Please don't make me taunt 3 mito's, it's hard enough to work on a build in mid's while im taunting 2.

<3 Cherry, sorry I couldn't be at the raid sooner to help you out.

Yes I know. I was being funny.

In all seriousness though I am very directionally challenged. That is why my raids always had a yellow leader that was used to dealing with my directionally challenged ways. :-) Telling me a number wouldn't help me one iota.

Ok, i read all the posts.

Like most of you i have never been on a failed Hami-Raid. It surprised me how long everything took. I have never seen Cherry or Fang lead before so i did not know how much experience they had.

From my perspective:

I walked into the event with a team half of which had never been to a Hami-Raid. I was told to disband it, i told cherry maybe it was a better idea to take 3 of my emps (experienced) and switch them in for 3 blasters making my team a ranged team (this would leave me with 4 hami-rookies but they were people who had spent lots of time teaming together). I was told to disband again becuase leaders were already selected. So we disbanded (i think cherry was already irked at me at this point). I SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE SUPPORTIVE.

I went into full support mode. Jetsinator left our team and started flying all over the place, i thought he had to deal with the whole group so i knew our new team leader would keep track of Jetsinator so i put myself on follow with War Admiral so i could stay with the group while keeping track of others.

Emping is not well understood (it is not obvious of all the things they do), i was on follow and auto-heal. That left me free to do other things such as cycle Adrenaline Rush and Fortitude on the team, spam RA's, and target what Admiral was shooting at with HOLDS (I was cycling 3 holds).

From what i gathered in chat was only one problem, all the sitting around, i spent time trying to get people to be patient. I relayed this to Fang (i should have kept quiet and handled the issue myself, i am sure he was already busy).

I know we all have different perspectives and jobs, i wrote this so you can see things from the EMPS point of view. I have used this Grav/Emp successfully many times, leaders prefer i bring it.

Excuse me while I scratch my head...

Ok done...

I explained to the team what to do, asked if there was any questions. Everyone understood they were to target ME no matter what as I was the main targeter. The other 2 ranged teams understood this as well. I disbanded team only after everyone told me they understood what to do. As a leader I rounded up all the late comers to make sure they were on a team, and I could make sure they were up to speed. The problem with you targeting War and not me is you will not hit anything. You need to target me directly as you can not double target through 2 people. OH, and you're sure right I was all over the place monsters are spread out and we usually use the same path to take them down, and there is a set way we enter the jello as to now get too much yellow splash off the first mito.

Of course you haven't seen Cherry or Fang lead a Hamidon raid before. That would require actually going to one prior to this week.

Yes I'm sure they do. However, if you are on an assault team, the gravity holds is what we want not the emping. I run a grave bubbler, Au Contraire, as an Assault team Leader every week and other than my dispersion bubble (which is a visual way point for the other assault teams to follow and nothing else) I spam holds and attacks. I do not bubble buff. Hami cuts them down. Same with CM and Fort. (well maybe the +dmg is good but the +def is moot.) Assault is needed only for assault. If u have emp secondary BONUS cause you can rez ppl if we get Hami or Yellow Mito agro. OR AB for some ppl that get a slow debuff. But everything else is useless. Just please concentrate on attacking the targeter's target and enjoy the ride.

I'm so glad to be part of the misunderstood class. (e/ snipy remark, not directed at anyone in particular because there were several who were doing this, is it necessary to spam your heals at the rock while we are organizing teams and between rushes? Just asking.)

In defense of the yellow taunt rookies, IMO they did a good job. They were completely taken by surprise once the RAs dropped but there was never any hesitation on their part to get back to work until they couldn't do it any more. (And both emps on the taunt team ended up on that side of the mito to help them out as much as we could.) Now, tell me again why I took archery? Oh yea, character concept.

Yep, same with dispersion bubble. It's good for the status protection. For the defense? Not so much.

If there was someone on every team liberally giving out status protection and keeping the cycle up about 15 minutes could be shaved off of any raid. Truff.

I wanted to give it a go again. I havn't done a Hami since the new one came online. The last one I ran with, we lost because of griffing. At that time, monsters could be dragged into the fight causing major problems for the teams just as the mez and attack phase of Hami took place. I know that those issues were addressed with the new release, but I've still never returned. Mostly because of the time on Sundays. I would like to get into it again if you are going to keep these up during the week. The holidays are my only problem with attending right now, but the new year will bring order back to what is right now, chaos.

I'm sorry it didn't go well for you all. I only hope it can be done again soon and vindicated.

Oh we'll keep doin them mid-week come the new year.. between the 2 mid week impromptu raids that have been ran, we've all gotten a lot of feedback from new players and vets that havnt done them since the good ol day's and were super excited to see them and be able to participate.. its hard for a lot of people on sundays to come, and when they are able, the zone fills up super fast...

Personally speaking this failure really kinda hit me hard.. as its been noted by several others, we do these raids weekly, and i have been privileged to have had the opportunities to lead a few of them (not leading the yellow team, but the raid over-all) and this failure was a 1st.. and i took it to heart.. But, ive "pulled up my big girl panties" and am looking forward to continued success leading them again and being a part of some new ideas for the raids that are brewing for the new year.

<3 Cherry.

The endurance drain protection in Insulation Shield can occasionally be a lifesaver as well. Back when the strategy on some servers was for assault teams to distract the blues and greens by attacking the blues while the melee teams took down the yellows both Insulation Shield and O2 Boost were good for reducing the pain from blue blasts, and O2 Boost also helped against the stuns.
i still occasionally flatline on endurance from blue blast effects.

If people say they've never been on a failed raid, they're lying, or they've been lucky on the one or two they showed up for. If you've done enough of them, you WILL fail at least one, especially if you're trying a new tactic.

Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.

Will there be an override feature for this? Otherwise, Elf will never be able to post again.
