Someone, fairly recently, got into a discussion with some other guy about a thing. Yes, I'm being vague. In any case, the OP responded with something along the lines of, "That's it, you're all being a bunch of right plural-c-word!"
There was dead silence for a while, and then some braver folks said, more or less, "Holy crap! That's not even censored?!" To which the OP said something to the effect of, "Is that a bad word over there? My postman and I call each other that all the time!"
Ah, differences in language. I also enjoy hearing everyone "over there" discuss a certain f-word as meaning, apparently, front lady parts? "Over here" it is rather a silly little nonsense word for the hindquarters, along the lines of "bum-bum-wiggles" or "happy-sparkle-butts."
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. In some games few common words of my language are censored and I have no idea why. There's games where I can't say "yes" or "man" in private chat to my friends with my own language. Its so annoying. Thanks for coh/cov they are not censored in this game

But now Im trying to remember. I have feeling like word "mies" was bad word when I started to play this game. It was so odd. I said to my friend something like "hi man" in finnish and get like "hi <bleep>". That was so stunning moment. "What the....??? I just said <bleep> What! <bleep> is bad word?" And "joo" (yes) is bad word in some other game. Cool I can't talk normally with my friends
And if moderators want to remove my "bad" words. I want to know why.

Either that or he's beginning to lose his memeory already and telling people is just a way to help ensure that someone else remembers.

Actually... By fortunate happenstance, my 40th coincides (almost) with my 10th wedding anniversary too.

We started going out on the 29th. I popped the question on a later 29th. My birthday is the 29th. Alas, other committments meant we couldn't MARRY on the 29th, so we ended up marrying on the 6th instead, so Guy Fawkes helps me remember.

I am very glad to have us all in the same boat I am also glad they do have filters in this forum and game. That F word that is used as a slur in america and elsewhere against homosexuals is a word i see too much of in the game and elsewhere in the world of media and real life. It may have different meanings elsewhere but I only see it as a sign of hate and bigotry. I understand it has different meanings in other countries and that is fine and well but I will gladly do with some censored words on this side that may seem normal if everyone else is. The bridge we now have rocks.

The F-word that's an informal synonym for 'cigarette' in the UK? When i used to smoke, I'd take devilish delight in telling my PuG members on Freedom that I was having a short break to 'go and smoke a f-g. BRB' - combined with the US informal definition of 'to smoke sb', I'm sure it caused some raised eyebrows.

Quite why the Americans felt the need to turn this into a derogatory term for homosexual and/or effeminate men I is something I probably don't want to know. Among many other things.

but it's good enough to back up my facetiously throwing the blame back to the Brits
As a side note, the hilarious thing I saw on the origin of the word is the claim that back when they were burning witches in Europe, gay men were thrown on the flames when they ran out of wood. The idea of them doing that is not funny, but the fact that some people seem to actually believe this tale is.

I think a good place to start would be with the word filter. We have many many words in use over here that are perfectly harmless, yet are filtered due to an alternate meaning in the US. It's often been a bone of contention in the past as we're unable to use our native tongue in the way we're accostomed.
