  1. I don't have a huge income, but I've had three-four very valuable purples drop just from wall farming in between trials/TFs. I'm sitting on 3 billion because of two 700 mill drops along with what I had made up till that point with crafting and flipping.
  2. I just got this on one of my new characters, anyone really want one? Global is @krasus if anyone is interested. I could try this on the market, but unless someone is really looking for it, it may fall by the wayside. Yay for low level procs.

This is an achilles' heel proc, just in case there is another I'm forgetting.
  3. Are damage procs more powerful than pure damage io's in damage fields?
  4. I think that when you will be maxing out KM's potential with io's, you'll be stacking recharge. With that in mind, I think that a click set like regen, which benefits greatly from recharge, may have good synergy.

I'm fairly new to scrappering, but in theory, picking a secondary that can take advantage of a recharge build would be better.

Also, I've heard that km animations are actually pretty short. Though don't quote me on that.
  5. Thanks for the input, that's what I was looking at. With Io's I could do some major changes, but in the end, the set has an inherant squishiness and any money I put into it, could be better spent on something else, which would be more powerful for it.
  6. I've got bunches of characters I play for fun, and a couple I've io'd out. But I don't have a really great character for solo'ing hard content, be it +4/x8 missions or av's. The closest I've got is my elec/elec brute, and while I feel warm and fuzzy when destroying x8 rikti missions, I can't do this with any of the other enemy groups in the game, and forget solo'ing a pylon. I almost get two-shot while flying by one of them.

Now granted, this brute doesn't have any io's in him yet, but I'm wondering if I might be better off making a /sd scrapper, as I feel the character may be better in every way, and much easier to build around.

I've heard that dark is the top single target right now, and km is being examined. Fire and elec are pretty close in aoe damage.

Is elec at such a disadvantage compared to shields or wp that it's not worth spending the inf on sets? Should I just make a new character and focus my efforts on them?
  7. I actually felt that the main weakness of the character was the secondary, I do enough damage to wipe out most enemies fairly quickly, but I take a lot of damage from s/l heavy groups. Also, while end sapping is nice, it doesn't prevent most enemies from attacking.
  8. I was definitely considering a heavy recharge build if I kept my elec/elec, power sink + lightning rod + faster heal would probably be good. I'm just not sure how much worse it is than alternatives, I do know that I can tear any energy using groups apart, but I can't always pick my enemies.
  9. I've heard a lot of the awesomeness that comes with an elec/shield meleer. Now, I have a level 50 elec/elec brute, but I'm not sure if he's worth putting io's into, or if I would just be better off grabbing a shield, and maybe even switching AT's.

With the recent changes to shields, and fury, am I better off just switching and not spending the inf on my elec/elec?
  10. Thanks for the advice everyone, I most definitely needed the damage in my ST immob and hold, because I know that a lot of the elec powers lack in damage, until at least gremlins. I think I'm doing alright with my current setup, I've been solo'ing elite bosses quite well, though devore gave me a few problems.
  11. How do you slot immobs then? other than 2 acc/2 recharge?
  12. Thanks for the responses, I was throwing damage into my ST hold and immob since nothing else does much damage for elec control, and I was just making sure that it wasn't a huge mistake. I'm only around 11 now, but the 2 duration/2 recharge/2 acc tip for my aoe powers is a good one, when I get those slots anyways.
  13. Thanks, it should help me a little bit with my secondary as well.
  14. I can look at guides, and plan builds for later, but I'm really curious, what do people do with their controls when they only have a few slots. I know that low level brutes and scrappers benefit more from end reduction than extra damage, I am wondering if low level controller slotting is somewhat wonky.

Because you can slot for all the usual stuff, damage, acc, endred. And the controller stuff, duration. Plus there are some benefits in recharge....It has me somewhat flustered.

I am playing elec control right now, which is a damage light set to begin with, but I'm still curious for the other powersets as well.

    Electric Brute

I like power surge, god mode is invaluable, and I like having more attacks in my chain, though it is possible to drop a melee attack for one of the patron attacks.

    Electric Brute

The main problem I've had with my elec brute is the build can get tight for powers. You kinda want most of the stuff from both trees. As well as tough/weave, because without those two you will be uber squishy. This doesn't leave room for patron power pools. At least in my build.
  17. Did lightning clap ever get changed to knockdown? Should I bother picking it up?
  18. Elec armor has a lot of necessary power picks, I'm not sure if I could drop anything save maybe lightning reflexes, and I still need at least tough, and probably weave, to make up for the lack of S/L r/d.

Compared to my blaster, my brute has had some tough build decisions. I've had to forgo any patron powers so I could boost my anemic S/L levels.

    Power Sink

something to keep in mind, slotting power sink with end mod increases the amount you gain from each enemy, as well as the amount you take away. Three slotted with end mod drains most normal enemies dry in one power sink, lightning field keeps them low, and hitting even a single enemy with power sink can fill well over half your bar.

Unslotted it's good. Now that I have it fully slotted it's one of my favourite abilities.
  20. It's more pertinent at low levels, due to the fact at higher levels stamina and more slots to throw around make it less important. I can afford to have an end reduction in my shields, because I don't have anywhere else to throw slots.
  21. I slot all my characters for end reduction at the low levels now :P I realized that the damage increase is negligible if I start to miss and run out of endurance and have to rest. Till I get stamina I got a page full of blue and yellow enhancements :P

Oh, and I found out that end reduction is better for attacks than the shields at low levels, I did not know that :P
  22. It's a heal, a boost to health regeneration of about 200% and it also discounts the endurance cost on all your powers. It's probably one of my favourite heals.
  23. Also, since I grabbed energize I was able to jack my difficulty up to 4 person team.
