The tool appears to be off. I tried Friday Feb 12 and again today Feb 13 on two seperate accounts with no luck.
On the tool it says the copy is processing could be up to 30 minutes. The transfer never takes place, and I am positive I have enough room on testserver 02 for the transfers.
When I go back into the tool 2 hours later it no longer says copy in progress. Can we please reset it?
Same problem with the transfer, it's the whole week I'm trying to charcopy one of my heroes but it didn't work. Hope they fix it soon.

The new tool looks slick, but now I can only copy characters from 1 of 4 of my households accounts--and guess what, it isn't the one I play on.
Rather than place the onus on the subscriber to make 3 additional forum accounts which would never be used, could you just get the team to fix the tool? I mean it worked just fine before the "upgrade".
Not working for me either. I tried twice on two characters. I tried the 2nd time after the waiting a day on the 1st. There isn't room for ALL of the characters if BOTH take (only did the 2nd because I assumed the first failed for some reason). I had three open slots. Hope that doesn't' complicate things.
Stupid question but is the free transfer to test OFF for now?

I have been trying for four days and it will not go through. I hope this will be fixed soon, i want to try the new content.
I'm having the same problem as everyone else it seems, i try to copy a character over and it wont, i know i have the room, trying to copy only to and i have only 3 on the test server.
I am also unable to copy characters over. I deleted the two characters I had there, so I know space isn't an issue. I've tried multiple times over the past two days and none of my characters show up.
I saw something earlier in this thread where one of the developers had to restart the tool to fix a similar problem. Maybe it's time to restart it again?
I thought I'd transfer my new respeced 50's to the training room, but it's been almost 2 hours now, and my transfered characters are no where to be seen. I have plenty of open spots for the 3 characters I asked to transfer. Anyone else experiencing really slow transfer times? Usually it's done within minutes.
It's the weekend. Copy tool won't get restarted until Monday, most likely.

No, Cende is saying that because the tool decided to stop working over the weekend, it won't be restarted until Monday, because there's nobody there to restart it.
As long as the tool doesn't decide to stop working, you can copy characters any day, any time, as long as your account is active.

No luck with char copy so far. Been trying to copy over one of my villians to see what the archtypes are like, and it says 'in progress' for 30+ mins but doesn't copy her over. Tried several times this weekend - my guess is que is swamped with open beta applicants 
No, the tool is currently down and not working. It needs to be restarted, which should happen sometime Monday morning PST.

Yes, it's not working again, and I've found this out *after* I deleted the 50 blaster I wanted to test.
I am unable to copy characters over to test, is it broken again or just me?
8/10/2010 - No characters from any server are transfering to GR Beta Test Server... I have tried so many times I have lost count...
I cant get the copy tool to work for the Justice server? Is there a reason it is down. Freedom and Virtue both work for me but I have toons on Justice I need to copy over.
The Transfer Tool went down about a week and a half ago, when they did that 12 hour maint, and the forums went wonky. Hasn't been working since. Even though Freedom and Virtue look like they're working, characters never copy over.
We brought this issue up both here in the Training Room section, and in the Closed Beta section, and it has been ignored. PMs have also been ignored.
No idea when/if they're gonna fix it.
