5th power for Pool sets

Suggested before, not needed, yadda yadda, but i felt like being creative. So, I've made a list of new powers I'd like to see added to the existing pools:

Concealment: Pacify (target click). Like Placate, but watered down numbers-wise. You're so good at hiding that you can convince someone who's looking right at you that you're not there!

Fighting: Combo (click attack, moderate damage). A 1-2 attack that does just a little less damage than boxing and Kick combined, but takes less time to activate than both separately.

Fitness: Strength (Toggle self buff). Focusing on your training, you can hit harder than normal. Doing this eats up endurance, however! (+10% dam for .33 end/sec. Might seem a bit high, but this is in the same pool as Stamina, and you can slot end redux in it, so no problem)

Flight: Bum Rush (Click attack). Target a distant foe (within 100 feet), and click this power. You'll fly towards the foe with amazing speed, hit them, and probably knock them down. Moderate damage, long recharge.

Leadership: Encouragement (toggle team buff). Your abilities as a leader allow you to push your comrades to their limits. This power allows you and your team to move and attack faster, as well as moderately resist effects which would hamper your progress. (Team + self: +5% movement speed, +7.5% recharge, +10% movement debuff resistance)

Leaping: Smash Dive (area attack). Clicking this will bring up the targeting circle. Once placed on the ground, your character will jump to that location with all their might, causing any nearby foes to fall backwards. Deals no (or very little) damage.

Medicine: Experimental Serum (Click ally buff). Much like the "Mystic Fortune" power, this will give a small, random buff to an ally. Might be +dam, +recharge, +defense...

Presence: Recruit (target click Confuse). You are so well known, so feared and respected, that you can convince an enemy to join you, against his or her comrades. The confuse effect doesn't last very long, though, but it may be enough to turn the tide of battle.

Speed: Deft Evasion (toggle). While moving, you are harder to hit. Gives you a healthy defense bonus (up to 20%!), depending on how fast you are currently moving. Holding still is only a 3% def bonus. jogging would be about 5%, running would be about 7.5%, swift would add 3%. Ninja run would be about 10%. Super speed unslotted would be about 15%, and just over 20% at the speed cap. Note that you have to be moving, and not just have a power activated, for this buff to take effect (if the game can keep track of that sort of thing).

Teleportation: ... honestly, i'm torn between a short term defense power (rapidly teleporting to not be hit), an AoE attack (rapidly teleporting to smack foes around), or a AoE foe teleport. So many ways teleporting could be used, so few options actually available, sigh.

Oh, and Crimson demands you play this arc-> Twisted Knives (MA Arc #397769)

I like these additions.

I think people are already "forced" to take kick or boxing. I'm not sure if combo will be appealing. How about a click called Fighting Spirit? It gives you 10 endurance every click with long recharge.

Anything that grants more damage is difficult to pass. Can you think of something less desirable? Also, all the powers in fitness are passives, maybe you can add a passive to follow the design.

The power name sounds good. What are the possible buffs for leadership? Maybe we can have something other than +movement and +recharge.

Maybe I prefer something that is more related to "basic" medicine, as the powers in the pool tend to do some basic things.

Probably a bad idea. I believe people will be perma-moving like running in circles in order to maintain the defense bonus. And also, I think we have enough defense bonus in game.

Actually, that's good. If you suggest any pool powers that are really needed, then it is a bad power pool.

I like what you did to the suggestion, better than my previous thread in terms of detail buy i think the new powers are too alike to thier current powers such as melee's and aura's.

Your pacify description made me laugh so hard, lol.

Anyways, I like all of them except for speed's and flight's. Just to throw my 2 cents in, I'd suggest for speed a power along the line of something like:

"Vibration (click power) - You can vibrate your body so fast that you begin to actually leave this plain of existence. The next few attacks targeted at you will pass right through you. However, staying in this new dimension can be dangerous, so time spent in this state is barred to only 5 secs per activation."
- Think of it as a shorter form phaseshift, with the ability to attack.

For Flight, I'd say: "Sonic Boom - Sometimes sight-seeing just isnt an option. When this power is activated, the hero/villain breaks the sound barrier and begins flying at unprecedent speeds. However, the sudden burst of momentum restricts the hero to only flying in a static direction and also drains them of a considerable amount of endurance in the process. (This is to keep it from being too OP'd from the other T'powers)"

As for Teleportation, simple: "Sudden Strike - This attack transports the hero directly in front of his enemy and delivers a crushing blow. (Of course, the enemy would be a targeted one.)"

Just my 2 cents.

I was thinking of a power like sonic boom, but the main reason flight speed has the cap that it does is that the rendering engine isn't built to propel a player that fast. SS and SJ are faster, but that's because you presumably can't go high enough to see the entire zone then zip across. Your line of sight across the zone is usually restricted by buildings and obstacles, so it's not a strain on the renderer.

If they could get over that, then i'd rather have the short-term super-fast flight =)

Oh, i was always under the impression that it was made that way for balance purposes. Simply so it wouldnt be OP'd of the other t'powers. May be both though, im not sure.

For Teleportation, I'd do the Sudden Strike suggestion.

But I'd give it a few different attack animations, that trigger randomly.

Target Enemy, activate power, teleport to the enemy and do a Storm Kick, Haymaker, Barrage...ect.

It'd be fun to get the chance at a teleport attack power on more than just Shields and ELM.
