about the Old World of Darkness setting, or are already familiar with it. That being said, we ask that your characters powerset somehow be justified by the the clan you play. Other than that, just about anything goes. It's more loosely based, and as such were not going to ask anyone to whip out character sheets and whatnot all the time, it just isn't practical in the CoX game world.

Leadership: The red-star is held by me. OOC SG ranks have do not neccesarily have any effect on your IC status/position of power.

Currently Recruiting: Well sure, in theory, but considering we are really small, really poor and really new it may be easier said than done.

RP Level: We are all roleplayers but were not strict about it or anything.

Theme/Concept: Rubicon Ultra-human Research (RUR) is a private company which offers its customers a wide range of "ultra-human power realisation treatments" or as their rather more snappy slogan puts it, "You can be a superhero too!". Currently Recruiting: Anyone who has a passion for Paragon City!

RP Level: Zero to Casual. Most Hero Dawn members don't RP, but that has never stopped us with teaming and working with people who like to RP.

PvP Level: Little to Casual. We have members who can be found in PvP zones often, and are preparing to assemble a tight raid team when the feature is fixed and released for CoH.

Theme/Concept: We have no real 'concept' except we are just a group of friendly, dedicated casual players who like to get the most out of the game by playing with other people of the same caliber!

Activity: Having around 141 members in the group we almost always have people in the SG doing things, and never mind to have people come along. Though, most of the things we do are spontaneous we are always doing some form of Task Forces, SG member's Mission Architect Arcs, Rikti/Hamidon raid teams, etc. You can always find something to do between our SG and coalition friends. In addition, about every two months Hero Dawn strives to put on some of the very best player events/parties around.

Requirements for Membership: We have no requirements to join, we just ask for you to stay active in our SG and have fun!

Currently Recruiting: We are recruiting!

RP Level: We're heavy RP-only group with a ridiculously detailed history. We are always IC unless ((talking like this)).

PvP Level: Not really our thang, but we're not against it in anyway.

Theme/Concept: Heroes of all archetypes, origins and powersets are welcomed. The team consists of scientists, mages, mutants and the elite - all with one thing in common - the desire to make the world a safer place. Also includes an Outreach project which sees the group volunteering at charities and good causes across Paragon.

We're a heroic-themed SG. We ask that characters in the group act within the law and don't carry out illegal activities, or take life unless there is no other option.

Activity: Although we're not the biggest group in the world, we are still growing and are actively recruiting. We hold regular meet-ups during the week - Monday nights is at 8pm GMT, for or EU based members and Thursday nights is held at 8pm EST for our American members and insomniac Europeans. We also have active forums and semi-regular events.

We have an active OOC channel, so even if people aren't on their SDI character, it's rare that you'll be devoid of company. We are also coalitioned with the Templars of the Abbey and we also have /very/ active forums, making us well-suited to anyone who likes to write stories as well as RP.

Other Details: We have been going since 2006, and have a very functional base with teleporters all over the place, medical transporter, workbench and other utilities, as well as some good RP spaces in the base.

Name: Paragonian Protectorate

Currently Recruiting: We are brand new, looking for members and experienced volunteers to help get the group off the ground. We are also looking for both RP and non-RP coalitions.

RP Level: RP-optional. We have a background, and I'm in the process of creating an AE arc with our origin in it. SG chat is OOC, and all teams are OOC unless otherwise noted. Once we get a decent number of members, I will begin scheduling RP team nights.

PvP Level: Friendly to PvP, will probably get more involved when we have a larger number of members. Base raids are of particular interest, if they ever get those working properly.

Theme/Concept: The Paragonian Protectorate is a pocket dimension (located in a magically protected area of the Shadow Shard) that was created by a group of scientists and mystics after the first Rikti War. The reason for its creation was to provide citizens a place where they could be safe from any future Rikti attacks. Once the mystics, scientists, and heroes who created the Protectorate had gathered up a few thousand civilians from around the globe, they ran out of housing in their new dimension, so they retreated to it and sealed it off. Only recently did they begin to feel a need to use their abilities to help fight against the Rikti and other threats to Paragon City.

Activity: We were just founded, so we have only a small number of members. Activity will be enforced, so expect a high level of activity once we get more members in the group.

Requirements for Membership: Members will be expected to log in at least once a week. They will also be expected to use one costume slot for an SG costume and to play in SG mode as much as possible. Once the forums are up and running, members will be expected to make a meaningful post at least once a week (not just hey what's going on, actually say something useful).

