The "improvement" was that all the enemies were catgirls.
You haven't known true fear until you have seen "Neko as BaB". (one of my teamies informed me that "neko" is japanese for "cat").
<shudder>
If I stayed in the game after that mission, I think I'll be here for a while...
I think it depends. In the 30 minutes it takes me to make 540 tickets solo, I can make 90m on the market over 3 days. That's no an exaggeration or approximation, I limit myself to 10 minutes a day on the market so I can enjoy playing the game and turn over about 30m a day in profit.
I'd have to be looking at around 2m before I'd put a group together for many AE runs. I'd have to need several of whatever the 2m item was. In the long term, 540 tickets is 9 bronze rolls, which is likely to net you more than 1-2m when crafted and sold. You'd probably do better to pay for the item and spend the tickets on recipes, then craft and sell the results to recoup the infamy. |
Many players can run x8 teams now and generate 540 tickets in much, much less than 30 minutes. Because of that, rare salvage is unlikely to rise much above 1-2 million again. If it does, farming tickets in AE becomes viable way to generate influence, which will motivate people to do it, which will reduce prices until a stable equilibrium is reached again.
Of course, all that economic theory depends on rational and informed markets. And the last few years in the real world have demonstrated how silly that notion is .
Common and uncommon salvage seem to be coming back down to pre-AE levels already. Makes sense if recipe drop rates are down, and salvage rates are the same as they ever were. And of course, when people were AE farming, most were using their tickets on recipes, not salvage.

I'm surprised the costume piece salvage market hasn't gone crazy. From what I've seen, prices have roughly doubled, but that's nothing. A big part of I16 involves costumes, and everyone who remembers the old wing prices knows how much people are willing to spend on costume stuff. Sure, there will be lots of costume salvage available in a month or so, but how many players have that kind of patience? In the short term, there is no way to generate new supplies. I suppose people still have stockpiles in their bases, but the base items don't hold as much as they used to.

instant give away of 2 5 slots purps lines, aka apo and watava.
Just answer 1 st.

The only thing I've noticed is that a lot of common salvage has dropped in price drastically. Haven't seen much change in uncommon salvage.
Of course some items, like Alchemical Silver, are still vastly overpriced but that may be due in part to all the people playing new lowbie characters right now.
I have noticed a lot of set enhancements being sold for less than the cost of materials (at current prices) and crafting. The price of purples has dropped by about a third in the few cases where I knew the price well beforehand.

On a side and perhaps unrelated note it is once again bringing the casual players who can't afford to purple out their warshades to the market forum to whine.

I haven't done much marketeering (too busy playing with customization), but I have noticed somewhat of a return to the previous status quo- high level commons = trash, low level commons = bux. Or at least Luck Charms and Spell Scrolls- I've been running some lowbie MA arcs on my blaster (gotta be 20 for Doc Delilah, one level to go) and blowing all the tickets on arcane common salvage. I've been listing the luck charms for 100,001 and they all sell. Spell Scrolls are nearly as volatile.
The collapse of uncommons was totally predictable.
Has anyone checked out the price of rares?

The most I've seen any rare go for in a sustained way is around 2M, though. That's not been exhaustive investigation, though, just what I see while buying or selling them for my own needs.

Recipe rates have been pretty much the same, which is yet more proof drops are wrong.
Salvage has been coming down slower than expected and fluctuate wildly. It may be that more people have learned that they are not that lucrative a use of slots.
A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!
It's still slowly rising, as it has been since the collapse of things like "meow" farms in the AE.

My SG and I were monitoring WW all day yesterday and we noticed an upward trend to prices to all Salvage.
rares, which were good for 1mill started going to 2mil within minutes of our review.
Overall I am not hopeful that the market will drop.
