Advertising Going Rogue

I really really really hope that you guys are planning a media blitz for Going Rogue. I don't just mean on the web either.
Why not start selling Going Rogue T-Shirts now... and have like "Coming Soon" 2009 or 2010 on the back...
Why not Have Best Buy put up posters inside the store, amping people up.

I, personally, started playing this game anticipating CoV coming out. I got the game a few months in advance so that I could get a good feal for the controls, and wouldnt be a complete newbie when CoV came out.

I hope we can see a Going Rogue commercial at the movie theaters before some upcoming super movie. I think you should mysteriously "leak" pictures from the Going Rogue new zones to the Interweb... and start some early hype.
Maybe show us some pics of the graphics upgrades.

People have been howling for CoH-related stuff for ages - but I agree with you, P_P. T-shirts with Desdemona and/or Maelstrom on the front, with GOING ROGUE - 2009 or something on the back, would be quite cool. (I can just imagine the looks I'd get at work wearing the Desdemona t-shirt.)

This is definitely the opportunity for a major media blitz - is any superhero-ish/action movie coming out between now and November that you could put the "GR" CGI trailer on? We see ads all the time now for various and sundry video games - COH should join the pack.

Everyplace I go on the web I am accosted by game advertising, for a game I don't even like I would really really really like to start seeing some "Coming Soon" "Going Rogue" "2009" ads.

I think it's that there aren't enough details yet to make advertising worth it. Once you can direct players to a website with a feature list, screenshots, and other tidbits, then I think it becomes worthwhile.

I still wish they'd do the oft requested Rikti monkey plushie.

How about a Hamidon stress-reliever? They could make it out of that clear rubber stuff and you can beat the bejesus out of it.

On the front of the shirt having a character in his "good form", then on the back have them gone rogue.

As other games have shown, it is never to early to start advertising.
Stargate Worlds started advertising their game like 5 years ago >.>
And is still not out yet >.<

It would be fantastic if they advertised Going Rogue. And not some half-attempt in a magazine. I mean the full whammy, posters, TV ads etc. Do that, and we could expect alot more new people around.

And if/WHEN they make a t-shirt for GR i'll be wearing one all the time :P

Don't think so. But a TV Ad would be great. As far as i can think of, it's probably the best form of advertising. And if there would be a TV ad, it better be a good one! :P

Well, for a more targeted demographic, comic book and superhero fans, there is Superman/Batman: Public Enemies DVD from DC and Planet Hulk DVD from Marvel coming out soon.

How many games/movies/music/books have t-shirts that say "coming soon"? I think they just need to release t-shirts with different hero and villain groups' logo, or dare I say, custom t-shirts that resemble our own heroes and villains logos and chest pieces.
