  1. Weird request. Can I get a long forum export, to try and copy the build by sight? I have a mac with internet and a PC without. I have always wondered what your build looked like.

    Incarnate Tank

    1. Combustion is by far one of my least favorite AOEs as well. It is the main reason I went fire over SS though. A bad aoe is still much more effective than no AOE. It does do a great job grabbing aggro over a large area fast.

    2. I like the suggestion of getting more END recovery into maneuvers. If I do decide later I need a travel power, I might switch out PP for SJ or SS, which means I will definitely have a need for more recovery. That is a switch I will play by ear.

    I switched over to two pure recharges in AD. I find that sprint+combat jumping+jump pack is plenty, unless something has changed in upper level content. Also there are so many ways to TP close to where I need to be, plus I can't see one power I would be willing to give up.

    Recently just came back into the game after about a two year break to try my hand at some incarnate content. I wanted to make a teaming tank that could also solo. Here was the goal for my SD/Fire

    Goals-
    1. 59% defense to m r a
    2. As high of resist as I could get
    3. Perma-Hasten
    4. A heal or enough +regen
    5. High DDR
    6. Good AOE
    7. Decent single target attack chain
    8. Endurance completely under control.
    9. Accuracy against +4s

    Build
    1. Yes
    2. Decent I am worried about the tank ATO proc placement, don't know how well it will work there.
    3. Close enough, I'll throw some +5 modifiers on the recharges in hasten
    4. Decent regen with the ability to top off with Rebirth should be enough.
    5. Is AD still enhance able with HOs? I have read no but it will let me in mids. Best case with double stacked AD I am capped. Worst case I will have ~86% DDR.
    6. Combustion, FSC and Shield charge should be plenty.
    7. I'll run GFS, Incinerate, Scorch, with Incarnate pets as well I should be able to take down most AVs solo.
    8. 2.63 with perf shift proc and conserve power should be plenty.
    9. Yup, and the +tohit in build up should bail me out if I ever get heavily debuffed.

    Questions for the Tanker forum.

    Is there something I'm missing, a glaring hole that will eat me up in higher end content? Is there a build better suited for higher end content? Can you build it better?

  7. I wouldnt. You wont see much return for one purple. Sell it and upgrade your whole build.

    Claws/Dark Build

    So I have about 3 really high end melee toons. Fire/SD scrapper, ss/elec brute, dm/shield brute. I decided to strip out my dm/shield brute to play a couple powersets I have never played before.

    I used a list and a random number generator and ended up with a claws/dark brute. I would have gone scrapper but I really hate not having a taunt componet in my aura.

    I have already bought a low level -kb karma, miracle, numina, kismet and TOE proc. The toon is leveling extremely fast combining inspirations to make purples and how I love spin and a damage aura. My question is more for the endgame. I have a build I plan on using the cardiac (end and +resist) for. I wanted to run the followup, slash, focus, strike chain. I tried to get a endurance sustainable build with softcapped Sm/Le defense, I just can't get there on it. Any hints, critiques or help that could be offered would be great. Thank you in advance.

Example: I doubt many of you would Softcap if it meant your recharge went from 75% to 40%, but maybe you would.

    So, out of curiosity, what balances do you try to get?



    Just make sure to put the force feedback proc in footstomp, I tend to get about at 20-30% increase in overall recharge when farming.
  10. The best I have managed on my ss/elec/soul is slightly under 120. This was before the brute rebalance

    Now i either get lucky and win right before the 120, rage drop or have to wait until right after.

    I would try to get quite a bit of rech, probably will need +rech Alpha too. Run Chain Induction, CB, Jacobs ladder, CB. With Hecatomb in CB (and another proc), Armageddon and the -resist proc in JL, that chain should do some pretty decent damage.

    New build I'm probably going to respec into, (once I scrounge up another billion inf.) It has almost the same stats but should put out more single target dps, while staying within my goals.

  19. Thank you for the replies.

    In ice blast I planned on a decimation and a slow set damage proc of some sort. I updated the build a bit, got some more ranged defense. I am counting on the Alpha Slot being able to give some sort of +recharge to help me cut down a second on PA. For now against a tough target I can duck around a corner for a second.

    I kept the shields. I am wondering if snow storm would be a better choice than ST, I would think the fear will be broken up fairly quickly and snowstorm will slow them even more to keep them in the rains.

    I also switched away from hovering. I like the faster manuverabilty of CJ+Hurdle+Sprint+Swift I will get in i19. I believe the AI will also keep most baddies running very slowly towards me (to get into melee) instead of just firing from range if I am hovering.

  20. Hey folks my goal with an Ill/cold was to be able to solo almost anything , along with bringing a large amount of team support. My goal was perma-PA, softcap to sm/leth and ranged, with decent aoe and a single target attack chain. I've come close to everything I've wanted, a little short on PA and a little short on ranged defense. My attack chain will be blind, SW, IB. The -tohit on spectral terror should be enough to make up the lost defense to ranged. Let me know if you can see any improvments to make my build closer to reaching my goals.

  23. To maximize inf* income your best bet is to get a starter kitty, find something you can flip on the market, keeping getting into larger and larger income niches as budget allows. For time invested I don't think any type of farming can beat semi-intelligent marketeering.

    There are plenty of guides on this forum to look up how to get started. I haven't farmed since the difficulty slider came out, I farmed more for the challenge of taking on larger mobs than the actual rewards. I make enough off of marketeering and playing my level 50's so I can buy pretty much whatever I want in game.
  24. I have a boatload of inf sitting blueside. I already have a fire/shield, after the botz fix, numina/regen tissue fix it just doesn't feel the same anymore. After SC gets looked at I'll defiantly want another scrapper. Here is my fire/shield build for comparison.

    I love my ice/cold corruptor. I like to drop the 3 rains on rooftops full of Romans on the ITF and watch them melt.
