I had my Plant/Storm/Stone running an AE map the other night, Demon map replaced with standard Dev created mobs. By the end of the first run, hero stats was showing 24 million per hour. O.o Granted I won't get any sales for all of that but ending up with 10k worth of bronze rolls should really boost that. I hope by the end of tonight I'll be able to edit this and fill in some solid results for the full hour.
The big reason I take my plant storm to the AE rather than just run council is that you can pack larger mobs closer together and give your creepers patch a chance to follow you along, where on the council map, with so much distance between spawns you usually only see it when you first summon it.
Something also I thought about was... I had to take a handful of Kin allies out of my map for the run, but with the way things are now, you could leave them in and have it not effect your inf/hour numbers since anyone can run AE content like that. I figure its a variable that doesn't need messed with at the minute, but I imagine some builds could hit some higher numbers if using the AE and allies that compliment their power sets.
I'm seeing builds get to the 24-27M milestone. Can anybody break 30M in an hour?

I think if someone can hit 25 Million per hour off of defeats, they could get close in the AE by rolling up 40 Common Damage IO's and vendoring them for about 4 Million influence. That's my plan at least.
Character : Kataclysmos (Plant/Storm/Stone)
Settings : +2/x8/No Bosses/No AV's
Mission : AE Map with CoT Minions/Council LT's/Council Bosses
Starting amount : 175,692,016
Influence from Kills : 26,287,641
Influence from drops : 4,179,600
Total Influence gained : 30,467,241 (Woooo!)
Ending amount : 206,159,257
Final time was 1:00:21
Total Tickets earned 8,987.
Bought 36 level 50 Damage IO's selling them for 116,100 a piece. (Of course if we were allowed to use the market and roll up 9K tickets of bronze rolls the number would be a lot higher)
Time to complete the first run 10:55
Villains defeated : 1,991 (32.99 per minute)
0 Bosses
684 LT's
1200 Minions
Inspirations used : 636
Had to go back and RE IO this guy a bit, more recovery/regen, near soft capped to S/L and a bit more recharge with some extra purple sets. Definitely paid off.
That is impressive.
I'm going to run a low end build like Squez did, probably my emp/elec just not sure when.

Character: Mr. Kiribati (Electric/Shield Scrapper)
Settings: +2/X8/with Bosses
Mission: 5 mission AE Story Arc
First Run through all 5 missions:
14,487,424 inf, 6007 tickets, 31 minutes
15 minute break (and bought a quick gold roll to reduce my tickets)
Second Run though all 5 missions:
15,807,680 inf, 6978 tickets, 32 minutes
Averaged per hour:
28,852,480 inf
12,367 tickets
I could've increased my inf/hour by a decent amount if I cleared each map instead of exiting when I was close to the ticket cap, but I wanted to maximize that as well.
I don't know what you want to make for ticket assumptions, but averaged over that many bronze rolls they are pretty decent. Even selling rare salvage I would say 12k tickets would be worth more influence than what was actually newly generated...
Bumping this up so hopefully I give this a shot over the weekend.
OK -did 4 Borea missions with a lvl 50 Fire/Energy/Fire tank. (wanted the merits also) +0/x8
5,239,419 from mobs
2,025,132 from drops
7,264,551 total
Kept:
Armageddon: chance for fire proc
Efficacy Adaptor: Rech/Acc
Gravitational Anchor: Chance for Hold
touch of the nictus: Acc/end/Heal
Not too bad considering not the best mob choices - too much psi.
#2
Did an AE farm using BM map and Infernal mobs. No real risk, even with 3 ambushes, but huge mistake I think, in using Bosses.
4,242,543 inf and 1500 tickets.
Need to drop the bosses on next run.
#3 - ran the actual BM mission twice. Filled up on recipes, salvage and enhancements. Dumped the bosses.
6,395,138 from mobs
2,016,839 from items
Star of the runs was the Hecatomb. Wow those are crazy expensive.
These really make me go wow at the people putting up 20+ million an hour.
Council Empire on my Katana/Dark Armor scrapper - not a farmer, but not a single-target specialist either. My hour includes travel from and to Unai for vendoring so that the hour is theoretically repeatable indefinitely. Only checked influence at beginning and end so don't have the breakdown of defeats vs. drops, so I'm not even meeting the minimum requirements of this, but I thought I'd toss my numbers out there anyway.
+0x8 no bosses: 8,234,670
+1x8 with bosses: 10,369,528
+2x8 no bosses: 11,939,051
+2x8 with bosses: 12,492,560
+3x8 with bosses: 12,743,295
+4x8 with bosses: 12,068,485
AE farm, same scrapper, assuming tickets traded for level 50 damage IOs for vendoring:
+2x8 with bosses: 11,898,582

