I agree wholeheartedly, please make sure Water Blast is *at least* as good as Ice Blast vs fires.

It's a really nice set. I already have it but it's too nice not to share and it'd be nice to see more people using it so i support having it back in the store all year around.

I'm against the removal of Statesman from events that took place before the SSA, and i'm certainly against the removal of the Statesman's Pal badge. That badge means a lot to some of my characters, representing a defining moment in their personal history.
Not to mention Positron's Pal doesn't even make sense. Statesman's Pal is a reference to "Jimmy Olsen, Superman's Pal". Positron is no Superman. -

Here's my energy/energy blaster, aptly named "Mardi Gras"! -
Quote:sweet, thanksYes, they are. There is a functional link in Shadow_State's sig! What you are looking for would likely be the Standard version of the Enhancement Icon Standardization Pack.

Is this still available? I have poor vision and enhancements always screw me up, this seems like a godsend.

You could just roll back the change and let people get their accounts and security questions sorted?
-
-
Roll it back.
-
Nobody likes it, nobody wanted it, it's not helping - take it back.
-
Well, a bunch of people I know are now locked out of their accounts. How about you push this change back a week to let people change their security questions to answers they'll actually remember?

Quote:Nice analogy but I think you forgot to make a point.Let's say, for the sake of argument, that there's an empty lot on the side of the road.
Some enterprising young chap decides it'd be a good place to build a restaurant.
The restaurant gets built, and gradually customers start to come by.
Over time the restaurant gets more and more popular, and becomes a popular neighbourhood hangout. Those new to the area are regularly pointed in its direction as a place to have a good meal, meet people and enjoy themselves.
The builder/owner of the restaurant finds they have to hire new staff members to handle all the customers. Some of the new staff members are liked more than others, but in general, the place works. It remains popular, and the number of people coming in and out continues to grow.
Gradually over subsequent years, the number of people living in the neighbourhood starts to dwindle. But despite the reduced number of residents nearby, the restaurant continues to do business and remains popular. It's open 24/7 - You can never go inside and find it completely quiet or empty.
One day, one of the staff members (with something of a reputation for being rather short-tempered with rowdier customers) is a bit more short than usual. This shortness is noticed by another member of staff and a staff meeting is called. At the staff meeting, the owner and the other members of staff hold a vote to determine what they should do.
The short-tempered staff member hears about the vote, and unbeknownst to the rest of the staff, they change the locks on the doors of the restaurant and declare themselves the new owner. The other members of staff, including the person who originally built the restaurant, are locked out in the cold and told to take a hike.
The customers are naturally somewhat surprised by this turn of events. The "normal" thing to do would be to file a complaint with the local authorities to get the disgruntled staff member forcefully evicted, and give the restaurant back to its rightful owner... but some of the customers think that the member of staff who seized control was right to seize control, and rally against the previous staff members when they attempt to get a petition going to give to law enforcement officials. The original members of staff walk away.
The customers still go along to the restaurant the next day, but find it changed. The atmosphere isn't as easy-going as usual. There is no music playing, there are people arguing loudly in the corner, and there doesn't seem to be anyone in the kitchen or behind the till.
Suddenly a brand new restaurant, complete with an attached bar/grill, opens right across the street... staffed by all the workers who had been kicked out. Customers who venture inside find the food and atmosphere almost identical to that which they had previously enjoyed in the original restaurant.
Customers flock to the new restaurant in droves. Eventually only a few "die-hard" stragglers remain behind in the original restaurant, unwilling to move across the street and arguing that the old place is still just as good as it always was, even though it is now virtually deserted.
The new restaurant quietly takes over as the neighbourhood go-to spot.
...sound familiar to anyone? -
Quote:That would be the people asking others to petition him and get him banned, behaviour which, I might add, has caused *me* to seriously consider quitting the game because it depresses me SO much. But I guess that's only a bad thing if you like the person threatening to quit.noone is trying to force him out of the game, just trying to stick up for what the most us belive is right, due to his actions several people are seriously considering quitting for good. so who was the one forcing people out?
Until people can look at this objectively and see that there is blame on both sides all you're going to have is rabble-rousers causing splits in the community and trying to incite hatred. -
Quote:Agreed. More discussion less bullying pleaseThis should have been sorted out by the people running the channel getting together on a completly private channel and sorting out the problems.Instead it has been done in the open channel where everyone and his dog has had their say.I,m sure that this could still be done if only 1 person was to make the first move,I will not say who should do it but someone must or this bitterness is just going to continue ,and possibly continue to disrupt the normal smooth running of getting teams for TF,s and what ever else people want to do.So I will finish by asking that all the people directly involed get together and sort it out in a mature fashion.Do it on a private channel or PM,s whichever you want but please just do it so we can all get back to playing the game we all enjoy ,and not keep sniping at each other.Over to you.

Shame on you all for trying to force somebody out of the game. It doesn't take much for people's cruelty to surface, it seems. Nobody is saying you have to like Kendai, but there is a big difference between disliking someone and actively working to hurt them and that is what I'm seeing from a lot of the members of the defiant community, an active attempt to personally hurt a person who they feel wronged them.
I'm sure I'll be attacked and labelled a "crony" for trying to stand up for someone, but I strongly believe that trying to hurt a person, in any way, is flat out wrong and I can't watch it silently anymore. You people should be ashamed. -
Quote:we have ways of checking.Unless I'm missing something, how are you going to keep someone from making the character early, killing 25-30, and then parking by the starting contact to be "newly created" when the contest starts?
Gonna put this back a week, to [TBA], to give more people a chance to join up. If there's interest I'll talk to Avatea about running a US version too, I have an inactive US account I could reactivate.
In regards to the server and the date/time, it'll be Union server, Sunday TBA (subject to interest) and roughly 5pm.
edit: Feel free to start putting your names down for the contest now.
edit2: Since there isn't much (any) interest I'm putting the date back to TBA until some interest starts picking up again. Feel free to sign up still. -
Ok, time for a quick tally, to see who's interested for this sunday, at roughly 3pm?
-
Hmm, guess this could use a little bump. If the interest is there I'll be holding this event not next weekend since it's DXP, but the weekend after, likely on sunday afternoon depending on how that is for people.

Can't actually observe without making a new character, the Outbreak accessed via Ouroboros is a mission rather than the actual zone.
And in regards to the actual contest, should specify whether levelling to 2 is allowed or would bring disqualification. By completing Coyote's mission but not returning to him, you can fight the Contaminated as -1s rather than even-cons, which is the faster way of getting Isolator.

I would say all players have to start fresh from the creator, and then can choose to do the missions to level up to 2 or just kill straight off. Would be a challenge to decide whether to take the enh's, insps and level for an advantage over the extra time it takes.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, the characters have to be fresh for the contest, (we'll be checking) and while I like the idea of letting people do the missions during the race for the level boost, there's no way we can check on temp power use while they're in the mission, so I guess that'd be a no. Fun idea though.

I guess using Ouroboros wouldn't count?

Sorry GG, you'd have to make a new toon.Only way to avoid cheating. ^_^;

Sounds like a fun little competition.
Do you have any idea when and where you'll be running it? Or are you waiting to see what suits theose signing up without knowing..?
[/ QUOTE ]
I imagine I'll run it in a weeks/2 weeks depending on how much interest there is, but I can't be anymore specific just yet.
What time/day is good for people? I'm free a lot atm, so any is fine for me.
