I should clarify, i spent about an hour getting everything from my old characters and putting them on the market/seeing what friends wanted. the last one just sold the other day.

Whats really amazing is that someone could clear 2 billion in 7 days selling recipes that don't even trade 4 a day and only a few million a pop at a time.
After keeping track for a week, I guess I made 1 billion 945 million since last Thursday. I'm not sure if that's really my average, that included some profit from an Apocalypse and a Hectacomb that dropped while on farm teams.

Today is 7 days since my -1.1B that left me with 14m in pocket. Now I'm currently at 974m, so 960m/week. This is one toon only, but also a couple of drops.
Oh, and I've really put plenty effort into it, so I'm not one of the "I market 2 minutes a month and make 10B each time I fart" market masters.

I used to actually monitor the markets on a daily basis, changing bids, and relisting; with about 3 blueside and 3 redside designated marketeers. I was probably clearing 500 mil a week each side.
Now I have gotten into buying and crafting items checking back once or twice a week. The same 3 (each side) make around 30% less, but with much less time investment.

I don't buy into this idea that if I list all 10 at the same time I'm going to flood the market and drive prices down. I list them for what I expect they will sell for in the coming week. Sometimes that works, sometimes I'm a bit off and they sit there for an extra week or two. But they always sell eventually. ^_^ Nobody's going to undersell you for all eternity, unless you really are asking too much (which I've done a few times, alas.)
But I will pick one night a week to log in all of my marketers, usually at the end of the week, and when I do that it can take me about 2 hours to go through them all. That's most of my time investment.

i make my monies by PLing myself using a combination of regular farms and AE. then i use a mix of recipe rolls and then i craft things and sell them. i think for the last month i've been averaging about 500 mil a week but its hard to say.

I don't think there are MANY people above that, because there's only a certain amount of PVP IO's generated per week (for instance.) I don't know what that number is, though, because there are all sorts of subgroups in this game. Many of them don't frequent the forums. I've peripherally run into a couple of groups of people I never knew existed, because they asked me to shift three, four, five billion from red to blueside or the other way around. |
Most of my characters make 30-60 million a week each. I spend it pretty quick and frivolously too.
i made about 700 mil in about an hour going through old toons and stripping them of HOs. does that count?
