No, you need to relearn it yourself

Sorry, I missed the discussion. I was busy destroying portions of Paragon City and robbing the bank. Where were we at?

total kick to the gut

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.

(To be fair, pre-GR villains are unable avoid that fate. But if we want to wander down that particular avenue, I'm game. ^_^)

So.

Heroes.

How's the Boomtown reconstruction going?
No? Nothing? Not even a little?
Only asking since, well, it has been seven years now. And there are, you know, thousands of you. Just in that one city. Thought you might have been helping sort that little mess out.

Still, I'm sure you'll have cleared out Astoria by now. Got rid of all those nasty possessed corpses and such. Brought back the inhabitants.....no? Still the same? Ah.

In any case, I bet you wiped out that insidious Devouring Earth infestation of Woodvale...sorry...'Eden' long ago, right? Right?

Huh. Um, Eastgate? No? Still crater-esque?

Perez! Probably full of happy families enjoying the wonders of nature, elderly people playing chess, childr.....no change at all?

Hmmmm. Faultline? Oh? Some progress? Well done!
Yes, with those quaint little buildings and giant novelty doughnut you hardly even notice that huge, deep, chasm.

Never mind. I'm sure everything will get better. Eventually.

You need to take that up with city planning and the various construction companies, not the heroes.

I think the people at MAGI can answer that question for you. I don't deal in magic.

That'll be Parks and Open Spaces. Third on your left at City Hall.

Didn't you talk to the Parks & Open Spaces people yet?

You must not hear very well. That's City Planning. 2 doors down from the Parks & Open Spaces department in city hall.

Now, if you want a HERO, we're down at the Police HQ, filling out yet another stupid arrest report and trying not to get sued by some jerkoff crook with a glass jaw.

****** beauracracy!

We don't have that problem. At least, as far as I know. Nobody as yet plucked up the courage to sue me.

I'm not familiar with that one. I was thinking of the one where you get sent to bust 3 guys out and before those three you have to help Jenkins, again.

((It was a sarcastic jab at the heroes' old comments that Frostfire had to have an excellent lawyer, since they could (and often did) 'arrest' him multiple times per day, back when the Hollows were crowded and new.))

I have one more for the heroes.
Dear Heroes:
How many missions do you have to do for your contacts before they trust you with thier cell phone number? Not even thier home phone, just thier cell? Ours are more trusting, knowing that only in rare instances (Ha! Willy Wheeler!) do we betray them.
And how often do they not know what's going on in thier own (zones)nieghborhoods, relying on contacts in OTHER nieghborhoods (zones) to send in heroes?

So tell me Heroes, how many time have you actually been to the Isles?

Cause you can't win the fight against us villains without actually coming to get us.

You know the same way we travel to Paragon to wreak havoc, without traveling to the Isles and making arrests it's just talk.

Oh and as for Lamebow, I've killed thousands of them, please stop sending them over the bloodstains are starting to set and I can't properly clean them because new ones keep getting made.

You misunderstand their motive. The villain contacts are lonely and desperate for anyone to talk to. THAT is why they hand out their phone number so fast.

Actually the true motive is that they are ALL undercover agents working for us heroes. What self respecting villain would give out his/her/its number to any fool that does a single task? :P

The undercover agent makes you think your doing dasterdly evil deeds, sends you over to our city paragon where you then get ambushed by us heroes! You get sent to the zig and in the words of mr sontana . . . . "the house always wins".
