FURY!!

The best thing since sliced bread.

Unbelievably amazing.

A game within a game.

Plainly, purely, simply awesome.

That is all.

It makes things quite interesting indeed.

Words to the wise aren't necessary- it's the stupid ones that need them.

I find fury to be addictive...too much so at times. I fill my insp tray with blues in the early levels so I can keep swinging...I get three reds, I combine em for a blue...I slot for end reduction.....I have only recently started toggling sprint on and off for getting to the next mob faster. Teammates that know me call rests for after the next mob. They know Im already at the next one. Like a heroin junky Im constantly chasing a full fury bar.
I annoy my teammates...I begrudge each and every rest [whine] "But my fury bar is getting lower...." [/whine]...

I play scrappers and I turn into Bobby McFerrin back there (well Bobby McFerrin with fiery fists of impending doom). "Whenever you guys are ready...take yer time...chat about what yer eating, its okay...Ill still be here". The attitude change is horrendous. I want to punch myself in the face and hope that helps generate fury.

I feel better

P.S. Punching yerself in the face does nothing for your fury bar

Was looking for a new quote for my sig. Thanks to Frogfather I've found it.

But it should. I wonder if Castle can work that out somehow.

Be well, people of CoH.

I slot all my characters for end reduction at the low levels now :P I realized that the damage increase is negligible if I start to miss and run out of endurance and have to rest. Till I get stamina I got a page full of blue and yellow enhancements :P

Oh, and I found out that end reduction is better for attacks than the shields at low levels, I did not know that :P

Endurance reduction is ALWAYS better for attacks than the sheilds at any level.

Yup. We tend to slot both, but attacks do use up the bulk of your endurance.

They ALL float down here. When you're down here with us, you'll float too!

It's more pertinent at low levels, due to the fact at higher levels stamina and more slots to throw around make it less important. I can afford to have an end reduction in my shields, because I don't have anywhere else to throw slots.

It's not really a case of high vs. low levels. A quick way of looking at it is to take your most-used attack and just divide its base endurance with base activation and recharge. Usually you'll get something a lot higher than the typical 0.21 end/s that toggles consume.

Pulverize, for example, would be 0.89 end/s. Now add in Bash for 0.97 end/s and you can see how quickly the balance starts tipping against you.

Well, that's not why it's a high level vs. low level situation, though.

It's always more effective to slot an attack for endurance reduction than a toggle. However, at high levels, you may have the endurance management tools to handle less effective use of your endurance reduction slots, and may have attacks fully six-slotted with other stuff. Your armor toggles, though, only need 3 slots of SO's to be fully effective, after that any additional slots may as well be endurance reduction. My usual response to this situation is to frankenslot, or just build full sets, but there are plenty of people who rely on SO's or common IO's. For that matter, even folks who are frankenslotting or building sets still have to actually acquire the set IO's they're going to use, and until then, make do with the cheap stuff.

At low levels, you flat out need endurance reduction in your attacks in order to continue attacking and thus build Fury. At high levels, you *MAY* be able to get away without, and further *MAY* have a reason to do so. So sometimes, endurance reduction may be better (for your character) in armor toggles, even though it's obviously better (strictly for conserving endurance) in your attacks.
