Now that we can customize our power's colors and animations and our level difficulty AND even our team size (!!!)..... what's left to do now?

Power SOUND customization!

open up the game for both sides[heroes can go to rogue isles as a hero and villains to paragon city as a villain]removing the blue walls[aka war walls and making them invinsible]making the loading screens alot more shorter ,its just the first things that came to my mind when i first tried the game on trial.

I would guess, rather unimaginatively:

New ways to advance our existing characters.
New regions to explore outside of Rhode Island.
Refinements to the existing game (perhaps even costume jetpacks?).
Revamps to existing zones (*cough Shard cough*).
More powersets.
Moving powersets to ATs that don't have them yet.
More TFs, maybe even more Hamidon-level menaces.

But the devs probably have big themes for subsequent issues that might include some of the obvious stuff above, but I can't imagine what they'll come up with.

Well, duh. This has already been mentioned as the next thing and likely very soon.

But other than that? I think more story advancement is what we need. Power customization gave us one of the most requested things in the history of the game, and I'm very grateful for it.

The next thing I want is some more plot, and perhaps some more endgame content. Even this has been talked about as "in the pipeline" though.

I haven't been on a Reichsman T/SF yet, but I understand it did a good job of making you want different ATs on your team. I'd like to see more of that.

We're at a point where we can make an incredible challenge for soloing (+4/x8 spawns), but I want to see something that's incredibly challenging for teams now. This kind of goes with my last point. I'd like to see something where a superteam of 8 controllers or 8 corruptors would have a tough time, but a well balanced team would do well.

I know the game wasn't made more difficult with the advent of IO's, but I'd like to see some of it become more difficult. Something that expects or even requires IO's to be able to complete.

I want my powers to play various parts of the benny hill theme song, so that when I use my attack chain I get to hear the whole thing.

I want the ability to choose Point-of-Origin for powers (eyes, hands, feet, mouth/face, chest, etc.) and also choose new "casting" emotes like:

Thunder Kick animation for Flares
Cobra Strike animation for Fire blast
Storm Kick animation for Fireball
Crane Kick animation for Blaze
Dragon Tail animation for Combustion

... My "Firebender" Homage must see the light of day!

Well, I wouldn't be surprised to see a brand new schwanky type of enhancement.

An enhancement without levels! No matter what your level is or what you're EX'd or SK'ed to, its enhancement values scale perfectly to whatever is a good amount for that level! Make a full set of these, and you'll never have to worry about losing your set bonuses while exemping, cause the level of the enhancement follows you down!

Heck, make them even fancier and make it so one character can redeem merits for some of these, but one of your lower level characters can then pick them up!

Fancyyyyyyy!

Nemesis system. Yes, I know CO has it (so call it an Archenemy system, then), but we've been asking for it forever, and while Architect can simulate it to an extent, I'd be looking for something to work OUTSIDE the AE building.

And space zones.

Next up should be a used car lot thrown into King's Row. (and one in Port Oakes or St Martial) With a NPC car salesman with a contact ring around his feet, but no dialog or popup when you click on them.
Not to introduce vehicles into the game, but to introduce wild speculation until the next issue, when the car lot is removed.
