Midlevel Crisis stuff
The fire/rads ran, and ran well.
We ran 7 fire/rads thru Positron. We did it in 2:14 minutes, with 11 deaths.
We then went to Atlas and fought off a Ritiki invasion, with the lag, it took us about 2:14 to do, and we had 11 deaths.

All right. 7 Fire/Rads (most, if not all of them MLC'ers) completed a Positron in 2 hours 14 minutes in "kill everything in our way" mode (if we'd ghosted, it might have gone slightly faster).
Mondo merit generation and a buttload of prestige (not to mention a couple levels for pretty much everyone).

Afterwords we participated in what had to be THE most lag-tastic Rikti raid I've yet to experience on Freedom.
Ah well. Next Monday. Same FRad time. Same FRad channel.
For those of you that are playing or locking in levels under 30:
Do you find that items in the 20s sell? I'm sure globals and procs do fairly well the lower they are, but I can't imagine that other pool C's would move at all. And forget about pool A's at that level.
The stuff that I have listed on villain market in the 20s has sat there for a month, with the odd sale every week or two. The 30-something stuff sells in a couple of days or a week at worst. Is it just me?

Congratz on the Posi run... It started with 6 of us and we started the first mission then another Frad came on and so we re-started at that point while we were re-starting I got called back to work and so I had to drop out.
I look forward to running whatever next Monday.
It was a hoot! Unfortunately rolls I got from it were less than stellar . . . Look forward to the next one.

Some of it may be due to lower population. Another part of it is that some villain players just don't expect that supply will actually be available and therefore they're just conditioned to IO up only until they reach their 40s.
So the twenty something stuff moves quickly on hero-side?

I would say it moves, just not that quickly. As I worked my way through the 20's, everything I posted did sell, just took awhile.
If you get an 18 bidding, 0 for sale, yes, it sells fast. But in the 20s, there are a considerable amount of IOs, but the larger majority suck.
I'm still making most of my money crafting in the 50s. Though my lev 25 fire/ice blaster is really fun to play, it's not been profitable. I doubt I'll break even on the sets I loaded her with.

even bother looking at those levels for the most part. Some of this is the evident
lack of suppy (and a main reason I, personally, got into this little project), and
part of it is that there's a definite perception that those low-level IO's don't
perform well at all compared to L50 shinies.
The fact that the latter perception is mostly wrong doesn't seem to matter.
I also agree that the Mid's comment on forum builds is a contributor to that
line of thinking.
I doubt we'll change that much, so my goal is simply to work on the supply side.
That way, at least, people that do understand it will have some available shinies
to use on their toons without having to wait until L50... <shrug>

Just an FYI,
A group of players over on Protector are looking to set up a similar endeavor there. So, if for some reason Freedom isn't your bag, or it IS, but you're full-up there, we may have an alternative server for you.
Addition of the linky. Sometimes I'm so inconsiderate.

Thanks!

Someone bought some of my level 32 stuff- an Executioner's Contract and a Razzle Dazzle. That actually makes me happier than selling a level 33 LoTG global recharge.
Archantos- did you ever get into the SG? What's your global and when do you normally play/what time zone?

Fulmens,
Did not get into the SG (or VG) yet. My Global is @Epoxy Man, I am on just about every night but not later than 10PM CST unless its the weekend. Then it's until I get sleepy.
I rolled a stalker yesterday as well, still deciding on what level to freeze him at (leaning towards 25).

I haven't had much time to play lately, but I did pick up a few bronze rolls yesterday and scored a Karma -KB recipe.
My two cents on the disposition of drops: if it has 1+ for sale and 0 bids, I'm going to delete it. If it has 1+ bids and 0 for sale, I'm going to sell it. Take this karma recipe for example: 0 for sale, 28 bids. I'm going to list it for slightly more than the highest price in the last five, on the grounds that every other recipe must have been underpriced or else the supply wouldn't be 0. Every other drop I've gotten so far I've deleted, I think. For the time being I'm locked at level 15, by the way. |
On an unrelated note, it appears we had quite a luck charm run at some point. Every luck charm listed below 5mill sold out, and more than half the ones I listed at 5 mill are gone. Let's see, I bought them for under 50,000. I sold them for 5,000,000. Yeah, I think I came out ahead on that deal. Of course, it took at least six months for them to sell.

The fire/rads (5 of us) with the help of one scrapper, ran a Synapse TF tonight. It took us 2:04 minutes, with 6 deaths (most of them mine). I got almost 3 levels out of the run.

I've been running my own solo level-locked characters on Guardian and occasionally posting items in the Mid-Level Crisis Generated Stuff thread. Is that OK? I am intentionally throwing some mid-level stuff into the market without being a member of the SG or even on Freedom.

First off, if this is necromancing the thread, sorry. This is about the only place I could make sure MLC guys would see it. Now, on with the shoe!
Okay, I know that some of the people given base edit rights are busy with stuff. But a "just put stuff down" base makes my fingers itch. And my fingers are VERAH itchy.
So, I hooked our venerable SG super-leader and wrestled him into submission for base edit rights. It went something like this:
Flamin' Trolla: Can I haz base edit rights? Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease?
Protection Racket: Sure!
* You have been promoted to Line Manager
* You have been promoted to Manager
* You have been promoted to Vice President
* You have been promoted to Director
Flamin' Trolla: Thanks!
High-res (1920x1080) versions of these pics can be found here.
Anyhow, the SG had in excess of 2 million prestige. So I had QUITE a bit of wiggle room.
First off, I upgraded to the 8x12 plot.
As you can see, it's really meant to be three functional corridors.
Down the left, the workshop areas.
Down the right, the transport areas. And yes, now now have our own array of teleport bays.
In order from far right (north).
- Steel Canyon
- Talos Island
- Atlas Park
- Pocket D
- Skyway City
- Kings Row
- Independence Port
- Peregrine Island
- Founders falls
- Rikti War Zone
- The Hollows
- Faultline
- Brickstown
- Croatoa
- Perez Park
- Dark Astoria
Lastly, the main corridor is the Infirmary. Right now it's got a whopping ONE reclaimator in it. But it's right next to the Inspie storage which'll do until we can come up with an Auto-Doc.
And yes, since we had the prestige, I splurged and built us a Turbine generator. We should be more than good for base power for quite a while with this.
Finally, I dropped the supercomputer in for more compact control and finished it off with an Pillar.
As such, MLC is an effectively self-sufficient base now. Thanks largely to the hard work of everyone out there running in SG mode.
Also, you'll note, we're still in more or less the same basic color/style scheme we were originally. I'm not Mr. Super-Schmexy Base Design guy. I'm a "The base works, it's functional, and usable" kinda guy.
I also more or less left the workshops alone as to what storage items went in which room. If there's some over-arching organization that I cannot see, somebody tell me. If not, I'm going to probably clean them up a bit so they're less cluttered and obstructive.
Also, we still have 133K prestige socked away against future rent payments. I've also updated the MOTD. The base isn't really something you could get lost in or anything. But popping in the first time might corn-fuse people if they aren't ready for the changes.
Again, if you have suggestions, let me know here or in-game.
If you hate it and want something different, again, lemme know. I have almost zero pride on this. I just want to make the base something useful for everyone.
In-game, just shoot a tell at @Hyperstrike1.
