Boss 'C' Drops

A surprising--I think--run of luck on an SS/Energy Aura Brute:

Between about 27 and 44, he's collected at least six boss-dropped TF pool recipes in regular play.
2 Rech/End Touch of Lady Gray
Positron's proc
Obliteration quad
Aegis triple
Aegis unique

The last two were in a mission where I'm fairly sure I only defeated six bosses. He has solo'd most of the levels. This still seems like abnormally high drops of this sort. Anyone else have this sort of streakiness?

I haven't have that much luck, and I was using the Snake Temple. Actually, in my latest three runs, I managed to earn a purple and 0 pool C's.

So yeah, I'm not intereseted in killing bosses right now.

I'm usually not paying attention, but I got the following Boss drops:

Numina++ on last mission of LGTF.
LotG 7.5 level50 drop from Rom on ITF.
LotG 7.5 level29 drop from Warrior boss in Sirens
couple stealth IOs, don't remember where.

That a farming map? Or just standard leveling?

Excellent work on teh guides, btw; especially dig the GUI setups. Maybe I do need to make me a painz0r.

PargonWiki indicates these recipes aren't available by means other than reward rolls. I take it to mean from this thread that information is incorrect?

The devs made Pool 'C' drops available from boss kills around i16. They have a drop rate around 1:200. This thread is correct and the wiki is outdated(needs to be updated).

I've probably recieved more than Ive noticed but I have got Posi:%(werewolf Prae Arc), LotG:7.5 (Rikti Chief Soldier LGTF), and Lockdown:Quad (Bres : Baby New Year mission) just in the last month.

last night rocked for me.
I soloed (with 3 npcs) the last mish in dark watcher's 'save the world' arc, and got a purple armageddon recipe and a guasson's chance for build up proc. Later, I soloed my Lev 21 grav/kin on the kill baby newyear mish in pocket d, and got a doctored wounds + regen proc.I love the new, unborked drops lately.
I dont know if this helps, but I wanted to brag.
BTW, do you think they call her 'Fushionette' because her body fuses with every surface of every map in the game?That girl got stuck in more places than Chinese Drywall, and was twice as rotten.

EDIT- - -After Tonality's post below,I looked up the recipe in game and found I was indeed wrong. The Proc in question was actually a "Regenerative Tissue + regen". I also deleted a later post because this Aint my thread and i dont want to clutter it up.
the gaussens build up was dropped by a boss i believe, and the other two were droped by EBs.
TY Tonality, for Keepin it real.

There isn't one. The 3 IO's you could have gotten in PvE are:

Numina: +Regen/+Recovery
Miracle: +Recovery
Regenerative Tissue: +Regen

The reason doctored wounds is nice for long-recharge attacks is that instead of a proc, you get a single-aspect recharge IO.

I only had it happen twice for since that change. Both times was LGTF and it was when Hami was killed during the TF. Numina++ both times. After realizing this change I came to the forums asking for ideas on this to try to see if I could get alot of pool Cs this way. I didnt work so well solo because we didnt have the difficulty settings we have now. I plan on doing it again once GR comes out and will post some results then.

Pulled up my dropstats logs that I haven't achieved yet.

At 925 boss defeats since Dec 1 solo, I have 6 drops.

Thats about 1:150, but the 95% confidence range is huge.

Almost all of mine have been on various ITFs (seems to be most of the non-MA content I run that requires actually killing lots of stuff as opposed to skipping over everything but objectives is the ITF), and I've come into possession of such gems as:

* Malaise proc
* Executioner's Contract proc
* Sting of the Manticore triple
* Sting of the Manticore proc
* Freebird +stealth
* Time and Space Manipulation +stealth
* Luck of the Gambler triple (I think I got this on a mission)

I **** you not, those are my only boss drops since I15.

I haven't been playing super-close attention to this. I think I've gotten a handful. What I *DID* notice was that I got the first one within a week of the change and it was a LotG +recharge. I also got a Numina unique a few weeks after that.

I've probably gotten a few that I didn't notice because they didn't strike me as noteworthy so I didn't realize they were Pool C.

Make sure you're reading Random Rare Recipe Roll which is the current article and not Taskforce Random Recipe Roll (which is what a search on Pool C will redirect to) which is marked as historical at the top of the article.

Do we have any verification that the Boss-drop version of this is weighted in the same fashion as when you roll randomly? It's never seemed that way to me. I've gotten a distribution of boss drops that seems pretty randomly spread, rather than being weighted toward the damage sets, though I will admit that the sample I'm basing that statement off of is pretty small. For example, I've done a lot of random rolls since the weighting change was put in, and haven't gotten a single Trap of the Hunter proc - but I've gotten one from a boss. And a Gaussian's R/E. Ghost Widow triple. Ghost Widow proc. Glimpse of the Abyss triple & proc. From damage sets I've only gotten procs from Posi and Obliteration and a Decimation triple, that I can think of. I question the assumption that boss drops are using weighted versions of the tables, until more data can be gathered.

That being said, I'm confident that if a redname has said the weighting is applied to boss drops, if anyone can provide a link it would be you.
