Entry 1:
It's all gone to hell, things used to be simple enough, aim the gun, pull the trigger. Not anymore, having coped with the FBSA for so long its time that I branch off and get away from the manipulation and false truths, I'm recruiting my old squad again, this time, we're doing things the old fashioned way.

The government have accepted the agreement to me setting up my own operation, under their watch, I'll do my job as I did before, but how I like it, less regulations and best of all, I choose what to do, what assignments to take and what I do with the funding, I guess the FBSA will no doubt keep their eye on me, but hopefully they wont get in the way too much.
Entry 4:
Everything's coming together, the former Marines Black Ops I worked with have transferred to my operation, I'll be seeing Cutter, Sabre, Switch, Cobra, Viper and Phoenix soon enough. In other news, Bex has decided the theme of the day is unfaithfulness, and with a hot headed merc at that, good riddance... she was just doing another social experiment anyway.

Christmas party went better than I expected, alot of friendly faces, security was tight in case of gatecrashers, Tanis was more than pleased to hear of me going back to my soldiering ways, and she looked good, very good. I even got lucky, but nothing committed, never is, guess thats how it is.

Normal patrol it seemed, until I uncovered a praetorian plot to recruit people into fighting for them, so I infiltrated their ranks and shut it down from the inside, Maelstrom was leading the whole thing, after I dealt with that I had heroes help me with the bomb plots in the sewers, Mary was there... and not exactly pleased about having to go through the sewers, I'll make it up to her.

I'm on a medical bed right now, want to know why? because hitting on Mary eventually leads to you getting stabbed at the worst time possible, you know what I mean, we hooked up and she lost control of her powers, next thing I knew I've been skewered in the gut, lucky me huh? Cutter will fix this, the physical damage anyway.

Word got out about what happened, I knew it couldn't stay a secret for long, but in less than 24 hours it was out. Bex made her passive aggressive judgements about it again, but who's she to lecture me about hitting the sack with anybody? after what she's done it's probably to make herself seem a better person, besides, Tanis thought it was funny, and was sorta encouraging about it. Wish I knew her a little better, she's alright in my books.

Hello Everyone!
Now as some of you may know there is going to be a grand Vanity Fair hosted by Q! Until that is actually started we need footage and screenshots for vanity fair media, so heres where you come in, I'm hosting a Renaissance Costume Party for any character to attend, there will be prizes for the best three costumes, a large base of social interaction and of course food and drinks provided.
The event is taking place at the MIDNIGHTER CLUB* on Friday the 7th of October 6pm (GMT). Now, as you all know, the midnighter club isn't as easily accessed as other areas, though anybody with the 'Midnight Squad' badge at any level will have access, hero or villain! All are invited to attend, regardless of morality, but this events a strict dress code of Renaissance themed clothing, though the details are up to you!

Be it steam powered robots or gear headed engineers, you have the chance to show your creative talent Saturday the 14th at 7:00pm British time. I see a good powerset lingering around in the mastermind sets, Poison of course, its not used often so I think it should be placed for corruptors too, to componsate for the lack of force fields.
Also, a poison blast set would be a nice replacement for the other lacking power, psychic blast which corruptors dont have either and add a powerset which is just poison damage. The poison blast could have a DoT effect on certain powers and others that effect defense, speed or resistance. -

I like what you did to the suggestion, better than my previous thread in terms of detail buy i think the new powers are too alike to thier current powers such as melee's and aura's.

