NPC,s in bases
Bases, unlike places like Atlas, etc, are not permanant. As in, they get created when a player goes into the base. Like mission maps. I would imagine that doing something like that would take a lot of work.

None whatsoever.... This is managable. And would be rather cool. NPC's like you suggest are animated objects. And we have animated furniture objects too.

Sounds like a good idea. You can design your own npcs in MA with their own text etc. Those missions are instanced, bases could be the same.

Loads have suggested it, and I was one myself. and I still like the idea of it. I'd imagine with the Critter Creator, such a thing is not imposible. Perhaps with a size limit again? Iunno.

Even if it was just "random" scientists walking around doing science'y stuff it'd still be cool, but your suggestion is basically just another furniture, a fixed position thingy looking like an NPC. The only new thing would be that this "furniture" might talk. Definitely doable, if you treat it like a "furniture".
I would also like the ability to unlock (after some difficult task and not so easily attainable) Trainer type npcs or facilities. but i still like decorative NPC's with text

My base has several places that look like they SHOULD have npcs in, but don't. I'd love a receptionist, inventory clerk, cook, doctor, engineer etc.
Oh.. and when they do that.. please resise the furniture so the NPC's would actually fit in them. Thoise chairs are huge!

Base NPCs would be awesome. Especially if you could script dialogue for them.

I don,t know it this has been brought up before if it has I will apologise now.I was thinking to myself last night about the possibility of have npc,s in the base ie.as you enter the base you could have an npc asking you for identification,or at the power room warning you of the risk of injury,or a doctor asking what your injury,s are when you tp back to base after face planting in a misson, think that gives you a general idea of what I mean,this a good idea or should I keep these thought to myself and keep taking the medication.
