And it wasn't actually an idea for a thread originally, just I was so shocked I had to comment... But then got thinking it could be a cool thread.
Before I stumbled across Zenibyfajnie I totally would have said Felicia Day if anyone wanted a real life reference... But now I found the perfect real world substitute. (And if she didn't apparently live in Poland I consider brushing up my stalking skills...)

As for your question...not really. In my mind, physically, Gray was inspired by Famke Janssen, except with a Latina influence (and by default, so is Jackalynn).
that is going to come in handy when commissioning fenian girl art then isn't it 
hasn't happened to me. I have an image in my head of all my characters the best I can do is come up with good enoughs. one day I will find them though :P
So now I can picture Fenian Girl naked, so that should be useful.
I've never found a good "live" reference for Polish Princess or Tally-Ho. I tried looking before when Wassy was asking for photo references but could never find one who really felt right.

Well, I had the idea for my vampire, Lord Leon DeFeurard, for a while...
But while browsing vampire pictures I came across one person in particular;
(I know, its the only one which showed him without the top-hat)
That pretty much IS Leon. I think it's something in the eyes.
Theres been ones that are close to certain characters, but I've found very few actual matches.
I really do need to draw some more of them.

Not too many of my female characters have real-world counterparts except for Retail Retali8r who is me, but at one point a certain character that I have in many, many genres and games (where ever I can put him he's there) ... Sanger is an olive-skinned, black haired and blue-eyed guy with a strong nose and jawline, and long hair...

I had a long while ago started the Live Action Project for storing my photomanips of characters. I pinged some friends for ideas for who should play Roxy and bam, first image I find for Charlize Theron was so dead on attitude/styling wise, just had to change hair/eye color.

What was even spookier is that I have a Champions character which is sort of an imperfect copy of Roxy named Radiance, so I thought 'hey her Live Action would be Charlize, wouldn't it?' Dead on shot again, minus eye color adjustment.

While on Deviant Art I spotted one of the Daily Deviations and my jaw just dropped... Not because the picture was that awesome (though it was a good pic!) but because the woman in the photograph looked EXACTLY like I always imagined my character Fenian Girl to look like.

I based Fenian's looks loosely off an ex-girlfriend and what I "go for" in general in girls...And to find someone who fit my mental image so perfectly was just amazing.
Anyway, it was just shocking to see my in game "creation" and my mental image of it so exactly personified in flesh and blood - Hair color, face, body, everything... (only "flaw" is mental image has a spattering of freckles across the nose... I can live without that though)
Anyway, it's a self portrait and all her self portraits make me just drool...
So, has this ever happened to you? Not where you designed the character to look like the person but rather had the character first and then found the person who personified them??