Sure, The main idea was that if heroes had all these powerset options, villains should have more. The Inferno/Frost/Mental/Sonic/Claw mastery powersets would follow the same theme of powers that are given in the current patron powers (see on paragon wiki).
The other powersets would be based on the above, only using powers that the NPC's have along with some newly created ones that would form a match, although it will be difficult to create. It is hard to go into detail because that would complicate things. But all of sets have been based on ancillary powersets apart from Claw Dart, Wind and Gadgetry.
Claw Dart has been based on all the powers from Thorny/Claws/Widow.
Wind is storm summoning as single target powers along with force field like powers.
Gagetry is based on Viridians Powers along with some powers from Devices.
Sorry if it isnt much help but alot of the powers are available on paragon wiki and explaining the ones that do not exist would confuse thing further -
Basically i dont like the idea of having only 4 epic powersets villainside, I'd like to expand it so that each patron gives 3 types of powersets (including thier current one) that would suit the patrons and give villain player a wider variety by using the four patrons other abilities or thier allies abilities as powersets. (NOTE: you will still summon the same pets as the first patron sets)
GHOST WIDOW'S
Ghost widow can also teach you some of her fortunata training techniques:
Mental Mastery - This powerset gives powers all psychic based powersets along with willpower
Claw Dart Mastery - This poweset gives powers from the claws, spines and thorny mastery and the powers used by widows in the form of the widow claws weaponry
SCIROCCO'S
Scirocco can also teach you the powers of the four winds:
Wind Mastery - powers from storm summoning and and some other types of powers asociated with storms with scirocco's colour tint to his powers
Frost Mastery - Powers from all ice based powersets but wont repeat powers from the leviathan mastery
BLACK SCORPION'S
Black Scorpion can also teach you some device based abilities:
Gadget Mastery - Gives powers from devices and traps along with some used by the Knives of Artemis
Inferno Mastery - Gives powers from all fire based powersets
CAPTAIN MAKO'S
Captain Mako can also teach you some abilities from the seas:
Sonic Mastery - powers from sonic blast/resonance and some other shout like powers
Weapon Mastery - powers from the hero weapon mastery along with some other throwing weapons and super reflex like armours -
I had the idea that if patron/ancillary power pools have a fifth power, how about ones for the normal power pools? I have some idea's:
Concealment: Stealth Aura (toggle PBAoE stealth)
Fighting: Slam (high damage smashing knockup)
Fitness: Grizzled (Auto Defense to cold, toxic and psi)
Flight: levitate (toggle Foe Sleep with no damage, they will levitate until attacked)
Leadership: Bravery (toggle PBAoE speed, defence and ToHit boost)
Leaping: landing (auto reduction in fall damage)
Medicine: Triage (click PBAoE regeneration boost)
Presence: Mocking Remark (foe ToHit decrease)
Speed: Charge (Teleport to targeted foe smashing knockback)
Teleportation: Change Dimension (Single foe intanglible) -

I'm having a strange glitch where alot of my contacts, mainly the ones in grandville, are not giving me missions because they are saying I'm full even though I have either 1 active paper mission or none at all.
This started when I picked Ghost Widow as my patron, I was locked out of my current contacts for no reason. I've bug reported and petitioned, and i cant verify my files for some reason.
is there anyone who can help me please? -
Basically, In a future issue I suggest we implement the option to change fire/ice melee with the option to make the sets the ability to have fire/ice swords for every power in the sets with the broad sword and katana powersets animations:
Scorch/Frozen Fists = Parry
Cremate/Freezing Touch = Hack
Fire Breath/Frost = Slice (Projects a wave of fire/ice upon animation)
Incinerate/Ice Patch = Golden Dragonfly
Frozen Aura = Whirling Sword
Also the option to remove swords from the sets with replacement hand to hand powers from super strength:
Fire Sword/Ice Sword = Jab
Greater Fire Sword/Greater Ice Sword = Knockout Blow
Fire Sword Circle = Foot Stomp -
How about a flintlock..wait I hav'nt finished! a flintlock pistol thats clockwork operated, something old fashioned, something like a nemesis sidearm. to be straight its the clockwork pistol from fable 2 (dawww) but I cant find any decent pics. But! I found something similar!

