seriously getting bored with issue 16 already. By the way i think the color customization is great. Other than that its all game play adjustments. What is everyone doing to keep the game fresh right now? Recommend any really good AE arcs to try out? Im not a fan of AE, but willing to try it some more if anything has caught your attention.

Nope, not bored here. Just created a new Tanker last night (an Elec/DB), and once I got the costume right and everything, it's still been fun, even at the low levels for me.

Always fun to try out new sets and combinations of powers.

Uhh, you could try "Big Ideas", by @Amazing Amazon. Tell us if you find any problems.

Or you could try a sonic/dark defender. I've got one and it's an interesting challenge, since my SG has gotten way too used to having a force fielder or dark or something and have therefore decided to roll all blasters and play like they can't die.

I'm still reveling in the fact that it's about half as hard to put together a team than it was a few weeks ago. That would count for another issue by itself, as far as I'm concerned.

Not bored. Been having fun with the enhanced settings and seeing how much different characters can take on.

I'm bored but once I get home from work and get to play... Oh, you said with the game with regards to I16.

No, I discovered that /earth assault doms are fun.

I have more reason to play than ever. Now if I could only find the time to play.

So much to do. Wanna try new settings on at least 4 alts.

You haven't seen flames until you post on the WoW or CO forums. We're sunshine and lollipops compared to them.

I made one, i think its okay. While new power sets are always a nice change, i was referring more in terms of content. I have a ton of alts, most of which are at level 50. I have 3 accounts, but for the last 4-5 months have only been keeping 1 active. While i do enjoy trying out the new sets, i typically have to pair it with a primary or secondary that i have already used.

A couple of months ago, i tried a reboot of sorts, i moved to a more populated server (freedom) where i did not really know anyone, and started from scratch. I thought maybe meeting new people in game would help in terms of interest, and played some new sets which did hold my interest for a bit. Now, i'm starting to feel the repetition. I have done all the TF's, i did my fair share of AE (both story driven arcs, and farming), i was in a PVP SG in the Champion server for a few years, so i had my fill of that too. I guess i'm running out of things to do. I would like to see some challenges that can grasp that interest again. Sort of like Hami, or the hydra trial etc. Maybe for me the game just has lost its shelf life with me. Unfortunately i like it better than everything else out there (MMO's i mean).

Try some of the Dev Choice arcs, or whatever they're called. I've played quite a few and have enjoyed them all.

If you're really bored, there's nothing wrong with taking a break. Do something else for a while - that's usually all I need to get reenergized and start enjoying the game again.

For me, the worst thing I can do is make myself stick with something I find boring, whether it's a book, a game, a TV show, whatever. That just makes me dislike it. Coming back after an absence really makes me appreciate some things more - or find out for sure they're not for me. I picked up and put down the book On Hundred Years of Solitude a dozen times before I actually got beyond the first 100 pages. My friends started calling it "One Hundred Years to Read This Book." But the last time I started it, I really enjoyed it and now it's one of my favorite books. All those false starts were just the wrong time for me to enjoy it. Earlier this year I took a few months off from CoH and played another MMO and some single-player games. The way things worked in those games gave me a much stronger apprciation for CoH and how amazing it really is.

It sounds like you need to take a break from playing which is pretty typical of normal people.

Eventually it makes sense that someone would play enough that even a new mission, arc, zone would just be the same but different. I think that is simply burnout.

I'd recommend something completely different for a while like an RTS perhaps.

If I get burned out I plan to return to Roller Coaster Tycoon. In fact there are times I wish I would get sick of this game so I would play RCT.

Bored? Not at all.

Annoyed at the broken drop rates, decreased performance and increase in bugs?

Yes.

Be well, people of CoH.

No flames so far! Just replies.

I'm not bored, but I admit I'm not the standard model for a gamer these days. I play games in which the rules haven't changed for hundreds of years, like chess. They haven't got a new map for that one either.

A look at bored.com might be enough to give you some second thoughts. Some games listed there:

Cannon Blaster 2 (And you're still the squishy)
Ninja ("Use your ninja skills to dominate your opponents, be wise, and be weary", i.e., get some end-reds)
Pyro 2 (A fire/kin's dream)
Warbringers (The world of... the other guys)
Gravitee 2 (Complete with a space travel pool power)

And...

There's Only One Level (That's right, 1. Now, that's boredom!)

I've been having more fun playing my Controller, with her golden light effects, than I ever really did before.

To me I16's just an Issue though, you know? I'm not doing anything different than I was before. I'm enjoying the way the new power customization looks, but I think the other reason I'm having so much fun with my Controller is she just got her Phantasm. Although the Phantasm being gold is cool. And there's the fact that he follows me out of missions and around the outside zones.

Did regular radio missions on a low 20s team last night on what I thought were moderate settings (+2 / 6 on a team of 4). We had a couple team wipes and multiple near-team wipes. So while I do wish they would introduce new villain groups and mission content, I believe that the challenge is definitely there.

Also, not that I consider them "fun", but if you've put off running the lower level TF's because they were such a PITA, they are now MUCH better with the new SSK settings. Just having Stamina for Posi was great, and all the melee sets will have their status protection powers (assuming you are running them at 20+). Plus you still get XP even when you are exemp'ed.

That is actually one thing i haven't done. I did all my TFs before the SK change. I can definetely see something like POSI being less grueling, but its still nonetheless, the same TF. Maybe a break is a good idea. Just stinks that i have the free time to play :P.

Not bored. I'm soloing the Positron TF for the first time. I've gotten 4 bars of xp on my level 47 doing this, and I'm doing the last mission right now.
