How much do you make per week?
My Marketing has slacked off considerably since I got involved with the MLC project having 3 toons in the program. Right now I am hording Merits to unload once I hit my specific level.
Having said that I think I am earning approximately 400-500million per week without a bunch of effort
Each character can have about 40 billion (with the 5 +1 slot badges) saved in the consignment house. Is anyone in game even close to that at present?

I don't think there are MANY people above that, because there's only a certain amount of PVP IO's generated per week (for instance.) I don't know what that number is, though, because there are all sorts of subgroups in this game. Many of them don't frequent the forums. I've peripherally run into a couple of groups of people I never knew existed, because they asked me to shift three, four, five billion from red to blueside or the other way around.

So you think you're a hero, huh.
@Boltcutter in game.
Wow, I guess I'm not doing enough marketeering. I don't get a lot of playtime (10-15 hrs a week), and prefer to play (rather than market) most of the time. I usually do some marketeering the first and last 15 min I'm logged in. Taking out the two big drops I got (that sold for over 200 mil collectively), I'd say I average about 30-40mil/week.
People have put together screenshots of them with 26 billion or so on a single character. So I'd say there are undoubtedly people with 40 billion.

I know guys in my SG who aren't even close to being big-ballers (who think *I* for all intents & purposes have infinite wealth, and I know I'm hardly a top dog) who are making 50M+ a transaction on some niches. These are relatively casual players who've prolly never even seen this board, but just through conversations w/me, and just looking at the market in general, are raking in prolly around 500M/mo, again doing very, very casual marketeering.
BTW, if you're talking about a single toon w/40B, that seriously would take a long time to set up. My 16B screencap (see sig) took me like 2hrs (including time to then redistribute back the inf) w/a very understanding SG-mate helping out. That's only 7 slots, so to fill up 20 slots (+your own cap, so 42B really) might take almost 6hrs. Of course, I was being *very* careful w/all transactions so as not to lose any inf--you should be able to cut that in half. Having said that, someone seriously needs to do this.

I have three market-only toons currently. One is primarily a crafter but will jump on flipping when needed. One is a flipper but will craft when a good opportunity arises. And one is special projects.
I think the crafter makes around 300m a week. The flipper, uh, much less, probably 150m, I can't tell. In the last week, special projects toon has spent about 400m. She is totally ineligibile to hit the 1b tophat goal as she mostly spends other people's money, though she usually carries around 500m on her.
Since I started marketing, I am just setting out my toons. Though I intend to make the flipper a billionaire by...oh, maybe middle of February.
I have a feeling that I'm not the best at marketing, but I find it fun and a challenge.
Re: Flipping is evil on the game economy and puts down the little man. Hell, the little man can bid 7k on something sellign for 30k and wait an hour just like I do.
I need to get brave enough to flip Tier 3 salvage...or just find a niche. And every time I go for the get-rich-quick purple recipe crafting, I ge burned. Usually for only around 30m...but it's money I could have used making more while it just sat there a week before I marked it down.
40 bill don't sound like alot, really. At current prices.
If i only played 1 toon, and had all the IO's that i have on my alts, i'd easily have 40 bil at current prices. I have several toons purp'd out on my account, many more fully IO'd with stuff like Oblits, Procs, Numinas, Kin Coms, ect. My wifes account has a couple purp'd toons and a few more fully IO'd as well.
If i were to take all that, put it on 1 toon, i'm sure i'd have aloooooot of inf. But i like to fully IO each toon across 2 accounts. The 3rd account, i haven't started on yet. lol.
And thats without leaving toons at WW to flip or whatever. Just from selling my drops.
I don't farm, and lately I've only been playing low level characters, so pretty much everything I've made has been on the market. I've tried to get a decent nest egg for each new character, but that's all I've bothered with. I probably haven't made more than 10 million in a week for quite a while.

Well, I'm not sure what the big leagues are. But let's conservatively say you can make five billion per week (the true figure is likely somewhat higher). If you've been doing that for a year, you'd have about two hundred and fifty billion. So if nobody has 40 billion stashed away, I'd be shocked.

Nowadays? Not much. I usually make enough to have a +-0 flow of influence. If I don't have any IO projects underway I don't have any need for excess inf so I don't even bother gaining any outside normal playing. If, however, I'm planning to IO out a new alt soon I will put some minimal effort into marketing (5-10mins every other day) and get 100-250mil a week.

What is the influence cap?
I have only have a couple hundred million on my characters, never really thought about there being a cap. (except playing trial with 50K cap)
The cap for non-trial accounts is 2bn.
There are tricks for storing more influence than that (by placing bids on items in the market UI that don't exist in the game, e.g. level 53 IO recipes), but I consider them too risky to use.

Thanks, guys. I'd seen the number before, but wasn't sure that's what it was.

I think I vastly overestimated how much I make a week. Or maybe I tend to price stuff high, knowing that I'm only going to check back in a week or so, so that when I check back in 2 or 3 days only, I have a lot of stuff still for sale.
I think I collected over a billion last Saturday when I checked on all of my toons, but I doubt I'm going to make anything like that much this week.
On the positive side, on Saturday I moved an old level 27 scrapper from Pinnacle to Justice (seeing as Justice is the 3rd largest server and I don't play on Pinnacle anymore, I thought it'd be nice to have a mid to high level toon on Justice). This was a VERY old character, last played probably before I-5, so I had 162,000 influence to my name (and no one on Justice to borrow money from). But by Tuesday night I'd broken 100 million. ^_^
DM/Invul, so I worked up a build that softcaps smashing/lethal, and now I need to raise somewhere between 600 million and a billion to make it happen.
(Yeah, I could do a market transfer but it's fun to try to work up the money from scratch.)

I don't want this to turn into a pissing contest but I'm just curious how much everyone makes per week on average. I want to know if I'm making a decent enough amount per week compared to my peers.

Every so often, my banker character will go through and sell the stuff that hasn't been equipped and isn't likely to be equipped by any up and coming character. That stuff gets sold by a banker character. The banker character also gets played fairly frequently, and has some independent earnings. That one is the only character that sells rolled recipes directly rather than crafted enhancements: most recipes can be crafted as obtained from stuff in the base, and she keeps it well stocked. This one is also my crafting badger and my chief Architect playing character, so whenever a recipe falls that needs salvage not in stock, she gets it. She also regularly stocks up generic IOs which are equipped by my levelling characters. Played characters also contribute their salvage drops to the supply. Obviously, all of this is done through a supergroup.
Mindful of what happened to Gregor Samsa, I do not engage in "flipping" or any other sort of speculation. I will buy what I want, and sell what I don't want.
She sells nearly all the purples that drop for me. Very few of my characters have any of them slotted; the ones that do slot procs, or occasionally things that dropped for that character and could be slotted without breaking up more valuable sets. Purple set bonuses, while nice, all represent things that could be slotted other ways.
Since almost all the cash dealings go through a single character, I'd estimate her average gain somewhere around 25 millions a week.

Ironically, over-reliance on one character as a single source of income is a very "Gregor Samsa" thing to do.
My baseline activity is probably 100 million inf /week. Pretty much split across whomever logged on that week.
If I am seriously planning a build that ramps up.