Legacy of Valor is a Heavy RP SG on the Virtue server that’s been in existence for almost a year.

We’re currently looking for new members (obviously or I wouldn’t be posting here, lol).

The SG is modern era comics themed, and currently has about 15 unique players. We had 40 at our peak, but we’ve trimmed the alt junkies who would never log on to their toons and the people that wouldn’t follow the few rules we have.

What we’re looking for:

Roleplayers. We’re NOT Nazis about RP rules, but that is our focus and we want people who will get involved with the stories we create

Active players. You don’t have to live on the SG, but we don’t want people that are going to log on for 5 minutes once every two weeks. If you can strike a happy medium somewhere between those extremes, it’s all good.

Heroic Character Concepts. You don’t have to be Captain Whitebread, but we want characters that are genuinely heroic and interested in helping others. No kill crazed vigilantes or soul eating demons that belong red side. Personal experience is there are less personality clashes that way.


What we’ve got to offer as a SG:

Great RP story plots.

Weekly RP scheduled events & frequent SG based mission teams, etc...

A more casual atmosphere rules-wise than most RPSGs. We have few rules and treat our players like adults. No godmoding your character concept, your origin or costumes like some of the old guard RPSGs. The whole point of a game is to have fun after all. The few rules we do have are firmly enforced however. They largely come down to treating each other with respect and keeping up with events at our guildportal site.

A fully developed GuildPortal site (premium membership)

A VERY nicely developed base. It has about 13 million prestige poured into it now. Rooms include:

Teleporters to all 22 zones, The Pocket D and a Raid Teleporter we RP as a long distance TP
An arborium complete with a pond (with koi RP’ed in the pond )
A moderate size magic sanctum & study
A ready room with a large kitchen and counter style seating, and a TV lounge
A training center with a firing range, heavy combat room, locker rooms/showers, sauna, dojo and meditation chambers.
A large swimming pool room with a bbq, bar, and DJ booth (with video monitors above it)
Living quarters. There are some minimal requirements, but we have 22 rooms available for characters who don’t IC’ly live in the city. Each apartment is 2 squares on the map and customized to the character’s wishes (within reason). Yes, I take care of loyal team mates.
A Library, which also has our leaders’ two offices to one end of it
The standard control and power rooms. Our control center is nicely done and the power room doubles as a hangar for our Longbow Chasers
A RP-Centered Medical Bay. It has 4 non-critical care beds, a bio-sciences lab, and a surgical center.

We have a small coalition that we’re looking to expand.

All of our remaining members are good RPers and fairly capable on teams.

We also have a fun, “family” feel to our SG. Drama has been eliminated from this SG, except for IC’ly

Rexifaldon's note: Tyronos, forgive me. I know you told me not to use this method, but I remain convinced that the humans may yet aid us. I have read the signs in the stone: their interest for technology and its use in the trade of information can be a great asset in locating our lost bretheren. Currently Recruiting: We are always looking for new members, new coalitions, etc.

RP Level: I hate the word "require." We RP because we choose to. However, we consider ourselves an RPSG. Most (99%) of our chat is IC, though we also engage in OOC conversation - always properly marked to avoid confusion. We occasionally host RP training and any of us are willing to help non-RPers learn the ropes.

PvP Level: I guess you could call us PvP-friendly. I'm sure there are those in our group who wouldn't mind sparring with you.

Theme/Concept: We prefer "classic" heroes, but turn no one away who is willing to take the RP at least semi-seriously. What I mean is, no "goofy" characters or characters whose only intention is to grief RPers.

Activity: We are extremely active. We have a core group of around 6-10 who play a LOT, mostly in the evenings through late night (from around 9pm until 3am eastern).

Requirements for Membership: We have a 30-day inactivity rule, but characters are always welcome back. We are forming an "academy" for alts. At this point, however, we ask that your main character to be at least level 40 before bringing in an alt (exceptions are made for those who show they can handle multiple characters). We have a uniform requirement at level 30, but it mainly consists of using the SG colors during SG events.

Other Details: All recruitment is done IC as much as possible. New recruits will undergo an interview to receive their first promotion. We hold weekly meetings every Wednesday night at 9pm eastern, but attendance is not mandatory. We have a fully-functional base that is always growing. Please play in SG mode to help pay for base modifications.
