Just downloaded a nice 80.1 MB patch...can't login but...no email either...then again, I haven't received emails from NcSoft in a while

I'm confused now. Is the server getting a fix for a bug that only let the closed beta testers in, or are they patching in a new feature that lets only closed beta testers into the character creator and beyond?

eh if it is that only closed beta testers can even log in...kinda lame.
Ah well, at this stage I seriously doubt any amount of moaning would help...but seriously, if people at the Comic-con could waltz upto machines, film the animations (and make us so happy that Punch and Haymaker are getting different animations *hugs Zek*) I really don't see the point in only having closed beta tests be able to fiddle about with the power customisation...
I just hope people don't get too upset over this.

Well I'm upset, 'cause the reason I resubbed was centered around beta. I figured I'd get to at least login to character creator when it came out. But I guess It's my fault for assuming they'd run closed beta the same way they have for a long time?

Even so, this whole issue is centered around the character creator. What would be the point of a closed beta if you could see everything anyway?
EDIT: It's been confirmed that you can't play with the character creator if you haven't been invited. Oh well, that's the whole thing they're testing anyway! Closed beta people can't tell you that they're in the closed beta and can't give any information out because of how buggy things could be. By letting anyone play with the new character creator, it would defeat the purpose of a closed beta.
So go somewhere else with your Dev Defender Nerdrage.

I cant wait to get home and check my email. I had been in every closed beta except the most recent one, so maybe I fell off the favorable list.
Oh well. I'll have to see when I go home. *sniffles* Am I catching cold? Hmm. 
On the other hand, if I don't get in, I DO have the goal currently to get my Fire/Elec Dom to 50 before I16 (he is 43 currently). So, if I'm not in Beta, I'll do that.
