Just caught up ES... "we" have to talk. I forgot you're Aussie, now your voice is stuck in my head... plenty of room up there with the previous squatters. What was that dual shape thing you were doing, very cool!

I love how he pronounces "Wassy" with his Australian accent... *swoon*

Agree with CR, very informative. And very appreciated. I too would like to know how you handle "Glow" effects such as eyes or powers.

Also, the one thing i missed was when you used the blur tool to soften the lines of your highlights. At least I THINK that's what you did.

Wassy cracks me up! And nothing funnier than my son walking in and saying "He sounds Australian is he from Australia." LOL

Thanks again Eddy! If my oil rig in my backyard ever hits oil I'll be hitting you up for some paid work! In the mean time watch out for Dingos. Wait is dingo code like cougars here in the states? If so good hunting!

I think you may mean Alchemy, most of us were quit impressed with that program. The one that made everything symetrical as he drew it? http://al.chemy.org/ Apparently you have to sign up for the newsletter or something and then they'll send you a link to download it... I believe that was how it was explained. But it's shareware...

Thank you very much for taking time out of your evening to hold this sitting for us Eddy! It was fun and informative!

Between my lack of Photoshop knowledge and necessity of quick progression through your coloring tutorial, my specific questions pertain to line art and your technique of masking it for color applicaiton.

I'm sure you're avalanched with art requests and other questions, not to mention RL to deal with, but if you could advise the best way to dialogue with you on my questions, that would be appreciated!

Thanks again!

Not entirely sure what your talking about with the blurring of highlights, I didnt use any blurring for the highlights Just the regular photshop brush with flow turned down to blend the color as I painted it.

Lol I am glad you got some entertainment out of it and hopefully something useful.

I will definitely look to make a better resource of this for you, perhaps a demo recording of me preparing lines and talking through it? glad you got something out of it!

seemed like everyone was having a pretty cool time chatting in the chat box, Finally read through it, Wassy has convinced me I should take a trip to America. If my accent has the effect that she believes it does It could be a very fun trip Will have to save those pennies, was looking to go next year for San diago comic con anyway.

I just spit coffee all over my office. But now that I think about it, neither was I.
Next time you need to get a female Aussie friend to say MY name over and over! YEAH that's it!

Well like I said I missed some things so I may have just misunderstood what was happening. I need to get bigger speakers for next time. My cruddy $20 ones weren't loud enough.

Ok will be doing another little something this weekend, Let me know if you want to attend and I will try and organise it so everyone interested in comming can make it.

Posted

I'd like to swing by. If you did something late Saturday night for us, I think that would be Sunday morning for you, and maybe most people (and yourself) would be awake and alert?

I want to hear this much-lauded accent. And learn something too, even though I can't draw to save my life.
