Most Useless Blueside Class?
Ar/fire blaster. Talk about useless >.>
Even an AR/Fire would have Build Up and a high damage ranged Immob to leverage Ignite with, and AR, being one of the sets with overpowered crashless nukes, needs no support from the secondary.
Well, as seems to be usually for this forum and any question about *anything* - most useless at what, exactly?
What does she want to be "most useless" at? Teaming? Soloing? PvP?

I'm thinking more so a pri/sec combo that it counter-intuitive. And also something that I can make really brightly colored in regard to powers and costume, too. Just a general overall crappy hero.

But even then, there is literally nothing in this game that is useless that isn't directly funded by the stupidity and/or ego of the player. It isn't EQ or FFxi. There are no low level Thieves here.

"Most useless class" = none of them, honestly. If you want some sort of out-there challenge, or self-gimping, look into ignoring as many of your powers as possible and going pool-power heavy. Say, a blaster with Presence, Leadership (low numbers on it,) Fighting and Concealment.

Another funny thing to do would be to make a healing tank, make a tank and get everything in leadership and medicine. that would be funny

Try a defender, they have made it the most useless class in game because any archetype can do what they do better. The only thing that a defender can do that no other class can do is be a Darkness darkness defender, which is an awesome and ultimate hybrid class. Try a archery/archery defender, they are completely useless because the archery blasters out do them.

That's a matter of opinion really. If we're talking pure damage, sure, defenders get outdone by other AT's, but that hardly makes them useless.

And for what it's worth, the most "useless" class blueside IMO is Scrapper (as in, they don't act as force multipliers or fullfill any crucial role in teams) so that should tell you something

EDIT: Sorry, that was a bit harsh. But still, that's a pretty inflammatory thing to say. I'm not a huge scrapper fan, either, to be honest with you.
I was only illustrating a point.
Scrappers are very powerful powerhouses of power by themselves, but as far as "usefulness" (in a team) goes, they're easily outshined by other classes, especially support.
You'll often hear "man we need a rad for this ITF!" or "we need a kin and a tank for this STF!" but rarely you will hear "man we can't start this without a scrapper!" from anyone who knows what they're talking about
Good point and honestly, I have always thought of a scrapper as a 10 year old ADD kid running around pissing things off or a tanker wannabe. The only thing they are good for is soloing and being a secondary tank...but no one ever wants to be #2 so they always end up whining.

No "class" is useless when played by a skilled player. Actually, all archetypes can be quite useful if built and played well. The same also applies to all powerset combinations for every archetype.

I believe that if you are going to make an absolute useless class, when choosing your AT choose defender or a scrapper. Scrappers do not benefit the team in any way besides that they can do damage, which every other class in the friggin game can do, or a defender which has been made into a useless AT. there's atleast one AT that can do what a defender can do besides becoming a D3.(When I mean make a defender dont use empathy, kinetics, radiation, or darkness)

Hm. I'd say a trick arrow/energy blast combo would be pretty bad. All the debuffs would be location based, all the blast would knock things out of locations, and you'd have some redraw as well. that's off the top of my head, though. After Trick arrow, dark miasma and kinetics might be 'bad' choices as well. Miasma does its best work on packed groups and locations, so knock around might be an issue-kinetics benefits from being close, whilst energy blast knocks away. It could still be good for the team, but not as good for the defender.
Man build would be about it.
Using only brawl and power pools, as a controller and onyl teaming with other 'man' builds.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Peacebringers yet. As someone who has one of these at level 50 (my second level 50, in fact) I think they're the most useless AT in the whole game. Peacebringers don't have much to bring to the table. They have quite weak damage, a weak single heal, KB in just about every AoE attack which makes their team DPS even less feasible and they don't even get mez protection to compensate. Oh, I forgot, they can have an ok offtanking power, though.
To be honest, though, there's absolutely nothing a Scrapper can't do better than a Peacebringer can. DPS? Scrappers win. Survival? Scrappers win in most cases, it can be a close call with a good PB player, though. Buffs? Neither have any, if it's a /SD Scrapper PBs lose by far. Heals? Ok, PBs have one weak ally heal, it has never, ever saved the day for me because usually in teams there are either enough buffs, debuffs, proper heals or competent players going about the PB heal is only good for topping off people after fights.
I'm not saying here I hate PBs, I quite like their unique playing mechanisms, but their weakness sort of hurts the gaming experience for me. What I hate playing about them is the feeling that they're not actually good at anything... You can correct me on this if you want.

My wife wants me to make her a class that's incredibly useless, just for fun. More concept than anything. She's a seamstress/pattern maker/jewelry maker/crafter IRL, and I'm thinking either Controller or Defender, but I'm not sure. What do you folks think?
