Incarnate Tank

Recently just came back into the game after about a two year break to try my hand at some incarnate content. I wanted to make a teaming tank that could also solo. Here was the goal for my SD/Fire

Goals-
1. 59% defense to m r a
2. As high of resist as I could get
3. Perma-Hasten
4. A heal or enough +regen
5. High DDR
6. Good AOE
7. Decent single target attack chain
8. Endurance completely under control.
9. Accuracy against +4s

Build
1. Yes
2. Decent I am worried about the tank ATO proc placement, don't know how well it will work there.
3. Close enough, I'll throw some +5 modifiers on the recharges in hasten
4. Decent regen with the ability to top off with Rebirth should be enough.
5. Is AD still enhance able with HOs? I have read no but it will let me in mids. Best case with double stacked AD I am capped. Worst case I will have ~86% DDR.
6. Combustion, FSC and Shield charge should be plenty.
7. I'll run GFS, Incinerate, Scorch, with Incarnate pets as well I should be able to take down most AVs solo.
8. 2.63 with perf shift proc and conserve power should be plenty.
9. Yup, and the +tohit in build up should bail me out if I ever get heavily debuffed.

Questions for the Tanker forum.

Is there something I'm missing, a glaring hole that will eat me up in higher end content? Is there a build better suited for higher end content? Can you build it better?

Very solid reasoning, and great build as well. I'd be surprised if anyone found a significant flaw.

As far as I've read (haven't bothered to log on my shielders myself to check), boosting DDR through HOs doesn't work anymore in AD.

I'd suggest moving that Shield Wall unique to Battle Agility, and turning LOTG def and def/end to Shield Walls boosting the same aspect, you get an extra +1.12% hp that way with the higher set bonus from SW.

Made the change you suggested. I appreciate the advice.

I switched over to two pure recharges in AD. I find that sprint+combat jumping+jump pack is plenty, unless something has changed in upper level content. Also there are so many ways to TP close to where I need to be, plus I can't see one power I would be willing to give up.

Appreciate your advice as well.

Also what are your thoughts on combustion -- I personally hate the power and it was a total let down for me haha.

Have you tinkered around with any other possible epics, though I dunno about giving up those 2 you have. Just tinkering around with it abit.

I have seen lot of SLAMs where temp powers dont work in and u will have trouble getting over the wall sometimes. Not to mention there is other places for certain badges where temp powers wont work. As for your build not bad but there is some things I would change in it. Maneuvers is a big end Hog for little back I would switch the LoTG def, for the Def/end/rech to help with that. You will still be at SC for incarnate content ( even though with all the buffage u wont really need to hit it). I am looking over your build to see if there is one slot out there where u do not need to try to get some more end red for it but I really do not see one.

1. Combustion is by far one of my least favorite AOEs as well. It is the main reason I went fire over SS though. A bad aoe is still much more effective than no AOE. It does do a great job grabbing aggro over a large area fast.

2. I like the suggestion of getting more END recovery into maneuvers. If I do decide later I need a travel power, I might switch out PP for SJ or SS, which means I will definitely have a need for more recovery. That is a switch I will play by ear.

Again thanks for all the advice.

I'd put the ATO set in Scorch.

It's a PPM formula for determining how often it fires, but it will be active more consistently in a power you use more often.
