Game Pet Peeve:
Really really really bad costumes. on people who think their costume is great. I mean WAYYYYY past subjective and more into "Are you frak'en serious?"
Forum Pet Peeve:
People who feel it necessary to get other people to stop fighting. Seriously, let them fight it out. It is the only way things will get resolved. Plus it provides me entertainment.

I'm not a big role-player or anything, but I do like to create themes in my costumes. I have another toon whose costumes are all based on characters from Stanley Kubric movies. Why? No idea. The character has really nothing to do with Kubric. Only a handful of people have ever caught on, and then only when I'm using the obvious Clockwork Alex outfit. But the inspiration struck me so i went with it.

People that feel the need to run every toggle they have while spamming heals and such at an auctionhouse.

I do turn off things like hotfeet, not because of lag but because running through a zone with an aoe or pbaoe power on is just retarded.
A few weeks ago someone rudely messaged me and "told" me to turn off my frackin super speed that I was lagging them out. I kindly turned on every toggle I had and told them to rudely go /wrists for not having a decent computer and connection. Normally my reaction if asked nicely would have been much more helpful.
TLDR version....realize that a HUGE percentage of people that play this game are playing on highend pc's with awesome connections and are not intentionally trying to lag anyone out.

I fall into this catgegory (unless they monkey around with the servers or Windows has an update that bugs me until I patch it), however, at one time I didn't and it did affect me sometimes. I'm sure you're correct, however, its still a pet peeve.

I think you would be surprised at how average your assumed HUGE is.
And now you know how life is for most males on the internet . . . .
Auto heal I can agree with 100%. However call me insensitive but I don't have lag issues at all, so why should or would I think to turn off my other toggles while shopping? SJ, SS, stealth and acro are always on. If I am playing something with shields, they will be on.

This is a 2 part pet peeve that makes sense to me and maybe makes sense to someone else.
1) My personal pet peeve are the people that waste time sending Congratulations! or Gratz! or Grats! or some other form of the same thing during combat instead of waiting, like if they don't tell you as soon as you ding, something bad will happen or they will die.
2) Are the people that say it on either lowbie teams every 2 minutes and seeing it several times a ding or well rounded teams full of decent players(ymmv) just rolling through missions and seeing it still coming from everyone in team in some kind of sick race to tell me first.
While i'm aware that its "just done to be nice and happy for the other player" and has been so for the entire history of the game, you get to say...lv20 so fast its meaningless and a waste of time, particularly while in combat. At this point i simply tell the team when joining i'm happy that they ding if it happens, and wont be wasting anymore time on telling them.
however i'm not above putting a Grats out there for anyone 45-50 because im quite aware of how long that takes unless its someone on a farm, in which case most times they get nothing. If this is somehow rude or mean, well its not intended that way but thats the way i handle it.

AE noobs thinking they can boss me around because they know everything, but guess what? I know every zone.. We'll see which one gets to Steel Canyon faster.

Flame wars.
People who complain they can't find teams but refuse to put a team together.
People who don't invite me to their teams. (bunch of elitists)
PST. Damn if everything interesting isn't already over by the time I get on to play.
People who call my crappy costumes a pile of crap. I know I suck at building characters. That's why I have to have my kids do it for me.
And as an aside, I did find it hilarious that a flame war broke out in a thread about etiquette.
Oh, couldn't see that one coming, could we.

Oh, and people who don't understand the concept of role playing and think everything your character says is really happening.
Them: "Is that really true?"
Me: *sigh* "In the game, yes."

People that join a TF, give some BS excuse, and log off after a couple of missions. Discconect, fine. Have to go to the hospital, fine. Your daughters blow a fuse running too many hair dryers at once (My personal favorite ), fine.
But if you are just leaving, then quit the team, because you certainly don't deserve the reward at the end.