If you can tolerate/survive them, Rikti are excellent earnings. A +2 Rikti minion is worth about 30% more than other +2 minions. On the other hand, large spawns of them end up producing 3-4 Guardians, which means that if you don't defeat or incapacitate them quickly they can actually cascade buffs until they're a serious problem. +2/3 mobs with 3-4 AccMets hit pretty hard and swing pretty often, and they can end up with stacked bubbles, too.
Several AccMetted Mentalist/Mesmerists can also present a somewhat unusual problem. I've had them stack mezzes through a Scrapper's protections.
I feel earn the extra inf in their case.

Well, I figured I'd spend an hour on the north end of the Rikti War Zone and see how those earnings went. I stopped after half an hour. I wasn't making much influence compared to the trouble - since when did the Rikti RUN so frickin' much? Lame. So it looks like I'll be farming Council Empire +2x8 with bosses for some decent influence while still moving quickly enough to get a reasonable chance at good drops.

Interesting i´ll try to run this 1 oir 2 times during the weekend. I would also be interested in seeing a 1-22 challenge to see how much inf carious toons end up with at 22 when its time to buy so´s just by selling their drops and influence from missions.
There has been a 1-10 challenge. Not so much a challenge, as I believe it stipulated that all drops be put on the market for 1 inf and that you play no market games. So it was more a matter of "by level 10, you should have at least this much influence". I don't remember the numbers; I just remember that the numbers seemed good enough that there would be no reason to complain about your lowbies being poor.
That said, I actually didn't have enough influence on my most recent alt to get all SOs when I hit 22. It shocked me, as it's been a long time since that happened. Funny thing is, probably half a level into 22, I had all my SOs plus a few million banked. I think I'd just gotten very unlucky with my drops, and then suddenly got very lucky. Strange things happen sometimes.

I tried my fire/sr/blaze Warrior clan map 1+/8 with bosses but got fed up with all the damn scatter and decided to call it quits.
Seeing how little influence i gained and judging by the cost of the build when completed i decided to strip at continue use it as a marketing toon.
Transfered some influence to my partially io'd spine/will and plugged the many holes with so's. Took me some time to remember the map and i havent played this toon for a year. Was fun.
1+/8 No Bosses Council Empire for 55 minutes gave me according to herostats.

Going to try a different map(defend portal corp) on the same toon this weekend.
Had some time before the mothership raid tonight so i ran through the mission.

Great thread, i havnt tried to track my influ per hour since i cannot get CoH stats to work with Vista. So i did some quick runs of my farm map on my DM/Shield scrapper to see how i would fair.
I only ran the perimeter of the Council Close Dimensional Rupture mission set for +3 baddies 8 players. The runs take me 10 mins a piece almost on the dot every reset. Each run produced an average of 4,968,720 a run. For a total of 29,812,320. I didnt track salvage or recipes.
I use alot of inspirations not for survival but more for +damage. I also pop Geas of the Kind when it is up. All in all had fun and enjoyed the challenge!
Im rich because you trust the previous 5 bids!!
My market signature is the highest bid!!!!
are you guys using hero stats to count kills or are you going through the combat log and counting?
herostats or dropstats

wheee, time to reinstall herostats!
The Nethergoat Archive: all my memories, all my characters, all my thoughts on CoH...eventually.
My City Was Gone
Character: Steatoda (Arachnos Fortunata, Heavily IO'd)
Settings : +2/x8/No Bosses/No AV's
Mission : Random Riktis from Borea
Influence from Kills : 12,946,986
Influence from drops : 2,290,375
Total Influence gained : 15,237,361
Final time was 1:00:31
What was left over :
Positronic Matrix
Platinum
Villains defeated : 970 (15.77 per minute) Extra were portals and monkeys
0 Bosses
166 LT's
720 Minions
Inspirations used : 52
Note: kept the timer running for travel between missions
Things I learned:
1. CoH would be a much better game if mobs didn't run all over the place
2. Shield charge needs to get nerfed hard, the numbers difference between IO'd shield toons and IO'd non-shield toons is terribly noticeable in this thread.
I did another run against council on +2x8 no bosses on my Fire/Fire brute. It seemed quite painful as my brute is a bit squishy really.
Results
Inf from defeats 8.2 million.
Inf from drops 2.3 million.
Total 10.5 million.
655 defeats including 516 minions and 139 lts.
