What to pair with Cold Domination?

I've never played Cold Domination and rarely play much defenders what so ever but thought I'd start a Cold/? defender for something new. My question for you much more knowledgeable defenders out there is what meshes well with Cold Domination?

Sonic, dark, and ice in that order. IMO.

I'd also suggest Dual Pistols, but that has been one of my GR concepts that I've been working on.

Also, anything that gives good chances for positional defense is always good as Arctic Fog only raises positional defense so you'll be able to capitalize on that.

I decided on Cold/Dark since every other defender I see is /Sonic and have a new question. In my build I have been building for +Ranged Defense and +Recharge, from what I can gather those are the two things that will help me the most with this character, is this accurate?

I love my ice/cold corruptor. I like to drop the 3 rains on rooftops full of Romans on the ITF and watch them melt.

Ditto, except for me it's for a Def. That combo with a Heat Loss chaser makes for fun times.

Global = Hedgefund (or some derivation thereof)

Depends on who you talk to. In my opinion defense (as a whole) is more important and recharge is important, but it depends on your power sets, play style, and ...well, things come in threes, so there has to be this. Some base accuracy is also probably nice, but it really depends on how well slotted you make some powers.

Here's how I would (potentially) build a Cold/Dark Defender:

For me it would depend on what my play time would normally be spent doing ...

Solo, I'd tend to build with the emphasis towards defense and mitigation in general, then recharge. I can set my own pace, therefore safety when engaging the spawns is of more interest. In other words if some power needs to recharge I always have the option to wait, decide if inspires will do the trick etc. when solo, teamed this can get problematic.
Teamed, especially larger teams, my emphasis would be heavily towards recharge. I want Sleet, Benumb and Heat Loss (and other long recharge timer powers) up asap. My defense and overall mitigation will be my teammates.

I've actually had a lot of fun with my Cold/Elec defender (will be doing a cold/sonic after).

The ST is harsh till 41 (picked up electric fence for 3rd ST attack) But its got decent aoe, aim helps make sure infridgidate hits, and as a defender slotting short circuit and thunderous blast helps to sap the mobs of their endurance and is pretty effective (power sink at 47).

As mentioned cold/sonic, but cold/dark works well also for obvious reasons.
