Official Anime Recommendation Thread
Well it's just the NA arm of Bandai. Maybe they will be willing to license their stuff to a publisher here rather than just run the whole thing themselves. They came over here back when anime and manga was booming in late 90s early 00s, not willing to spread their IP around to the established anime and manga distributors and choose to have their own NA group.

The thing I saw said that they were discontinuing publishing and distribution for home videos. To me, that says they are getting out of the biz entirely. Their last shipment date is Nov. 30th w/the effective date of March 1st, 2013.
From ANN.

Also from ANN, the BBC series Sherlock being turned into a manga. I guess they like bishi Sherlock.

Went back to watching Beck (I have this bad habit of starting series then starting something else in the middle of it). Nice sedate, music based show. Some of the songs are pretty good.
Watched Bottle Fairies. My word, the cuteness is overwhelming. It's a short, 2-disc series about a group of 4 small fairies that are learning about being human with the hope of becoming human some day. The episodes are about 15 minutes or so long, so comparable to say Sealab 2021 in length. The only other series that I can think of, that approaches that level of cute is Digi Charat.
Wakfu is quite fun after 4 episodes and from what I've read really gets bumped up several notches in serious scope of story and action. Of note is that it is French dubbed (being a French-Japanese collaboration.
Yet another anime house is done.
