I am not perfect and everybody knows - REAL LIFE comes first. As such, my postings to the Hero Dawn blog were interrupted for a few months, but I am trying to get back on track.
I will do what I can to get the last few months posted and in place. (I like to post larger pictures than we post here)... and if I can get the boys to send me descriptions of what took place during those contests, I will include that for your reading pleasure, too!
I posted the pictures of the winners on the blog last night - so if you want to go take a peek before Goat posts them here, this is the link:

Hi DJ Shecky!
Yeah, I was on the game when this person was in Atlas Park stating that The Cape Radio had a virus. I knew it wasn't true when I immediately went over to the website and found nothing wrong.
Glad to see the GM was notified.
I will see ya Saturday! -

Hey Folks!

Good luck! -
Hey Folks!
I have been tapping on the calculator and raiding Goat's pockets and I finally have all the prize money to make this heist go off with a favorable BANG!
But first... I wanted to give a little more instructions on what we're looking for as far as the costume contests. So let's discuss this issue first:
[ PRISONER LINEUP - CC ]
Quote:[ LAW ENFORCEMENT LINEUP - CC ]Early in the evening we will be asking contestants to lineup at some foreign corner of the ZIG rooftop to show us their prisoner attire. Any attire that would potentially ID you as a prisoner such as black and white stripes, orange jump suit, tattoos, vests and jeans, etc. is acceptable. We will ALSO accept apparel that portrays what you would wear if you just got out on parole.
This lineup will pay out eight (8) spots = $475,000,000
Quote:Midway through the evening we will be asking contestants to lineup at some foreign corner of the ZIG rooftop to show us their law enforcement attire. Any attire that would potentially ID you as an idol of authority such as FBI, CIA, customs and border patrol agents, IRS agents, investigators, police, security guards, judges, and park rangers is acceptable apparel.
This lineup will pay out eight (8) spots = $475,000,000
Quote:Towards the end of the evening we will be asking contestants to lineup at some foreign corner of the ZIG rooftop to show us their regular attire, but this isn't any normal dress up! I want you to don the outfit you would wear if you were being invited to a National HERO Convention! So put on your polished Sunday Best -- Hero Outfit and get in line!
This lineup will pay out eight (8) spots = $475,000,000
However, YOU WILL WANT to pay attention to these announcements because they will reveal how you can become the lucky winner of ONE BILLION INF at the end of the evening!
REMEMBER:
If you are chosen as a costume winner, I WILL NEED your photograph so I am able to make an official "winners post" on the Hero Dawn blog.
When it comes time for you and I to meet for the photo shoot, we will excuse ourselves from the gathering to a quiet corner of the ZIG so I get YOUR glorious picture - and not the entire crew clogging up the shot. -
The write up for the Kings Row costume and trivia contest has been posted. If you're interested in the read, go here:

Includes pictures of costume winners AND the purple recipe/enhancement winners.
Congratulations to all and thanks for attending! -
Hero Dawn wants to make this event super SPECIAL to help welcome Radio Paragon in to City of Heroes. As such, I'm having a hard time deciding on the final prize for the 30 Songs in 30 Seconds event. - Be there... or be square! -
I am looking forward to this event and I know the Hero Dawn SG is behind me on this one when I say, DJ Zod rocks!
It will certainly be a fun time for all. Be there or be square!
I'll post more about the costume contests as we get closer to the date, giving you enough time to get your garb on so you can attend in style!
Talk soon... -
The Faultline Anime costume and trivia contest was a success!
A commendable occasion to help celebrate Japanese animation in style where everybody left with a jingle in their pockets.
Find my write up, complete with photos, here:
http://www.herodawn.com/anime-contest-winners/
Goat will be posting the "top three" winners for the evening in a little while and Doc Triumph will be by to post information regarding next week's costume and trivia contest.
Enjoy! -
Quote:Aww Tiem, no need to be disappointed. Here's your OX in all his glory, from my original write up, for the event.Testing testing, 1 2 3... Okay, got my forum account working.
Thanks again for the positive feedback from everyone about the costumes, though I'm a little disappointed to see my ox hidden behind my MANLY BULK like that in the image. She was a fine ox, blue as the ocean and large as a house.
If you care to read the write up for Myth Representations, you can find it here:
http://www.herodawn.com/mythology-cc-winners/
It may be two months too late, but I'll make it a point now to include the write ups in this forum if you and others care to read them.
Sometimes I have hardly anything to say, but sometimes there is a highlight of the event that truly needs to be mentioned in a post.
Enjoy! -
I finished the write up for the event.
I never posted them here before, but I think it would be a nice touch if others want to read it.

Quote:Yep, and it would also be beneficial for us to remember that Rogues can also attend and need direction from the red side to get there as well.Wouldn't the easiest way to get there be to enter the Vanguard base from Atlas or Founders and then turn around and exit to PI?

Original scale is 1680x1050 and can be downloaded from my DeviantART gallery.
