Release Notes for 1600.20091015.5T

Training Room

COMBINED


Global Chat

  • Fixed a bug that would prevent another player from being added to your Global Friends list if the invitation was sent while both characters were in the same zone.
Halloween Event
  • Increased the frequency of Zombie Apocalypse and Deadly Apocalypse events.
  • Fixed a bug that was sometimes causing the Greater Aspect to spawn in inaccessible locations in some zones (Founder’s Falls, Faultline, Cap au Diable)
  • Fix to Halloween choice table allowing you to take an inspiration even though your inspiration inventory is full.
  • Implemented code to prevent an edge-case map crash that occasionally occurs during the Deadly Apocalypse Event.

Merit Rewards
  • To avoid inconsistencies, merits are now awarded at the moment the final objective of a mission is completed instead of the moment the leader exits the mission map

Mission Architect
  • Fixed a bug that could cause freeing captives in timed architect missions to cause the mission to immediately fail.

Tasks
  • When your character leaves / quits a team, the character always leaves the Task / Strike Force (s)he is on.

Trial Accounts
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when a player with a trial account attempted to upgrade their account while logged into the game.

Disconnecting is not quitting a TF/SF (or pseudo-TF/SF). When you come back into game, you are still on the TF/SF.

Quitting is hitting the button in the team list, or typing /leaveteam.

But they're not magical. All event critters and GMs are just animatronic robots designed to give superpowered individuals somthing to do. By periodically releasing these entities upon Paragon City and the Isles it draws all the heroes and villains to a central location, thus leaving the rest of the world free to go about its business.

Figured I'd better post this as soon as possible even though it's very, very late at night here.

I copied my Bane Spider over to the EU test server earlier and have spent the night trying to complete the level 45+ story arcs Iron Fist and Time After Time from Captain Mako. I'm using the word "trying" because entering any mission seems to have a fifty percent chance of causing a full crash with verify. The current build on live is rock stable in comparison on my computer.

Will the fixes from 10/5 make it back into this build? I noticed that during the Halloween tests these fixes were missing (Shield Charge damage and Invincibility activation sound looping) and they didn't make it back in when the Halloween code went live.

The Trick or Treat mobs drop both, but should honestly be on the Magic-only table. The real kicker is that they drop solely Sci/Tech DOs and Tech SOs, which is ludicrous.

We've been complaining on the forums and /bugging this for months, and it finally gets fixed! Yay!

That's the same thing. They long ago had the DNS for ParagonWiki moved to the Titan site. (They recently had some issues with the DNS expiring, but they got it straightened out in short order.)

Yep. The pages linked above are copies as best as could be recovered of the Paragon Times articles, which (if I understand correctly) were not brought over to these forums. I remember seeing them, and (as Dev sourced) they were canon information at the time they were published.

Seems like door ToTing isn't working... I'm in Mercy with a lvl 5, and all I keep getting is "You cannot enter."

Note: If you performed this on the Training Room, the Halloween Event is not running on the Training Room.

I'll kick it off on both North American and EU Training Room servers today.

If you see this behavior on the Live Servers, please do not hesitate to /bug it in-game.

Thanks Uber, I learned something new today. I never realized they'd done this as I always use the www.paragonwiki.com address to get there. I also haven't ever used the wiki.cohtitan.com address, or I'd have seen the Paragon Wiki logo.

Anyone else seeing the levels of mobs in flashbacks being borked since this went live? By borked I mean being 5-15 levels below the level of the FB. It's kind of fun to go around one-shotting everything, but I'm sure it's not intended.

My wife and I run level 50 Ouro mishes.... today after the patch they are level 45! This is definitely not working as intended! Right?!?

Historically, the inverse is true.

They thought chinese firecrackers were magic, and that's probably where I lot of magic comes from. (of the visible casting projectile sort).
