  • The Course of Superhero Romance - the video based on my now-infamous love story between Positron and Sorina.
  • Unyielding Spirit - the character video I've developed for Andrea Blake.
  • Other - what would the players want to see?

You'll note this list does not include teasers or trailers for Issue 17 or GOING ROGUE - it's kind of a given that y'all want me to make those. Just a matter of when their respective betas start.

If my fans in the community want me to take a crack at something, I'm game to hear it (I know a couple of you have asked me to do an expanded version of "History in the Making", telling more about the in-game timeline). If you guys tell me what you want, I can tell you if it's doable.

Ahh, yes - the shot of Blake that people REALLY like. Anyway...

1) Demorecorded the folks you always see slumped in front of Television in Grandville - the Longbow agents always have the best ones.
2) Greenscreened Andrea Blake via demoedit in that same pose.
3) Got the Paragon Studios logo off their website.
4) Imported the logo in Sony Vegas Movie Studio, layered Andrea on top of it, removed the greenscreen, and voila!

(It's actually a bit more complicated than that, but that's the gist of it.)

Any feedback from the Guildies yet? It will reach them, sooner or later.

Okay, I know that's likely to result in a DMCA takedown notice. But they seem like the kind of folks who'd write a very complimentary note right before issuing the DMCA takedown notice.

Actually, I have a very complimentary email telling me I have full permission to use the song, and that they're looking forward to seeing what I could do with it using CoX machinima.

Yes, I contacted The Guild Management before I made said video.

And yes it will reach them - at last count, some two dozen people have Tweeted Felicia Day and The Guild to let them know that their song has been used for an awesome video.

My best understanding of the situation (which is somewhat of an educated guess) is that while Paragon Studios can hire you (with NCSoft HR approval), only NCSoft HR can create the position you could be hired into in the first place. So yeah, their ability to hire anyone other than someone that could be slotted into one of the positions currently being advertised for Mountain View (tools, software, qa, server engineer, animator) is severely limited.

Oh man, that is such a hard decision. I think the Rikti War one would be fantastic! It would really put your skills to the test to have the gigantic battles that I envision video-graphisized. If anyone can do it though, you can!

I...would suggest using the music of Requeim for a Dream, but this far, far too overused.
The problem is finding a bit of music that confers 'Epic' while no being overused or cheesy. I know it's dooable...jut a tad tricky.
Oh, and we now have the model for Hero 1 in game, so no excuse! ^^

Actually...are the files for the Rikti Mother ship still in game...? If not, we need a MoLRSF team to go get it offa whoever has it

Had I gotten permission from a particular band, I know the song I would have used (and I could cry, it was so perfect for the Rikti War). But they declined permission, so now I'm looking for something else. *sighs* And this wouldn't be my usual 3-4 minute video - this one was close to 10 minutes in length, if not longer.

Do you mean which song did I want to use for the Rikti War video? I had originally hoped to use "The Howling" by Within Temptation (it is just too perfect), but they declined permission, even to license it for a fee. However, they said no. I plan to try again, but I doubt they'll say yes.

In the meantime, I'm searching around for other ideas for "The Dying of the Light" (either instrumental or with lyrics), and a few ideas are percolating still. And there are other bands out there who ARE willing to let me license their music - it's just a matter of what I can afford. (After all, I don't make anything for doing these - the things I do for love.)