Yesh about the helmet thing, I think he said he was verifying his files and the words Ninja_Helmet.Piggs or something like that came up. The stealth power would be useful if they put an AoE placate and an Ambush-Resistant stealth (tired of getting attacked while "Hidden")
The Devs are so secretive about this one... -
Ive heard rumours that the natural themed super booster coming up is ninja related, a friend told me that in the files was a string that had the word "Ninja_Helmet" and a power that comes with it that grants motionless stealth.
Has anybody got any more information or rumours about this? -
basically a defense set for all melee archetypes, its based around being more feral. This set grants defense to basically ranged attacks, psi and toxic based damage and has some good special boosts.
1) Animal Reflexes (TOGGLE: +Def ranged, AoE, slow)
You are more in tune with your animal side to enable yourself to have the reflexes that most predators have, you are able to dodge incoming attacks an debuffs
(Animation is the backflip emote)
2) Enhanced Sensing (TOGGLE: + ACC, Perception and toHit, +Def to Debuff)
You can smell, hear and sense your surroundings much easier and be able to evade the lurking dangers by sniffing out stealthy enemies.
(Animation is the Howl emote)
3) Hunters Focus (CLICK: +Res Psi, Toxic, DoT and debuff, Self Heal)
You are able to focus away from the harm done to your body for a brief period of time allowing you to concerntrate on your enemies state and not your own
(Animation is the "look left and right" motion used in heightened senses and danger sense)
4) Wild Agility (CLICK: +Res Disorient, Hold, Sleep, Immobilize, Knockback)
You are able to evade the trapping capabilities that enemies use against you for a short time allowing yourself to be able to escape from status effects
(Animation is the tarzan emote)
5) Overwhealm (TOGGLE: PBAoE enemy -ToHit, Self +DMG, Defense(all), +Special)
When crowded by enemies, you are able to look within your animal side and fight back against them making them suprised of your feral side allowing you to cause more damage and increse your defense
(Animation is the "one handed" roar emote)
6) Animal Agility (AUTO: +Speed, +jump hight, +MaxEnd)
As like many predators, you rely on speed and agility, you are able to move faster, jump higher and have more endurance, this power is alwats on and costs no endurance
7) Feral State (CLICK: +DMG, +ACC, enemy PBAoE fear)
You release your feral side upon your enemies making you stonger and more accurate with your attacks while striking fear into those who surround you
(Animation is the same as "unstoppable" from invulnerability, only with a loud roar audio)
8) Pounce (targeted AoE, superior Smashing/lethal DMG, knockdown)
You can pounce at your enemies headfirst into battle making an impact on enemies around you knocking them down and causing superior damage
(Starting Animation is the same as when you dive into the back of trucks, finishing is the ending of the original Assassins Blow from martial arts)
9) Animalistic Fury (CLICK: +Res(All), Disorient, Sleep, Hold, Immobilize, Knockback, +Recovery)
You are able to allow yourself into a primal state of fury making you highly resistant to all damage types and status effects, although costing little endurance, you will be severly drained of endurance arterwards
(Animation is the same as "Elude" from super reflexes, only with a howl audio) -
Isnt this in cryptics new game that isnt at all, not one bit based on the CoX franchise? although i do agree that characters could have nemesis, only they appear in random missions from time to time, say your doing a paper mission, your nemesis appears randomly in any of them at the enterance ready for you.

I'd like to see certail powers with elemental weapons have more options to choose from...
say like tsoo fire katana's in the fire melee/manipulation sets, or a concrete tipped pole for stone melee/earth assault. the weapons enemies use which we cant...yet.
there could be all sorts available, even the old makeshift novelty items, I have a few ideas:
FIRE WEAPONS:
fire katana
hand torch
signal flare
EARTH WEAPONS
concrete tipped pole
corolax club
caveman rock tip
ICE WEAPONS
Cryo Sabre
Glacier tip axe
Frosted Ice pick -
1) so you can Identify the size and level range of the teams
2) so when you ask someone if they can join thier team, you need not make the mistake of asking one of thier teamates aswell
3) so you can see which players on your friends list have teamed up -
Basically i'd like to see a few things done to teaming and its options, a few of these ideas could be used so players can Identify and Participate in teams much easier.
TEAM LISTS:
In the search for players menu, there should be a ring around a group of players in the search which identifies a team, like all the people in that team are in a box in the search
TEAM LEADER ID:
Basically in the search the player who is the leader has thier name in gold to signiffy they are the leader.
TEAM MERGING:
Two teams who scale up to 8 people should have a merge option, allowing a team of 4 to gain another 2-4 members who are already in a small group. The leader is the one who has thier team running longer.
PREVIOUS TEAM SEARCH:
You can search for what players have been in your team recently after you have quit or the team is disbanded so you can invite those who wish to team again with minimal searching andvname remembering. -
I was thinking of onw for GR called the sharpshooter it would focus on assault and defense with a sort of sniper like theme, like stalkers assassination, sniper attacks will cause double damage when hidden, and the powersets focus on short range attacks and heavy hitting melee attacks.
the primary powerset is like so:
1) small ranged attack
2) close range attack
3) cone attack
4) sniper attack
5) build up
6) placate
7) heavy melee attack
8) heavy short range attack
9) AoE melee attack
the second powerset is basically the stalkers secondary sets including hide. I'm not sure if this will work properly but i thaught it was a good idea -
i have begun to download the training room for I16, but the download bar has moved roughly two fifths of the bar and has slowed at 1:30:00 time left and is going up and down in number while the download bar lurches forward a very small amount over a long amount of time
is there something wrong in any way and is there a way to speed it up and/or resolve it? -

Basically a robotic styled armour set for all melee archetypes, i had this Idea when i bas making a robot themed brute, Willpower shown promise with the psi resistance, but nothing else much. While Energy and electric seemed more technologic, yet the psi resist was lost, so I suggest we make a defense set similar to the basic defense of robotics henchmen including the weakness to EMP as a base part of the set.
the powers of which would include main resistance to Smashing, cold, toxic and psi attacks with some powers giving a bonus to strength and recharge. The powers would consume more endurance than normal armour powers but have a Drain endurance power included with it.
